The Adidas adiNation of Runners (ANR) movement which has about a thousand members in the Metro Manila area scattered among its present four group sites in Pearl Drive, Ortigas; Madrigal Circle in Ayala Alabang; Boni High Street in Taguig and Ayala Triangle in Makati will be opening another venue at the University of the Philippines, Diliman Campus in Quezon City on November 9, 2010.

The running sessions will be held every Tuesday evenings thereafter, starting at 6:30pm assembly time while sessions starts promptly at 7:00pm.

The Team Leaders of the UP group will lead different levels of runners and pace them according to each present skills and ability. The runs will progress with their participation to different races and culminate in Adidas sponsored runs and races like the King Of The Road (KOTR) race.

A hosts of benefits and incentives awaits each runner who joins the adiNation group in UP and those of the other venues as well.

–Runners will be issued adiNation Passports prior to the start of the program, to be stamped by Team Leaders at the end of all training sessions.
–Stamps accumulated in your Passports get Adidas freebies and discounts of up to 30% on Adidas products.
–Exclusive race subsidies, discounts or free registration for selected races.
–Priorities to in-store sales, introductory products and many others.

The adiNation of Runners family movement was in full force during the Adidas King Of The Road (KOTR) race last October 24, 2010 held at The Fort where the different venue groups opened their registration for new members.

Team Leaders for the UP group will be headed by Rene Villarta and Abby Jocson, who will handle the advance and intermediate groups while Cecille Lavarez will be in charge of the beginners group. Overseer of the Adination movement is Jinoe Gavan of takbo.ph.

Adidas Coach Jojo Macalintal will be the Head Coach. He, together with his coaching staff will be present for the first few Tuesdays to teach beginners and advance runners the proper running technique, body alignment, running form, stretching exercises, plyometric routines and other drills necessary to make runners unleash their full running potential.

  1. Hi Thor,

There are no fees to join. However, you will have to register with Adidas Trinoma to enjoy the benefits of being an adination member. All details will be furnished to you upon your registration or at the UP group event itself.

    Thanks!

  2. hi, i work in ayala avenue from mon-fri and i would like to join this training in ayala triangle. Is that every tues 6:30pm too like the one in UP Diliman? And do i have also to register first in Adidas Trinoma? Thanks a lot and more power!

  3. @john, adiNation MOA will start this Wednesday, Nov 10. meet up will be at the IMAX parking corner Sunset Ave at 7pm.

  4. hi,
i joined the ANR in ayala triangle last tuesday, my first time to join them. i cant help but compare the training to RUNNEX. And i can say i like RUNNEX more because they explained everything. What we need to do before, during & after the run. And why we need to do it. And they taught us the proper arm and leg position and the right running form. And i gave them two thumbs up for that! But during the ANR ayala training, they explained how we can get 30% off of adidas merchandize, etc etc etc. My observation is this, ANR was trying to sell their merchandize while RUNNEX training is REALLY A RUN TRAINING. Though ANR didn’t obliged us to buy those stuff pero you will have the feeling of getting it kasi halos lahat ng kasali ay meron. You will be a sort of an outcast if wala ka non. Sayang, I was so excited pa naman ng malaman ko about this ANR training in ayala triangle kasi convenient sa kin since I am in Makati mon-fri. I live far from UP Diliman where RUNNEX training is but i wont mind taking a 30-min bus ride every early sunday morning kung magandang training naman nakukuha ko. No offense meant to the ANR organizers but I think RUNNEX is really a good run-training group. Ill go back training with RUNNEX. Anyway, thanks for the free adidas socks & master eskinol.

  5. @runlover, the aNR is designed really as a running group. This is done in other countries as well. It is not a running clinic and the team leads are not coaches. So I would agree that RUNNEX will be better as a training run. But if you wish to meet fellow runners and get to find running buddies on weekdays, then aNR will be an alternative.

  6. I’m interested in pursuing the adination run. Been waiting for an area nearer to my place, which is from tandang sora. And tuesday is the best time for me since its my rest day from the gym. Can you email me the number of the person I can contact for the UP group. Thanks. Email is [email protected]
