The Hangaway Trail Ultra returns on August 10, 2025, as the first ultra-distance trail running event in Panay Island. Organized by ARTrunning, this trail race takes place in the heart of Antique – a land rich in culture, history, and natural beauty. Drawing inspiration from the legendary “Hangaway” warriors, this event challenges participants to embody courage and endurance as they journey through Antique’s untamed landscapes – from forested paths and river crossings to rugged mountain trails and remote villages.
With race categories ranging from 12KM to 50KM, Hangaway is both a test of grit and a celebration of the Antiqueño spirit, offering a unique opportunity for beginners and elite athletes alike to push their limits and reconnect with heritage.
