frontrunner Valley Trail Challenge 5 – June 28, 2015

frontrunner Magazine, “Ang pambansang babasahin ng mananakbong Pilipino” cordially invites everyone to join the 5th edition of the Valley Trail Challenge that will be held on June 28, 2015 at Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

They offer a race distance for everyone: whether you are a newbie in trails, a first-time ultramarathoner, or one trying to beat a personal record.

Experience the peace and serenity of running in a natural setting without the distractions of the usual pre- and post-race fanfare. Test your feet on an out-and-back course that is generally runner-friendly, with a slightly rolling, but mostly flat, terrain consisting of single- and double-track dirt roads.

As a yearly tradition of this race, part of the proceeds will be donated to HERO Foundation.

  1. Don’t join this race.

People who ran this race had massive bouts of doubt whether to run again on the road. And the race director? He will send you to never ending field of grass on your own. There will be routes covered by tree canopies, a few bull which will stare at your red shirt, an open sky and horizon as far as the eyes could see. Oh, and the wind here smells like grass. Don’t be tempted by these things. Else, you will come to hate the pollution, dust, noise, filthy streets of Manila, ill-temper drivers of BGC, and the tall buildings blocking the sky whenever you join road races in the city.

  2. hahaha
after they’ve joined this race they will surely love trail running morethan the usual route in MOA and BGC

  3. @Doods

Hi, as far as I know, Trail Running is way better than Road running. Please don’t judge so quickly. Last Saturday we’ve been to Taal Volcano Island, sumali kami sa 2nd 360 Challenge 25k Trail RUn. Mind you hindi sya nakakatakot insteed adventurous sya. Pag na try mo mag trail run ewan ko lang kung hindi mo hahanap hanapin. Trail RUn is LOVE. Try first before you judge.

ndi mo ata nagets ibig sabihin ni Doods, pakibasa pong mabuti at pakiimtindi, IRONIC po ang pagkakadescribe nya… :)))
    peace :)

  5. Hi. Anyone joined this run before? Was the route a technical terrain one or just simply a plain dirt road? If the latter, would it be ideal to use a road running shoe? Tnx.
