UPDATE ON REGENT RUN 2012. As of today, we are pushing through the run this Sunday.

Regent Foods Corp. in cooperation with LEADPACK and Takbo.ph would like to encourage runners who will be joining this Sunday’s run to donate goods (ready to eat food, canned goods, water, medicine, clean clothes, slippers, blankets, etc) as Philippines Red Cross will have a drop-off tent on-site. All donated goods will go directly to Philippines Red Cross, official beneficiary of Regent Run.

A little bit will go a long way.

  37. sna mapostponed 2 kc postponed un Rexona.. pra may pagkakataon ako maka pag register pa.. Regent ipostponed nyo n 2 pra sa safety ng runners… masama pa rin ang weather eh.. at para makaregister p din kmi.. hehehehe..

  50. Regent Foods: hindi pa po ba cancelled or moved yong date ng run! metro manila were flooded already! have considerations, please!!!!

    • IMHO, mahirap nang iresched itong event since madaming event ang nakasched
      this september and october.

      It would be too far kung november or december unless otherwise itatapat ito sa
      other big event like RU3, Rexona or MHU.

  53. Sana mamove yun regent. Yung rexona which is scheduled kasabay ng regent na move na. Dami mahihirapan umatend dahil nasalanta ng ulan. Hindi lang naman yung maganda na ang panahon ang dapat maiconsider. Dapat ding tingnan yun mga runners na naapektuhan ng ulan lalo na yung hangan sa linggo may tubig pa rin sa loob ng bahay nila. Please decide na po para mas maadvise ng mas maaga ang mga runners.

  54. @Mel – agree ako sau. sna nga maresched to. marami din cguro un mga registered runner n naapektuhan ni habagat. sna maconsider nila n maimove. Just like RunRio, namove un sched to reach out dun sa mga nasalanta ng baha. kaya Regent ipostponed nyo n din khit next week n pra mkregister p din kmi..

  55. di po mamomove ng date yung event? okay lang naman tumakbo nang umuulan kasi recently lang tumakbo kami sa run for light nang umuulan din. wag lang naman po yung ganito na kalala to the point na may baha. take into consideration po sana yung safety ng mga runners, di lang on the event itself kundi pati narin on their way to the event.

  59. @takbo lang ng takbo – gnun ba? dpat nga mas iniisip ng nila un safety ng runners kc red cross un beneficiary nila. tska pnu un mga participants n napektuhan ng baha? habang tumatakbo cla eh lumalangoy nman sa baha un iba. mamove p rin sana..

  60. We are monitoring the weather and will release our official decision by tomorrow. But as of today, we are pushing through the run this Sunday. Most says that we continue this run given that Aug. 12 has been marked already in their calendars. And also, Philippine Red Cross being our beneficiary will be having their drop-off booth on that day and we encourage our participants to bring donations if they can. We believe that they need us the most these days and that’ll be our main cause if ever we will push this event through. Please keep yourself updated here, takbo.ph and at our facebook fanpage.   61. Thanks Regent… still hoping n mapostponed pra mas marami pa din makajoin at the same time eh maensure n OK tlga ang weather. mahirap din kc sa mga runners n tumakbo ng malakas ang ulan. bka mapektuhan din un distribution of bags and otehr give aways. God Bless us all.

  62. I-tuloy na lang ng Regent yun run kasi RED CROSS is expecting runners to bring donations this sunday. OK lang din kahit hindi ako makaka takbo sa run this sunday dahil baha sa amin. Basta makaka-tulong sa mas marami is better. I-donate na lang ni Regent yun loot bag ko sa red cross dahil i really can’t make it this sunday.

    Wag naman sana magkaubusan ng Finisher Shirt dahil lang sa bandits (if I read your message right). If the organizer will just follow their own rule with the claiming of shirt via Finisher Stub, then I surmise there will be no problem – except perhaps with regard to sizes. ;D

If Red Cross will be the beneficiary of this run … then the more that Regent should re-open the registration for all categories and re-sched the event 1-2 weeks from now para mas maraming mag-register pa. Last weekend e marami kaming naubusan at di na nakapag-paregister sa Runner and Robinson’s-Pioneer. Hope Regent will consider re-scheduling specially na marami pang runners ang submerge ng floodwaters.

Bkit kya ganun ang attitude ng pilipinno. kpag nasaraduhan ng registration or naubusan ng slot nagccomplain. we know nman na almost all of the Fun run events they have their deadline but it is until my slots or supplies last. The next tym u want to join an event much better if we register as early as possible.

  73. Correction. not actually complaint. We usually ask for additional slots or extend the registration. or even sometimes we are suggesting to move the event for the sake na makapag paregister tau. ders still a lot of fun run event p nman.

  77. road runner – kya nga po tinawag n suggestion eh suggestion lng po. not necessarily nman n gwin nila. xempre its organizers discretion n lng kung pagbibigyan nila. kung ndi pde eh OK kung pde nman eh mas OK. ndi lng po sa pinoy nangyayari yan. we know n marami p ding runs jan pero since interested kmi we suggest. cguro kung may nabasa k na nagcomment at nagalit dhil ndi napagbigyan un suggestion eh tsaka k magreact. kso wla nman po dba.. chill k lng. hehehe

  78. Guys, masyado nang mahaba ang binigay na araw ng Regent para magpa register. Ang sakit naman ng sinasabi ng iba na dahil sa na cancel yung isang patakbo eh kailangan masali sila dito. Hindi ba parang panakip butas lang itong move na ito? Second choice lang dahil wala ng schedule yung una nilang pinili? Kahit nga ako more than a month na since nagregister yung mga kaibigan kong gusto humabol eh wala na rin nakuhang slots.

    Nothing personal pero we (yung mga naunang nagregister) deserve to have what we choose diba? Kung magkakaroon ng changes, ok lang. Wag lang sana ipamukha na kailangan nung ibang sumali dahil wala na silang tatakbuhan.

  87. I got the last slot for 16-k kanina sa Runnr. Madaming nakaregister sa Rexona Run ang gustong humabol kasi postpone yung tatakbuhin nila…

  88. Ito ang PINOY… ibang klase talaga… iba’t-iba ang opinyon pero kapit bisig sa pagtulong…

    Yung iba gusto i-postpone para sa kapakanan ng mga nag-register na affected ng ulan at pagbaha…

    Yung iba gustong ituloy para din naman tumulong at makalikom ng donations sa mga runners…

    Parehong tama! ang galing! ito ang BAYANIHAN!

    again tulong! hindi tayo tutulad sa iba na “YUMAYAMAN BY SERVING THE POOR”!.
