Pick UP The Pace – August 12, 2012

The UP Society of Geodetic Engineering Majors (UP GEOP), a student organization in the University of the Philippines Diliman, will be organizing a fun run: Pick UP the Pace marking the 75th anniversary of the Geodetic Engineering Department. This activity is open for all ages, both amateur and professional runners who wanted to keep and stay fit while having fun. It will be held inside the campus of UP Diliman.

Pick UP The Pace
August 12, 2012 @ 6AM POSTPONED
University of the Philippines Diliman Campus
3K / 5K / 10K
Organizer: UP Society of Geodetic Engineering Majors in cooperation with the Department of Geodetic Engineering

[UPDATE as of 8-9-2012]

Dear Runners,
Pick UP the Pace will not push through this Sunday due to floods in the surrounding areas. The recent slew of heavy rains, which caused class suspensions in UP all throughout the week, has left the campus in bad condition. With many of the roads leading to UP still impassable, it is no guarantee that the school grounds would be ready in the coming weekend, as the university will channel full efforts to helping Filipinos affected by the floods. The race would be postponed because the safety of the runners is a top priority. We cannot risk the runners’ well being as it might also be difficult to travel to UP this Sunday.

Registration is still open for runners wanting to join the Pick UP the Pace. Rest assured that the coming run will be a much better experience.

Thank you for your understanding. Please wait for further announcements.

Registration Fees:
3K – PHP 300.00
5K – PHP 350.00

  1. hmmm sa u.p lang to and i guess yung mga makakasali dito yung mga taga qc or up student and friends nila na mas gusto tumakbo sa malapit at hindi masyado mahal

the best tumakbo sa u.p kahit yung buong 2.2 km lang around the garden mahangin may uphill down hill din so sa mga gusto nang ibang route and medyo nature ang dating okey dito sa run na to

question lang po sa organizer may mga reg din kaya along sunken garden kasi dati may ganun eh like sa pace up and pwde din ba magdala nang dog sa mismong race event,,thanks

  2. nakaka miss tumakbo sa UP… itong-ito yung niruruta ko nung may time pang tumakbo dito… :-)

  3. hindi dahil may big time running events na kasabay e mangungulelat na ang run na ‘to kaya itigil niyo ang sarcastic niyong “good luck” remarks.

  4. Ok to ah.. mas mura compare sa mga kasabayan.. organize by engineering students and mga ka co-engineers.. hehe.. taralets d2..

  5. Talaga? Oo nga no. Organized by engineering students. Naalala ko tuloy yung ” Headstart run” na organized ng College of Engineering nila. Sana naman mas maayos sila this time…

  6. i love the route! buti hindi lang paikot-ikot sa sunken garden!! :) not to mention mura sya.

dun sa mga nagparegister na sa rexona at regent, enjoy nyo na lang mahal nyong run! :)) kasi for sure mag-eenjoy din mga sasali dito sa pick up the pace! :)

GOD BLESS US…
