Two years in, and the 5AM Gang Run Club is still showing up — not just for the miles, but for something far greater than the finish line.
On May 9, 2026, the 5AM Gang marks its 2nd anniversary with the 5AM 5,000M Challenge — a 5KM time trial that gives members the rare opportunity to experience the thrill of racing on a track and field oval. Beyond the stopwatch, the event will also feature inter-branch challenges, as different 5AM Gang communities compete for pride, bragging rights, and the title of top crew.
But true to its roots, the club is keeping things grounded in purpose.
“When we started this club, we wanted to build something bigger than ourselves,” the founders shared. “Now, two years in, we’re proud to see how far we’ve come — and we’re using this moment to continue giving back.”
Powering this milestone celebration are co-presenters adidas and RUNNR, two pillars in the Philippine running scene. Their support helps transform the event from a simple race into a meaningful movement that blends performance with purpose.
This year, the 5AM Gang Run Club is partnering with the Toby’s Youth Sports Foundation, dedicating a portion of the event proceeds to support “Sports for Hope” — a flagship initiative that uses structured sports programs to aid in the rehabilitation and recovery of at-risk youth.
Through these programs, young Filipinos gain more than just athletic skills. They develop discipline, confidence, and a sense of belonging — tools that can positively shape their future both on and off the field.
The 5AM 5,000M Challenge isn’t just about chasing personal bests. It’s about running with intention — knowing that every lap, every stride, and every finish contributes to something bigger than yourself.
Because sometimes, the most meaningful runs aren’t measured by time… but by impact.
