After 2 days, I am still overwhelmed by the outcome of the Pinoy Fitness Run for Change that happened over the weekend (December 16, 2012). Despite several hurdles, start of simbang gabi, lots of Christmas parties and scheduled together with several other races, the event was participated by almost 1,000 participants… WOW!

Despite being busy making sure everything is in order, there where brief moments when I stop and stare just think in awe how this family has grown and evolved to what it is today.

Pinoy Fitness has always been about the people; people who share the same passion; passion for fitness, passion for running, passion for fun, passion for others, and it is this passion that binds us together sa a family, which makes me really proud that I’m part of it.

I personally want to thank this family for showing support for the run; this is the first, and hopefully not the last, and as we continue to grow, we’ll also together support the people who really need it the most.

I want to thank Run for Change for organizing this race for us for free; because of this we are able to raise more funds to support the Run4Change Foundation, and provide opportunities to athletes to further their training, provide for athletic scholarships for chosen individuals and sponsor uniforms, training equipment and provide meal allowances for numerous Varsity Teams from different schools.

I would also like to thank our sponsors, Bonifacio Global City as our venue partner, SMART, Nathan Performance gear for helping us make this race the very first Green (cup-less) Race in BGC, Recreational Outdoor Exchange and Skechers as our registration partners, Strider.ph as our timing sponsor, Soleus and L-TimeStudio for the clocks and the awesome prizes, and also special thanks to Light Water and Runners World.

See you all on the road! And together let us make Running… really more fun in the Philippines!

I still remember back in 2011 after we ran the Philippine International Marathon when the people from Run for Change approached us (we were wearing our PF shirts then) to ask how the could connect with Pinoy Fitness..Kita mo naman ngayon may run event na sila! Truly it has been a long time coming! Congrats on the success of this event! Looking forward to more!
