Independence Day Run 2012 @ Subic – June 12, 2012

The Independence Day Run 2012 will kick off once again on June 12, 2012 at the Harbor Point, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Subic, Zambales. This Run for a Cause event is organized by Lincoln Lodge No. 34, Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines for the purpose of raising funds for our beneficiary, St. Francis Learning Center-School for the Aetas here in Zambales. The Institution is run by the Franciscan Sisters with the purpose of educating all aeta children from the different tribes in the province. All proceeds will be given to this institution so as to sponsor as many aeta children we could possibly send to school.

  1. I will join this run for a cause! Sana maayos lang ang hydration. Energy drink should also be given along the way not just in the finish line unlike last year na sa ginish line na lang binigay ang energy drink.

  2. To the Organizers! Please answer our querries! Our group (50 members))will not join this run unless you will give us assurance with our concerns!

  3. bakit limited ang Run Singlet, ibig sabihin ba nito nde lahat na mag reregister makakakuha ng singlet? mataas ang registration fee, may timing chip ba ito? may finisher medal? may finisher tshirt? may mga free goodies ba ito after finishing this event? ano meron sa hydration station tubig or energy drink? wala bang race map? nagtatanong lang po kasi mukhang nde ganon ka detalyado ang independence run nyo, parang bang ibig sabihin “bahala na kau during your run”.

  8. This is a run for a cause..raising funds for the beneficiary, St. Francis Learning Center-School for the Aetas in Zambales..i am joing the run not for what i am getting back (i.e. a healthy morning run) but for what i am giving to the beneficiary..
    why are you joing any fun runs anyway?
    .. dahil sa singlet? dahil sa give aways?? bakit ba my fun runs? if you don’t support the advocacy don’t join rather than back slashing the organizers..
    .. again if you want you whims answered.. call the organizer pra msagot ka..or rather go to the registration centers dun i’m pretty sure they will attend to your concerns..

  10. Last year I join this run, from Subic bay boardwalk to new container terminal road (21km route) then back.

    The route is nice and the hydration areas are strategically located. And, the SBMA Fire and Law Enforcement department was there to assist the runners’ safety.

    Being a local of Subic Bay Freeport, I and the Runners After Work, will definitely join this run to support the Lincoln Lodge and in preparation for RU 2 @ BGC/MOA

    to the organizer: kindly post the race route though we heard some information that the starting line will be at Ayala Harbor Point and the tuning point at Dungaree Beach. For the benefit of the runners – will you kindly post the race route. Thanks

  13. this is independence day run so dapat all pilipino lang dahil sa title pa lang wag u sana pasalihin mga kenya na walang ginawa dito sa atin pera lang ang habol

    @Jojo: last yr intentionally walang pinasaling mga Kenyan runners. But there were other nationalities such as Koreans, Americans, Indians and Europeans who joined the event last yr who are resident in SBMA and Olongapo. But still Filipino p rin ang nanalo except in the female category, 21K, na Korean ang nanalo…

  16. ..@yajme – i agree.. i was born and raised in olongapo and sbfz area so supporting this advocacy is close to my heart..helping the indigenous community of zambales is priceless..
