Race AWARDS:
– For the 1st Run United Philippine Marathon, two sets of winners will be awarded for the 42k category: Foreigner and Filipino participants.

What is the eligibility to win for the 2012 Run United Philippine Marathon?
– 500m dash, 5km, 10km, 21km – will be an Open Category, therefore Filipino and foreign participants are entitled to win.
– While the 42k has 2 winners set – Top 3 Filipino and Top 3 Foreigner
– Trophies, medals and sponsors gift packs will be given to all winners

What are the rules on NATIONALITY?
You are a Filipino if:
– You are born in the Philippines (with valid birth certificate from NSO)
– Both parents are Filipino
– You are a foreigner who has adopted Filipino citizenship via naturalization
* Any participant/ winner who does not qualify under any of the above-mentioned qualification are considered a FOREIGN RUNNER.
* FOREIGN RUNNER who is competing for the top 3 spot for any of the race categories is required to present their passport upon registration for verification otherwise his/ her winnings will be forfeited and the next in line runner will be considered as the winner.

  8. Matagal na akong nagregister online for RUPM and the amount stated for the race, which I paid, is 2,500 pesos. Ano kaya ang contact numbers nila so I can ask for reimbursement nung sobrang binayad ko? 1,300 pesos na lang pala siya kasi.

  9. tama naman sana yung tsismis nagpa survey lang si kulitrunner if ever na 2,500 tapos makukuha eh yung 2XU hand compression… 99.9% yata ang negative kaya hindi nila tinuloy…

  10. @nebski nakapag register ka pala dati ng 2,500 promo daw yata yun 15% yata sa RU1,2,3 at RUPM… post ka na lang po ng concern mo sa FB nila para ma reinburse mo yung 1,200 sayang din yun :-)

  26. @ limitedrunner, re: comment 10, I didn’t avail of any discount. Maaga lang akong nagregister online at BAZU sport. Ganun na nga siguro. I’ll print out the invoice and show Runrio na lang so I can have the price difference reimbursed.

  27. Too bad, i won’t be able to join this race. Why naman nagsabay ang date ng finals with powerade duathlon. I’ve completed the rununited 2012 trilogy, as well as the powerade duathlon series. Unilab could have scheduled it preferably in november since katatapos lang ng RU3 nung sept. 16, to give runners more time to prepare for the FM.

  33. pano to nakasama sa pag buo ng 3 medals? parang nakaloko sila dto ah. nakakuha ka na ng ru1 medal ,ru2, ru3 tapos ganun lng un? pano mabuo un? talagang naloko mga makakabuo nitong 4 na leg.

    actually,hindi sila nakakaloko dahil hindi ka naman pinilit sumali sa race ng unilab..so give yourself a break..dami naman ibang race events dun ka na lang sumali..

  40. Done with registration online for 42k :-) Online registrants can also opt to receive real time updates on their facebook account and to selected mobile numbers of family & friends.

    Im just hoping there will be no issues in racekit delivery :-)

  41. Gusto ko lang po itanong kung bakit nagkaroon ng changes sa design ng medal diba po yung RUPM medal is like a Ring type medal that will hold the RU Trilogy medals?

  42. Nice singlet and finisher shirt. I prefer the 42K fin shirt’s singlet color and design, though I will run on the pikermi (formerly known as half-marathon). The bag is nice as well, and, oh, that humongous medal! ;)

  44. Regarding sa medal dito, pansinin nyo yung RU Trilogy na medals nyo may 4 na magnets yun sa likod. So imagine nyo itong medal dito for 21K & 42K dun nyo ikakabit yung mga medals nyo mara mabuo at nde hiwa-hiwalay. Sayang nga lang @ yung 32K lang ang meron ako.

    Hello Runners! Here is an explanation re: RUPM 42KM CUT-OFF TIME:

    1. RUPM 42KM Gun Start is 3AM
    2. By 8:30AM, Official Race Vehicle will start sweeping RUNNERS beginning from the STARTING LINE at the BGC progressing at slower than normal vehicle running speed to the whole 42km race route until it reaches SM MOA Finish Line/Event Area. At the same time official vehicles will also sweep the cones deployed on the route
    3. The said vehicle that will be used to sweep runners will be on a pace that is expected to make it possible for the RUPM 42km runners to finish the entire route in more or less 7HOURS.
    4. Runners who will not be passed by the official vehicle may continue the race to the finish.

  59. baka hindi na kinaya yung costing ng medal kaya pinalitan. Malaki na yung 3 medals kung pinagsama.

    saktong sakto ang full na ito pang prepare sa milo sa december. Simula ang ang ensayo mga pare !

  61. Sa mga nagrereklamo sa price at patakbo ng Run United..wala po namimilit sa inyo mag register at mag join ng fun run. You can always run in your village. Sa mga salbaheng madadayang bandits sa mga runs na kaibigan din ng mga ibang runners na nag join..konsensya nyo lang ang pang gugulang nyo sa mga race. Kapal muks kayo..bandits na, nakuha pa ng bananas at energy drinks, tigas! Kung may budget sumali, kung wala..just shut up.

  64. the race event name made me expect 21K and 42K only. i was wrong as it includes all the usual RU distance categories.

    i wish there was a 32K for the veteran pikermis but having second thoughts to go full mary. :-D

    actually, set na tong schedule ng RUPM since early this year
    and not to mention may 2 events ioorganize ang RunRio sa Nov..

    Oct 28 – RUPM
    Nov 11 – NB Power run
    Nov 25 – Run BGC
    Dec – Milo National Finals

    if im not mistaken, partly sila rin sa Ensure to Endure on Oct 21 (hula ko lang hehe. kasi yung part 1 mga RR employees karamihan mga marshals nakita ko)

    sa palagay ko u-unat na mga buhok ni coach Rio pag gawin to sa November :)) joke!

    As we officially opened registration today, the fees are now being charged to registrants.

    For those who did not follow the official date, they will be asked to pay for the delivery charges UPON DELIVERY of their race kits (CASH UPON DELIVERY). Otherwise, the courier will not hand to them their race kits.”

  72. “I very much apologize for my over-eagerness to register online. My excitement could not contain me as I look forward to running at a Runrio event again after RU3.

    However, I actually already paid for the P150 processing fee (as compared to RU3’s PhP69.xx – how come it’s now more than double?) when I registered, so you may want to check or track my order. I paid a total of PhP1,050.00, to wit:

    swerte ng mga 21k runners dito, kasing laki din ng sa 42k ang medal, ga-platito! wag na mag dalawang isip sali na!

    Hindi ko na lang pahahabain pa dito. But suffice to say they need to have a different approach in handling customers. Papagalitan ka muna in effect bago sasagutin ang tanong mo. Tapos hihirit pa uli sa huli.

I beg to disagree dun sa official announcement nila since I registered online the morning of September 24 Monday so I followed the instructions sablay pa din ang site nila di naman nagdeclare kung what time ma-up system. So tama lang ako sa dineclare nilang registration dates. Anyway, un admin ng Run RIo Inc sa FB eh very accomodating naman he responded to my message and informed me nga na idedeliver na lang sa hauz ang kit and will pay the courier by then… Pagalitan ba ang runners na gusto magregister agad LOL funny…

    Hi. Pasensiya na po kung na-high blood ka. I just couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being scolded for being overzealous. Hindi ko naman po usually ginagawa ‘to – in fact ngayon lang. Huwag po kayo mag-alala, I got over it just after airing my sentiments here.

    Ine-expect ko lang na meron silang mas magandang paraan para i-communicate ang message nila. Kayo po ba yung nag-reply sa akin on behalf of Runrio?

    Kung bopol po ako, all the more na hindi sila dapat magalit, bagkus dapat mas accommodating sila sa kagaya ko para matulungan ako. Kaya nga po sa kumpanyang dating pinagta-trabahuhan ko, we devise ways for tools to become ‘idiot-proof,’ i.e., kahit mali ang ginawa mo, safe pa rin ang personnel and/or equipment. Kagaya dun sa online system nila, sa tingin ko ay hindi muna dapat ‘live’ ang registration kung nasa testing phase pa lang. Puwede naman nila isolate ang testing.

    So nagkabaligtad pala tayo. Ako nag-register before the official date, pero pasok ang delivery fee. Ikaw naman nag-register on the official date, pero HINDI pasok ang delivery fee. ;)

    yung 32km ng RU3, six weeks bago RUPM… Saktong sakto lang sya kung RUPM ang target mo. Meron mga training programs na 32k lang ang maximum distance.

    Usually mag start na mag taper next week yung mga dapat RUPM.

    So tama pa rin ang scheduling ng RU1 to 3… lahat yon pang support sa RUPM.

    id take it that runners who didn’t participate in the RU series will still get a “whole” medal. there was an initial concern of having a “hole” when it was shown back in Q1

    meron naman sa RU3 though hindi every km. i suspect they opted not to deploy it with the fear of strong winds at the time.

    though it is really appreciated if they will put km markers. iba pa din ung nakikita mo ung progress mo as you run along =)
