registered already d other day at Shangrila.. available sizes nila dun for now ay small at medium lng. blik uli me tom pra i-register nmn ung friend ko,bukas pa raw kc mgkakaroon ng large at xl na sizes. malalaki ang sizes ng shirt nila, im sure para sa lhat ay ok na ang medium na size.. register na agad bka maubusan pa kyo at pra makapagpractice na rin.. ;-)

if you are planning for a new personal record then this is the race to be in due to the run united scheduled on the same date. expect the petron race route to be wide open for runners who are gunning for a strong finish.

opinion ko lang, okay lang kasabay ng big event like RU2 ang Petron Lakbay Alalay Fun Run… pag marami ang sumali sa mga murang event na ganito na kasabay ng mga mahal na event.. malay nyo mapaisip sila coach rio at iba pang organizer na babaan ang registration fees nila… pag nangyari yun.. masaya tayong lahat na runners! :))

matapang sila sumabay kasi alam nilang may SAY sila :) sasali ako dito dahil pag hindi kawalan ko yun. Murang mura.

dito na tayo sa mura pero sulit! kung bitin kayo sa 10K puede naman ulit umikot para 20K mileage. huwag ninyo lang kalimutan magdala ng extra hydration sa pangalawang ikot at baka wala ng water stations.

From a marketing perspective, sasabayan mo ba ang pinakasikat na run dito sa pinas? Syimpri hati ang mga runners between the two..not so smart di ba considering matagal ng nag-announced ng schedule and RU2.

It doesn’t makes sense na sabayan nila ang RU2 unless may sentimental value sa kanila ang date na yan :).

in fairness to petron the race was organized for a cause and not for a profit. noticed the reasonable registration fees with free singlet and finisher kit? not all race organizers are created equal because some races are organized for bona fide beneficiaries rather than moneymaking venture.

Look at the other RUN, they are now giving out free slots (WHY?). Petron’s killing the monopoly :)

The event is a CSR initiative and it’s target participants are running enthusiast who are not after big events. It is not after having 10,000 runners to participate. It is for runners who are after the cause and would like to have fun.

We would just like to clarify that we have set the date on June 17 not to create a competition between Petron Lakbay Alalay’s fun run and Unilab’s Run United 2. We have made thorough researches before releasing the said date/venue and we are giving all of our dear runners the privilege to choose in which event they would participate.

Petron Corporation has their reasons why this was the released date so we are hoping for your understanding and cooperation on this. :)

We highly respect Unilab’s Fun Run so we hope that this event will not bring any conflicts to our runners.

Also, for people who are asking about what are included in the loot bag.. Sorry to inform you but we still cannot disclose it as of now.

@Gurviel Viel: yes.Am registered at Chris Sports-SM City Annex, and they were able to give me right away the singlet and other race kit.

just registered at travel club trinoma. race kit provided upon registration includes petron singlet, b-tag bib and route map. P400 lang kaya sulit!

i have no problem about the race date. why should there be? in fact it turned out better than expected. competing with a popular but crowded race will make this race more fun. imagine a wide open race route free from obstruction with water stations along the way. :-D

but wait there is more! ortigas has a paved road network that you can use after the race. kaya kung bitin ka sa 10K puede kang umikot ulit para long run. meron 711 at mini stop kung kailangan ninyo ng extra water/gatorade.

we were trying to register @ chris sports-sm mega yesterday(may 21,2012(but unfortunately they said they are still waiting for the instructions of petron …..:( disappointed….please advise where to register….

i’m sure this will be a fun event…..it will be my first time to run in ortigas….’tis reasonably priced…..hope other organizers will match this activity….way to go PETRON!!!!

registered na dito.kasama ko si Bahbah ko at officemates/tropa ko…mas gusto namin dito. ayaw na namin sa “mahal” na takbo. masyado na commercialized…oops! hehe. This will be my third run sa C5…ayus! makakasabay ko na naman ang mga delivery trucks at container vans. nyahaha. see u sa run guys!

Sobra aga ng start ng 10K. Puwedi ba mga 5:15 am . Early morning sunshine is good for the bones.

thanks for the sharing the start/finish line location. there is a 711 and mini stop near that area for those in need of extra hydration in case you want to extend your run beyond 10K like me.

Folks, running is all about yourself, what you can give, and not about the singlet, medals, and the bananas. I just hope that Petron moves this event as the realities of RU2’s goodwill is real.

This run has all the markings of a Condura brand. Goodluck.

i agree with what you said but let us face the facts and figures. most runners join superior races because of the branded singlet and corporate freebies. while inferior races receive a lukewarm reception as shown by the minimal number of registrants. expect RU2 to be a blockbuster (14,000+ runners) but petron run to be a dismal (4,000 runners). for the record i registered to petron run instead of RU2 to support the underdog.

REGISTRATION COMPLETE. dalawa kami nagparegister dito sa event, sa TRavel club Shangrila, actually i checheck ko lang dapat yung singlet, but the saleslady is good on making salestalk?,maganda daw yung fit na singlet for me, kasi buff ang muscles..ako naman naniwala.3K registered! mura na maganda pa singlet.
