PUP Alumni Fun Run 2012 – October 21, 2012

PUP Alumni Fun Run 2012: Takbo para sa Karunungan at Kalikasan will be held on October 21, 2012 at CCP Grounds, Pasay City. The PUP Alumni Fun Run is a benefit run to coincide with the 108th Foundation Anniversary of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Proceeds of the fun run shall be for the benefit of the FEDAAPI Scholarship Fund and the Earth Savers.

    May Finisher’s Medal and/or Shirt po ba? Especially 10k?

  3. @Jayson Agustin.. alumni k din b? .. sna pag PUP Student .. less reg fee.. then gnun din pag alumni.. basta present lng PUP-Alumni ID (d k n mkita ID q hehe) then Guest medyo higher ng konti .. hahaha’ .. sna mkapgreg agad kmi ng mga friends ko.. Wish ko din meron Finisher Medal . Certificate at Finisher Shirts *wish ko lang* naman to.. :)Iskolar ng Bayan

    For the registration, less ung sa mga students ng PUP, sa Alumni and Guest regular registration. Wala kaming Alumni ID sa PUP Taguig, (wala atang ni issue sa amin sa Campus na ‘yon) pero ung PUP ID ko buhay pa… hehe

    Sir Homer, the Finisher’s Medals and Shirts are additional motivational factor to run on this fun event, especially for those serious runners. Those Finisher’s kit also represents as a souvenir for the runners to have as memorabilia as participant of the Fun Run by our Sintang Paaralan.

    But, and I think everyone will agree with me, even without those finisher’s kit, up PUPians will surely participate and have a fun run in the honor of our beloved “Sintang Paaralan” PUP…

    Pay the corresponding fees:
    Students: 3k-300 Guests: 3k-400
    5k-350 5k-450

    Claim Kit (singlet, race bib, baller id)
    Keep acknowledgement receipt for proof of payment

      Jayson Agustin. the singlets sizes are based on the regular sizes of RTW. X-Small, Small, Medium, Large and X-Large!

Hi Sir Rey, i send an email @ fedaapi2008@yahoo.com or maureenpaz@yahoo.com (but still no reply)requesting for a copy of reg form in PDF FIles or even sift copy not in .jpeg type kc not readable after ko maprint un ndownload ko s fb …any registration except sa Tahanang Alumni @ PUP Main.. busy po kc sa work and no time pra mkpunta pra magreg..sunday lng po ako wla work’

  7. kakaregister ko lang kanina :) pumunta ako sa PUP campus – Alumni Building besides the Swimming pool area :) unfortunately, wala pang singlet dahil sa wednesday pa daw ang pick-up.

  11. Grabe super late ang start ng funrun, ang pangit ng pag ka organize. nakalagay sa psoter is 4 am, pero nag star is almost 6am na. hay nako ang pangit gn organzier nito. 4 am tinatayo pa alng yung start/finish an banner . tsktsk

  12. First of all, I love my school PUP. However, I have to agree with aze, the event was disorganized. I actually felt bad because I was very hopeful this event would generate a positive vibe for the school. It was a call for the PUP alumni community to look back at their roots. I certainly did.

    This fun run was so disorganized:
    1. Marshals weren’t doing their job like diverting foot traffic or properly coordinating the registration.
    2. Registration was a mess. As it turned out, the bib attachments has no corresponding number. Imagine arriving at the event and the first thing you have to do is register your number. They were doing everything manually. After the race, the attachment for the finish line has no bib# so you either have to write the number yourself before getting counted or someone has to do it – the marshals.
    3. As in other run events, sponsors weren’t that many. A bottle of Aquabest water and some calendars. That was it. We were able to get Sustagen Premium but that’s only available for runners 25 yrs old and above. No photobooth either.
    4. The program started at a very late time. Assembly time was at 4am but the whole program started at almost 6am.
    5. The route was a simple perimeter run of the CCP complex. Hence, 10k runners had to run alongside the 3k runners on their succeeding laps. If they were tracking their times, I’m sure they won’t be beating their PRs.
    6. There was no solid program on stage either. We did start with a prayer but I was hoping we would sing either the national anthem or the school hymn.
    7. It would have made more sense if they organized a FUN WALK instead of a RACE. We participated in the 3k and we decided to just walk. A FUN WALK or how about the HUMAN RAINBOW back in the centennial celebration!

    On a good side..
    This was their first time to organize the event. They should pick a company that is well versed in these fun run events. Not necessarily RIO since he’s too expensive. Proper bib# programming and proper marshal coordinating. And even just a handful of sponsors will do.

    I do hope PUP Alumni community would at least try to uplift our school. Our school is better than this!!! I felt KAWAWA for me and even for the current PUP students. It is such a cliche to say that PUP is a state-run university, hence the services we get are poor. Even in fun runs? And to think POLITICIAN names were acknowledged during the program. Sounded more like premature campaigning!

  13. name ng mga politician para mag kakapartido pa hehehe…Mahirap talaga ang onsite registration yan ang usually ang cause of delay….Marshal naman di nila alam ang ginagawa nila.. wala mang lang marking na ginagawa sa mga runner na dumadaan para ma identify kung nakadaan o nacomplete nya yung buong race.
