This year’s event, the MNL City Run 2022 entitled: “We Mind Care, a Charity Run to Mental Wellness” mainly focuses on issues about mental health in Celebration of National Mental Health month this October. Its main aspiration is to raise awareness on the enigma, discrimination and challenges of mental healthcare delivery in our country specially during this time of pandemic. According to experts, mental health still remains a mystery to most people and as of today those who suffer from mental disorder still likely to face some level of discrimination. All of this is born out of ignorance and lack of knowledge. Running events have become a tactful platform to raise heedfulness about mental disorders worldwide.
In this year’s Fun Run event, the event aims to inspire runners to be more involved in problems concerning mental health and extend their help to people who are suffering from it. The objective is to let runners relate with individuals who are mentally ill as well as to increase their interests in raising awareness about social issues that our country is facing today. The core is to promote a healthier lifestyle, act for charity and encourage everyone to experience a fun-filled run.
With this, the event organizers have chosen ELSIE’S GACHES VILLAGE to be their beneficiary and some of the proceeds will be donated as part of our campaign to mental health.
