The 23rd Yakult 10 MILER originaly scheduled for March 4, 2012 has been moved to April 1, 2012 at the same venue at the Vicente Sotto St. at the CCP. This was announced by organizers in response to numerous requests from those who have also registered to run another race on the same date.
With this development, the start of registration has been moved to Friday, February 10, 2012 at the following Mizuno Store outlets: 2nd level Trinoma Mall; SM Megamall – Bldg. A, Upper Ground in front of event center; 3rd Level Festival Mall in Alabang, and at Bldg. B3 BGC at Bonifacio High Street. Store hours at Mizuno Trinoma, SM Megamall and Festival Mall is from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. while the Mizuno Store at the Bonifacio High Street is open 11:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The event is expected to attract a lot of runners including some of the country ‘s national athletes. Akira Onose, Yakult Phils., Inc. Executive Vice President , and Michael Ong, Manager sales and planning department, jointly announced at the contract signing with race organizer Rudy Biscocho that this year’s Yakult 10 Miler will be timed by MyLaps Bibtag System.

@RUNNER – me balita kung kelan magbubukas yung reg sa Mizuno???, nakalagay kasi sa poster Feb 7 start sa mga 3 MIzuno branch, nagpunta ako sa Mizuno BGC kanina…. di din alam kung kelan yung start ng reg ng taga-Mizuno…. medyo misleading naman kasi yung nasa poster…..

mukhang magpapangabot ang 21k, 10k runners ng RunUnited sa runners ng yakult.. run united already release their race map for that category.
hope you can release the 16k race map too for this event..
this is a run with reasonable registration fee (although nagtaas na rin sila as compared to last year’s run. Hope there will be more runs with fees like this one (or even lower) so other pinoy runners can join esp those who can’t join runs with higher reg fees

last year tatakbo sana ako dito kaso may kasabay, tapos ngayon taon may kasabay pa din? sana next year wla nang kasabay.
I also went to Mizuno SM Megamall last night to register supposedly. It seems like the start of registration is still a secret.

Though yet to be announced… I got an info from a reliable source that this years Yakult 10 miler will be rescheduled to April 1, 2012… let us wait for the official announcement… :)
@Cesium – kahapon nga sa BGC-Mizuno, parang natulala ng 3 seconds yung taga Mizuno nung nagtanong ako kung start na yung registration, sabay sabi “Wala pang sinasabi sir, kung kelan start”…
@Rororunner – actually pre, dito ko gusto tumakbo sa Yakult kaso ang labo ng registration e…… sana next time bago sila maglagay sa poster sigurado na yung registration date………

@beyond_summits, that would be great kung ma move siya ng April 1 to attract more runners. mahirap kasi siyang isabay sa isang malaking event hindi siya makakahatak ng runners.
April 1 wala siya kasabay tapos mahaba-haba pa ang preparations nila para magkaron or maka-bargain sila ng medals for all 16k finishers then 1st 100 finishers both 3k and 5k. watcha think guys?!
pinag-uusapan pa daw po ng management ng YAKULT kung san gaganapin ang event… Ang huling balita yung first 3000 registrants sa HIROSHIMA JAPAN tatakbo… hehehehehe
Mr. Organizer kawawa naman yung mga nagbayad ng parking… sayang naman yung panahon na naaksaya…
Ang mahal ng parking fee… imbes na ipambili ng energy bar…food spplements at beauty product…. naksss hehehehe
baka pwede i post yung sample ng finisher shirt, ok lang kung mag additional ng fee php50 para sa medal……
To the organizers, hope you can advise asap and with finality the start of registration so we can plan accordingly. We prefer to plan ahead of time how we will allocate our resources (money, time, effort). It will be a big help to us if the final race date, registration duration can be announced asap. Thanks much!
