  1. yay! same organizer ba ito sa dating Manila International Marathon na tumalbog yung cheque for cash prizes? at ilang beses na-postpone? at nung natuloy na eh, binuksan yung roxas blvd to vehicles kahit hindi pa cut-off?

  2. sasali ako dito first ko mag 42km . first and last ito .. kaya pag hahandaan ko ito dis will be my comemorative run na ipagmamalaki ko sa pamilya ko

  4. Same question, when’s the start of the registration? Maraming options where to register based on the list of stores above.

  6. Organizers or anyone can answer please. Pumunta akong toby’s galleria. Walang registration dun. San bang mga branches ang reg site? Thank you.

  7. baket ganun? manila marathon is an event in celebration of manila’s founding anniversary…pero, walang in-store registration sa city of manila? :(

  9. @des 6Hrs Cutoff time for 21k and have a finishers medal.. as i called last week..

sayang di ako nakahabol sa registration…. :(

  10. ATTENTION RUNNERS and RDs! Presenting my medal and shirt for the WORST and most SCANDALOUS marathon I’ve experienced, the Manila Marathon. This is not by the way a notion to create an immature whining, but to plainly state pure disappointing facts based on experience. So here:
    1. The 42.195km run was only actually about 38km in my Endomondo. Running apps may not always provide accurate measurement, but error made commonly exceeds the expected distance. Surely, most runners made an “unproud marathon PR”.
    2. The fin shirt/medal claiming was a total mess. The tables where the shirts and medals were placed were worse than a mixed bag. The assigned marshals carelessly distributed fin shirts and medals not considering if they’d given the right shirt size/distance and medal distance. The queue took more than a hundred meters because of poor distribution system. Lots of tired runners were already literally yelling and complaining. A runner and the gay shirt giver/marshal even exchanged foul words that I thought was unnecessary.
    3. Even if I finished 4hrs17mins for the “42km”, I was not able to get my preferred shirt size. Instead of small, I got XL which will never ever fit me. I am certain I was at the upper half of the finishers and I was thinking what kind of finishers kit awaited those who were just about to finish after me. Some runners ran out of shirts and medals at an early time.
This was the first time that this happened to me, so I expressed my dismay to the organizer (I don’t personally know him, but i knew he was the organizer. In response, he handed me a scratch paper and asked me to jot my info down for me to get my right shirt size when they’re ready. So let’s just see what’l happen next. #AsaMe
On a brighter side, hydration in my experience was enough,. thanks to Maynilad.
I knew, I’d matured enough compared before when it comes to responding to the events that disappoint me. I had completed lots of marathons and ultras and I learned alot from those. As much as possible, I didn’t want to spread negative commentaries but this was just way too intolerable for me. I hope, the organizer and the runners will get something from this experience..

  11. My observations on this run:

    – no starting line chip timer, not even a starting line marker
     – there seems to be no marshals at major intersections and turning points, only the Manila policemen were present
     – running towards to finish line there was no directions on how to do it, no
    marshals to ask.
    – no time display for the 21K finishers, I only see 0:00:00
    – I did not see any finishing line chip reader along the route or in the finish area.

Running on Roxas Blvd in the early morning with only a few others was a treat, but this race is not even disorganized, there seems to be no attempt at basic organization.

  13. AllanJayQuesada hay nako i agree, even the staffs ay hindi nice at arrogant pa na parang wala eh ubos na lista mo nalang name mo dito”. sa plain paper na ppwedeng mawala or liparin, niwala man lang logbook kase i assume may count na sila ng all participants at dapat equal un finishers kit nila sa mga nagregister.

hindi manlang magapologize. at they say na only 42 and 21 lang may fin shirt and medal eh how come may mga 3k na meron at stated naman dito sa post nila na all finishers ay may medal and shirt and cert. mali mali info parang mga kinuha lang sa kanto ang staffs nila. worst race event ever.

  15. TO THE ORGANIZER,

ANO NG BALITA DUN SA MGA FINISHER’S SHIRT AT MEDALS NA HINDI NYO BINIGAY? UP TO NOW, WALA KAMING NAKUKUHANG TAWAG OR SMS MAN LANG!
