Easy to Make – No Bake Energy Bars

Energy bars is essential when you go out for a long run or go exploring out on the trails, it can be quite expensive at times. But making your own homemade energy bars can be simple and a cheaper alternative.

Here’s one super easy recipe from YouTube channel Mumsnet, all you need are cashew nuts, dates and chocolate chips.

200g medjool dates (pitted)
150g regular dates (pitted)
200g cashews
100g choc chips

1. Crush cashews in a sandwich bag using a rolling pin
2. Blitz dates in a food processor, then add in the cashews and chocolate chips – and blitz again
3. Spread the mixture in a shallow baking tin lined with greaseproof paper, condensing it as much as possible to prevent it from crumbling later. Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
4. Cut and serve
