What is Indoor Ultimate?
Well, it’s basically Ultimate played on a basketball court. It has basically the same rules and regulations but with alterations in terms of the playing area dimensions and the number of players on the playing area at a time.
Why should you be part of this event?
This event is the first event of its kind. It aims to promote Indoor Ultimate as a sport because, culturally speaking, it seems that Indoor Ultimate is ideal for the Philippines whose landscape is governed by more basketball courts than fields. Schools all over the Philippines would realize that Ultimate Frisbee is not exclusively for fields and that it’s a sport viable for teaching for any institution that has a basketball court. Being a part of this event means being part of the movement to share the love for the sport and the cause to further the sport in our country.
Why promote it in the first place?
Ultimate promotes values that are worth learning. The concept of the Spirit of the Game helps players keep in mind that you treat your opponents like you would want to be treated. The fact that referees are absent in this sport promotes honesty since the players are the ones who make the calls. These are only a few of the things that you learn from playing Ultimate Frisbee and, if I do say so myself, the Ultimate Frisbee community is one of the most welcoming and fun-loving communities that you can ever be part of.
