1. What will happen if I don’t make it to the cut-off? Do I still get the Finisher Shirt?
– Yes, as long as you run and finish the race, you will get the Finisher Shirt for the category.

2. Will it be considered DNF if I don’t make it to the cut-off?
– NO, everyone will be allowed to finish the race, with their best possible time.

3. What is the Gun Start Sequence?
– SUB-2XU wave, followed by 21K Challenge wave and Fun Wave

4. When do you need a medical certificate or a proof of 2:30
– The proof and medical certificate is only applicable for SUB-2XU category. NO NEED for this for the 21K Challenge and Fun Wave.

    • Sa mga sasali naghahanap ako ng info tungkol sa medical certificate, nahihiya Kasi ako mag tanong sa mga doctor, Hindi naman ako customer. Kailangan ko lang po ng info tungkol sa presyo, ano po ba ang ginagawa sa physical test at Kung ano po ang sasabihin ko sa doktor. Kung ibibigay niyo po ang name ng Doktor niyo, ako po ay nakatira sa pasay, bigay niyo na rin po address.

  1. what if you register in sub2 and yet di ka pumasok, but still pasok ka sa sub2.30, makakakuha ka padin ba ng finishers medal?

  3. Nalito ako dun sa TEAM CHALLENGE category (Solo runner kasi ako). Chooose an answer na lang para madali. — A.)You mean LAHAT kayo dapat mag-cross ng finish line? B.) Kanya-kanya kayo ng tawid sa finish line then kukunin average time niyo? Second question…. dapat ba 5:10 ang pace para ma break ang sub 2?

  4. For Team Setup.. If Cumulative Team Average did not meet Sub 2 criteria, will the qualified Individuals still get a Medal (and Jacket)?..

  5. it would be better, to just run as individual instead of a group, since most of us run to defeat our own time, our old self.

  6. i have a series of runs before november… if i improve consistently… i’ll take on the sub 2 otherwise i’ll stay with 2 and 30…

    • kung sasali c The Shield walang problema kc nererespeto nya ang distance at alam nyang kaya nya. sana ang sabihin mo kayong mga walker ang sumali sa ganitong run at tignan ko kung may pride pa kayong natitira

      • pride is relative to a person… nakakapanghinayang na something positive as running is turned otherwise by elitist who think they are better than other people just because they run faster… last 21k i ran my time was 2 and 10… if you we’re faster than me then well and good for you… but regardless if i finished last or first i am still proud of what i accomplished… and I won;t go on bad mouthing people just because i have the egotistic notion that i am better than them…

        let me ask you… proud ka ba sa panglalait mo sa mga taong ni hindi mo nga kilala… if you are then you are just as sad as “the shield” you are aligning yourself too…

        running is supposed to bring out positive vibes and yet there are people here who just don’t get it… i hope the moderators of this page take note of comments like these… the running community don’t need people like these… even if they can run 21k under an hour…

      • welll the guard if u are truly an elite runner u should run in international marathon not only here locally besides all big things come in small packaging always remember that.be nice to the people on ur way up because u will meet them on ur way up ok and also.always be humble in every circumstances u are in.dont boast about today for u dont know what a day may bring fourth.dont tell me ur not a walker before u begin to be an elite runner?not walker as what u are trying to imply.just an opinion/observation my dear nothing personal.gbu all.

  7. what if you register for sub 2 but finished above it but not over 2:30, will you at least have a medal for finishing instead of a jacket?

  8. Haba ng speech ni enishe29 ah. Ikaw ba ngsulat ng speech ni Senator Bong Revilla nung inaakusahan siya sa Pork Barrel Scam? no need to post your time in a 21k. Its like posting your statistical figure. Its annoying. This is not a dating game. Im sure walang sasali na walkers dito kasi nga hindi nila makukuha ang medal pag hindi sila nakapasok sa cutoff. Baka daw masayang “binayad” nila.

    • actually it should be the other way around… people like you are the one should be labeled annoying… actually i urged the walkers to join this event… whether they make it in time or not… just as long as they finish… annoying elitist individuals like you during the run who think they are better is way more better than receiving any medal…

      you blast fellow runners… labeling them blatantly as walkers when they are merely there to find the joy of running… you even blast at events that doesn’t meet your criteria… tattling that medal giving races are trivial and are not worth people’s time… you are indeed exuding with positive vibes (in case you miss it… insert sarcasm here)

      i’ll reiterate my earlier point of view… the running community does not need elitist and pompous people… what it needs are runners who respect fellow runners first and foremost and runners who gives out positivity rather than those acting holier than thou

      • Let’s focus on the obvious point that is being made. Shield may be crude in his posts but he has a point.

        It doesn’t matter if you can finish a 21k faster or slower than others but please don’t walk!

        To walk 20 meters to or from a hydration station is fine but to walk in between and sometimes for minutes means you don’t deserve to be in that category.

        Please don’t get me wrong I would love for everyone to get into a healthy lifestyle and run a sub 2hr 21k but please train for it and don’t just enter a category because nakikiuso ka or most of your friends are running that category.

Hello admin, suggest lang po sana, yung color ng singlet for 21k, hindi na white like sa 10k sub-1, kasi katagalan un white dina white ang kulay, umiitim na,, kapag parati gamit lalo na pag training mag-jog o run o aero,, make it sana either red, blue, black or grey. un lang po.. thanks po and count me in ^_^

    • I like this suggestion. Sana nga minimal naman yung WHITE na color this time. May white pa din pero hindi na dominant color.

  10. Napaka tagal pa nito. Ang hirap mag commit…bka biglang may kasabay na mas Magandang event.
    Watch and wait mode muna ako.

  11. Guys, sa november pa ito (6 months to go). Kung pwede lang sana itigil niyo na muna yang “useless” argument niyo kasi usapang “pride” lang yan (Ituloy niyo na lang siguro kapag mga October na). Let the walkers walk and the runners run. In the end of the day, only them can find the TRUTH. Leave it at that. You know what? Let’s just update each others’ PR for every race that we join in 21k before this one. At least the novice runners reading this thread will have THE idea of what takes to beat the sub 2 and who are the people they are going to run with. That will somehow give them the impression whether they can “walk” this one out or train hard for it. It’s a healthy competition. Kaysa yung ganyan. Malulungkot teachers niyo sa ginagawa niyo. We’re all educated people here kaya let us all keep it civilized. (FACT: You can have a “walk break” during SUB 2. You can use that to reset your heart rate and breathing. BUT… it must only take you less than a minute for that).

      I am new to running races but i have been running ever since… and what i learned thru running is harnessing positive calmness…

      what we have here is an elitist who is putting everyone down and sucking all that is positive in this sport we love… he prides himself as a true runner and yet he does not know the very core ethics of being a runner…

      Honestly I could care less of a guy who thinks he’s God when all he is is an less than average individual with low self esteem trying to get everyone’s attention…

      But the thing is… I love running enough to not just stand down and say nothing…

      true runners should be encouraging fellow runners and not relegate them to be called as “mere walkers”… true runners should be supporting the propagation of more events and not blasting organizers just because they give medals to runners, elitist deem not worthy and just because they don’t give ride all you can tickets or just because an elitist can’t afford it when he knows its supposed to be for charity….

      I am an educated person.. and i don’t think my teachers or professor would be sad at the sight of me aiding the side of those being belittled by someone who doesn’t even have the slightest right to call himself a runner… So excuse me sir if I do not heed your advice…

        dont get me wrong, Actually I love runners who discourage me(though I love all runners/walkers.. hahaha)., Im too positive to be discourage anyway, saka I use their discouragement as motivation, they can speak non-sense all day, while im at the road hitting miles and miles breaking my old PR, in event or not,

        (I use miles, may nagtanong baket daw, sabi ko “trip ko eh”… hahaha).

        basta takbo lang ng takbo, maglakad ka man, sooner or later mangangati din paa mo at tatakbo ka din.

    • if you have been scouring pinoyfitness.com ma’am… even before my 2 comments above, i have already calmly asked the moderators or powers that be of this site to try to do something about this… and i’d like to think they did since there was an instance that a post of his was deleted… but since then this guy has been lambasting away… and nothing has been done… no moderation and no reprimand… i for one will stand for it… as a runner will you?

      i am not arguing, i am merely stating my case without stepping at any ones toes… note the calm and collected demeanor of my comments without using profanity proving my point that i am not arguing…

      and don’t worry ma’am… this would probably be my last comment in this place… or might very well be my last visit… as i refuse to be part of a place that would condone this kind of behavior…

    • ,,,the 2-hrs cutoff time is for the sub-2 category, if you accept that challenge. you can still opted to take the 2.5hrs cutoff challenge. beyond that time, i’m not sure if you’re entitled to any, probably an FS.

  14. The only person you should try to be better than is yourself. Other’s performance could serve as your motivation or could serve as a challenge but you don’t have to compete with them. Grow up people. Mind your own distance, mind your own pace, mind your own race. Kung gusto niyo ng malulupit na runners na kasabay, sa Boston Marathon kayo sumali. Haha.

  15. gusto ko sana, di lang medal sa makakapasok sa 2.5hr cut-off (or kahit wala nang medal), finisher’s shirt na lang

      • ung mga nagpa register ng sub 230 at finisher sila sana bigyan din ng jacket. that should make sense.

  17. Well lahat naman nag simula sa mahina bago gumaling at bumilis sa pagtakbo. Practice lang naman ang kailangan. Please let us not discourage others, instead lets help them improve and motivate them to be faster. Ano naman kung gusto nila maglakad the goal is to finish the race no matter what the medals the shirts just comes in 2nd.

  18. wag po natin kalimutan na dahil sa mga (walkers, mahilig sa freebies, medal lang at finishers shirt lang ang habol at mga mahilig lang magselfie na tinatawag nyo) kaya maraming events na tulad nito. kung kayong 20 tao lang na mabibilis tumakbo at hindi naglalakad lang ang sasali sa events na ganito sa tingin nyo ba linggo linggo kayo meron event na nasasalihan? sa tingin nyo ba maenjoy nyo ang mas mababang registration fee? sa mga organizers at administrator ng ganitong site sana wag nyo itolerate ang mga ganitong ugali. yung mga kaibigan ko na hinihikayat ko sumali para maging fit sila ay nawawalan ng gana sumali dahil sa mga nababasa nila.

    • ur korek ms katakung silang mga elitista nalang ang tumakbo wla lalangawinlang sila nkit mgppatakbo ba ang organizers ng 20 pax lang sila common elitist get real wag nyung sbhin kaya sumali kayo dhil ayaw nyo ng medal at jacket magpakatutuo tayo lahat tayo nagsisimula sa ibaba bago marating ang itaas kaya kailangan pa rin natin tumingala sa ibaba kasi mahrap lumagpak ng biglaan masakit ok.get a positive vibrations and aura we are all human.we must support and respect each other ok.

  19. Are you all an athlete? Or just a runner or walker? kung mga atleta kayo ng marathon nasaan ang respect? Discipline? Spirit? I’m new in 21k distance.. i train hard to be like you guys.. i train so hard to be part of your community pero ano yang nababasa ko?? yan ba dapat ang mababasa ng mga gusto sumali sa marathon? Mga walang kakwenta kwentang argumento.. bakit di na lang kayo mang encourage sa iba na gusto rin pasukin ang mundo ng marathon? Why don’t you guys just share what ever knowledge or experience to motivate other runners, elite or beginners..?

  20. Kung talagang malakas ka at mabilis sige takbo, mauna ka na kung gusto mo.. kung mahina ka at mabagal, halika sabay tayo..

    Mahina man o malakas, mabilis o mabagal, runner, walker, team selfie ka man, singlet o medal or kahit mga finisher shirt at freebies lang ang habol, lahat kayo magkikita kita sa finish line..
    Kung elite ka pero mayabang ka, wag mu kalimutan na katunog ng elite ang illiterate..haha be humble and encourage other runners in or out of the race tract..

    • Wag nyo na pansinin yang mga discouragers na yan. Mapa school, trabaho, sports, etc. May mga tao talagang ida-down ka. Ang tanong lang naman dyan is “will you let them stop you?” LOL. Seriously, at the end of the day, what really matters is natapos mo yung race. And you did it for yourself. Sayo yung gain nyan. So kung ma-discourage ka or ma-hype ka sa mga negatives, ikaw ang makikinabang nyan.

  24. ang punto lang naman ni shield ay sumali ka sa distance na pinag practicesan mo hindi dun sa suntok sa buwan, ilang araw palang tumatakbo 21k agad????? cge tama ba un??? kahit mismo si rio dela cruz na organizer hindi ini encourage na tumalon agad sa 21k or 42k. kaya nga po mga 3k, 5k, 10k distance para sa newbie or beginner para ma enjoy nila ang pagtakbo pero kung bago ka lang tapos jump agad ng 21k sa tingin nyo mag eenjoy sila sa takbo nila?

    oo mag eenjoy sila kaka selfie at kakalakad!!

    respect distance…. un lang ang punto….wag ng madaming salita at pinag mamalaki pa nyo ang time nyo dito gawin nyo nalang sa araw ng race!! kung gusto nyo matuto ang mga newbie turuan natin sila na tumakbo sa tamang distansya na kaya lang nila at hindi turuan na pumasok sa isang race na hindi nila pinag ensayuhan…

    hindi ako malakas tumakbo baka my maghamon e!! pero sisiguraduhin ko na sasali lang ako sa distansya na pinag ensayuhan ko…..

    • ako po, i started running events 2 years ago and 21k agad… prior to joining wala ako masyadong training (almost none) — 2 times lang ako nakapag-jogging prior sa event (siguro around 3km yung tinakbo ko)… i did walk during some stretches, and siguro naman “respectable time” yung natapos ko yung takbo in 2 hrs and 45 mins… :) nag-enjoy naman ako during my first event, kaya nga hanggang tumatakbo/sumasali pa din ako e ^_^

        oo nag enjoy pagdating mo sa bahay mo cgurado ako nung araw na un nag kulong ka sa bat cave mo 2 araw

      • @ LA Santiago — uhm…sa tingin ko for a beginner na walang training e “respectable time” na yun (pero kung matagl ka na tumatakbo e hindi nga respectable time yun)… and FYI, after the run e nakagala pa ko and then nakapasok din ako sa office kinabukasan (umakyat and bumaba ng MRT station)… so, siguradong-sigurado ako na mali ka :)

        hindi kaya si “The Shield” ka??? nagpalit ka lang ng pangalan para maka-post ka (kasi pansin ko lang halos lahat ng post ni “The Shield” e nawala na)

      • not really… Botak and Kadla has a 21 K distance and yet I would consider that a fun run… this sub 2 challenge however is indeed a serious run…

    • curious lang… hindi ka malakas tumakbo pero para sa yo ang 2 hours and 45 minutes eh hindi respectable time… really? so basically are you saying na lahat ng tumatakbo ng lalagpas ng 2:45 sa oras eh walang karapatang sumali sa half mary kasi dapat magtraining muna sila para maabot ang 2:20 na respectable time in your opinion… just asking…

      Iba-iba ang nagpapasaya sa bawat tao, meron dahil sa personal best, ung iba sa freebies, meron sa finisher shirt, meron din sa medal, at meron din nman sa pagseselfie.

Maybe he’s happy whenever he see his alias here. :D Parang movie lang yan walang excitement pag walang kontrabida. Just let him. Di naman kayo maapektuhan kung di kayo papaapekto di ba?   29. Sana kung sakaling mag register ako ng sub2.5 at nakatapos ng sub2 makakuha paren ako ng jacket at medal.ganun den kung sakaling nagregister ako sa sub2 at umabot ng sub2.5,sana may medal paren. Kahit walang jacket. para di sayang.

    • @glenn, malabo yung una mong sinabi.. edi lahat nalang mag reregister ng sub2.5 dahil sure naman pla magkakajacket pag nakuha mo sub2. Syempre mas mahal ng kaunti yung registration ng sub2 kesa sa sub2.5. pero sure ako na pag reg ka ng sub2 at di mo natapos ang 21k in less than 2hrs pero pasok ka sa 2.5hrs may medal ka pa rin.. nga lang wala ka jacket..Eto yung magandang event na mamotivate yung mga runners na mag train more..(distance and speed).. ngayon palang congrats na sa pinoyfitness dahil binigyan nyo kami ng time to prepare para sa event na ito..     • sub1 sa 10K, sub 2 sa 21k at sub 4 sa 42k.. mukhang di ko pa kaya yung sub 4 pero maganda yun talagang kailangan paghandaan…

  30. tagal ng August.. excited na ako magpareg.. try to improve my PR..remember bago tumakbo sa run na ito dapat handa ang katawan at pag iisip.. Running 21k is not a joke lalo na kung kukunin sa sub 2… malayo pa naman ito marami pang oras para maghanda…

  32. A famous pinoy athlete once said that if you’re just running just because everybody’s doing it, when the times get rough, you will give up that easily.
    Everybody’s into running right now, but when it’s not that popular anymore, they’re going to go back to sitting on the couch and play dota.

  33. sir marv hindi po siye male/female partner. the table dun sa poster means ang cut off time for sub2 is the same for both males and females. normally po kasi mas mataas ang binibigay na cut off time for females. but this time, everything is the same for all runners. you can run SOLO so dont even worry about finding a running partner. thanks po.

  37. Ung 2XU shirt ba ano material used? Baka simple cotton shirt din lang yan. Sana naman dri fit yung shirt. Kasi ang mahal nung registration fee.

  38. Wala naman pumipigil sa mga gustong sumali, kung gustong sumali ng runner, wala kayong karapatan pigilan. Kung hindi matapos within the time, eh di hindi!
