Will definitely run and represent the Dream Green team if time permits!

  7. Hi, hope you can let us know the race route for the 10k?Is it going to be inside the campus? Please confirm if i can deposit payment to the BDO? thanks!

  8. I just got a text from the organizer. They said there will be on-site registrations but the singlets won’t be guaranteed and the regular registrations will be until feb 17 at Matteo first floor.

  9. The hydration for 10k was not sufficient sana there are 2 hydration stations for 10k route and sana may water station but sure enough we enjoyed the run! Hope to see pictures of the event soon!

  10. the worst fun run ive joined. haha.

sir jun fukuro advised me through sms na if we registered online, we will be assured of a singlet on the race day. maaga na kami nakarating dun, naubusan pa kami. to think that hindi naman ganun kadami ang mga runners.

wala akong nakitang kahit isang portion ng program nyo na organized. i appreciate ung energy ng mga nagchi-cheer sa mga runners, pero it is still not enough.

natatawa na lang ako when i think of this run. sana sa iba na lang ako sumali.

  11. To the last commenter, first of all give the organizers a break. They are college students that made a worthy and somewhat successful attempt at doing one of these things where bigger companies have failed to deliver the goods given the skyrocketing prices of these runs

    Some notable examples for you:

    1. Nike We Run Manila USB finisher item – arrived close to 3 months after the run itself. People were ready to boycott anything and everything Nike for this and this does not count the rather horrible reviews on their baggage claim counter.

    2. National Geographic Run 2011 – due to the sheer number of people that joined this they handed out the 3 and 5k jerseys to those that were running the 10 and 21k. I would not mind this except that I paid more in the 10k and will expect more.

    3. Energizer Night Race – I registered online to find out that I made a trip to a site that did not have the singlet in my size. You would think that these things would be more organized instead of telling people to go out of their way, and lose time, to places where they can get a singlet in the right size

Read the other runs and there will always be people that will find something to say about how bad things were set-up. I did not get a singlet either but ask yourself this, how often will you wear it? You into collecting from each race? I would rather have a picture or something to that effect.

Laugh all you want about how lousy this was. I give credit to these students as they learned something valuable in terms of how to organize and hopefully do better. The mere fact people showed up despite the small number was an achievement in itself.

  12. I agree with JVV!

Kasi if you are really a runner this is really not the type of event na kailangan mong salihan.

Pero kung paniniwalaan mo yung mga advocacies ng mga organizers at alam mong may patutunguhan syempre sa sarili mo nakatulong ka.Dun pa lang masaya ka na din dapat.

    Kudos sa mga organizers!

  13. i didnt say anything about not being happy about the advocacy…. kaya nga sumali ako, because there was a cause for this run. if people paid to support the event and the cause, sana naman the organizers should have thought how they can give something back to please these people.

if sanang naging honest sakin si sir jun, sana hindi na ko nagexpect na may singlet ako pagdating dun. so i could have prepared an extra shirt na gagamitin after nung run.

i was expecting na with someone from this school, i was hoping na they have everything thought of. yung pagbibigay pa lang ng certificates, magulo. i didnt even know kung saan ung starting line, kasi ung “starting point” na poster nila isang coupon bond lang na nasa sulok. ok lang if they cannot afford to set up ung malaking “start line” na banner, pero sana they would have thought of another (effective) way to let the runners know kung saan ung line. kasi hindi naman lahat galing sa school na yun para alam ang pasikot sikot sa campus.

sa sidewalk na nga lang tumatakbo ung mga runners eh, kasi hindi controlled ung traffic, hindi nasabihan ang mga drivers na may ongoing fun run, wlang nagbabantay mashado sa race route. what if there were 2000 people who signed up? pano na lang un.

  14. i couldnt agree more with Anonymous. well said po sir/maam.
to Drei, what do you mean po when you said “if you really are a runner you wouldnt join this type of event”? I have joined other smaller funruns and they were organized. it all boils down to the organizer not the runner po.
as Anonymous said, sana naging honest lang si mr. jun, i wouldnt have expected from them..anyway, i hope this race will help the ateneo environmental science society do a better job next time.
