The Access 2020, Race to Success is a racing event in which ten teams of five, race around the metropolis against other teams, with each team shall have one person with disability who is physically fit to join the game.

The race is inviting Teams from private corporations, companies or government agencies. The game is spearheaded by Tahanang Walang Hagdanan as one of its advocacy project in partnership with government agencies and other NGOs to realize mainstreaming of Persons with Disability (PWD) and at the same time a dry run on the compliance of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability (UNCRPD). The game will evolve around raising awareness on mainstreaming of PWD, health, society, accessible tourism, and healthy environment.

The game will initially take place in the metropolis where most of PWD are engaged in different activities and where most of the city parks, recreational areas, business establishments, transport system, and offices have already complied with BP 344 known as “Accessibility Law”. After piloting in Metro Manila, the activity will be replicated in other nearby provinces and tourist spots to continue raising awareness on the rights of persons with disability and promote accessible tourism.

  3. @Alfie Gillego

Good day. May takbo rin ba ito Sir? Sir,bakit sa mismong SM Fairview wala tayong registration site during Oct. 1 to Nov. 30?

  4. @pidelcarmen

  5. @Maricel Candole

Mam, no singlet? But it was mentioned above:

    Registration Fees:
    PHP 200 with one Jersey

    Anu po ibig sabihin nun?

  6. @pidelcarmen – Just for clarification po. The WRR fun run shall not provide you singlet/s like what the regular fun runs would give. We shall give you T-shirt together with certificate of participation, the race or course map and race bib or racer identification.

We already have 2 registration sites at SM City Fairview and on December 3, we would start entertaining walk-in registrants as early as 5:30 am.

We hope to see you there!!!

  7. i was informed before na P200 ang registration fee for students and P250 for adults… ganun pa rin po ba ngayon?

to others who are interested, t-shirt po at hindi singlet na dri-fit ang kasama nung race kit…

    it’s clearly for a cause! let’s go everyone! =)

  8. Started very, very, very late. I was very, very disappointed about the time started. 6am is the scheduled gun start but started at 8pm. 2 hours late.

  9. nawala excitement ko kanina, nakakatamad na tuloy tumakbo. im am very disappointed. kulang sa preparation, kulang sa water station at nagutom na sa kakaantay ng gun start.
