    • Same here. Sabi sa online reg ko – your email is not valid for this event. Waaah. Then pagtawag mo sa number na pinapatawagan for assistance, busy ng busy. Sabi ng isang number – your call is blocked by this number.

    • bat ganun… sabi nila prepaid cards lang… kung alam ko lang makukuha na ang race kit di sana nagregister na ko… haist… nakatipid sana ng 200 pesos na delivery fee sa on line…

  1. negosyo din kasi to. usually kasi yung tumatakbo ng long distance ngayon e ang habol lang finisher shirt at medal kaya kahit lakadin lang nila ok lang wala namang time limit e. hehe. pero kung lagyan nila yan ng time limit at me consequences sigurado konti lang sasali jan pero wala din naman kita ang organizers..

  2. Registered 42k. This is going to be my first full marathon ” “. Any tips and advice mga sir/mam. My target time is 5 hours since it is my first FM. Im excited, may 1 1/2 months training pa left for me hindi na pwede ang 5k run every sunday kelangan magdagdag na ng mileage……see you all guys there.

    • Agree na fail. 5k run then every Sunday lang? Google marathon training plans online and most of them are good for 4-6 months. You need to run at least 4x a week with 5-6miles on weekdays, and as much as 10miles on weekend, either Saturday or Sunday. Then cross training on alternate days.

      I have no doubt that you can finish it but not within your target time na 5 hours. I’ve seen people with more training than you indicated here and nakapag-full mary na sila before. Mabibilis sila pero sa full mary, hindi sila nag-sub-5. Sub-6. So be realistic. And even if walang event na inaabangan, any long-distance runner would train regularly for more than 5kms.

      Sabi nga nila, “Respect the distance”.

    • Try to run 3x10k every weekdays then 20k during sat and sunday, pag pasok ng September try to increase 12 to 15k yung weekdays mo then yung weekends mo 25 to 35k.. yung last sat at sunday ng September mag 20k na lang then wala ng run ng weekdays focus ka na lang sa exercise like, burpees, push up, squat planking etc.. focus on your core… See you sa RUPM

      • 5k / week ang mileage tapos biglang i-akyat ng 50-70km / week. Delikado ito sir. Baka injury lang ang kalalagpakan.

  3. Bangayan na naman…Yong mga importanteng issues dito sa Run na ito ay nawawala na dahils asagutan ng mga magagaling….Pwede ba tigilan na yan!!!!

    • hi frank, ask ko lang kung received mo na ung race kit mo? nag-register din ako same date 15 aug, but 1sept na ngayon wala pa akong natatanggap. Ang register periiod nila for 4 august to 24 august – race kit delivery date ay on or before 31 august.

      Kanino kaya pede mag-inquire. :-(

  4. May plantar fascitis ako kaya wapakels ako if makita ako maglakad hihi
    Nagka knee effusion na rin ako before ru2 kaya ano naman if maglakad. Only shows i have trained hard. Pero pasok sa banga ang cutoff

  5. But the legendary gold medalist Frank Shorter says the criticisms of slow runners are “snobbery.” “You never hear that from elite runners,” he told me. “Elite runners admire other people’s performance. I find it much better to welcome slow runners to the club than to vote them out.”

    Greg Meyer, who in 1983 was the last American man to win the Boston Marathon, says that when he hears such complaints from average marathoners, he replies, “If it wasn’t for the run-walkers, you wouldn’t be finishing in front of anybody.”

  6. i would have liked this forum to be a venue for the betterment of current and future races so that new (and even old runners) will respect and have etiquette on the road. not a bashing venue of walkers or slow runners. i am not directing this to any specific person and i just hope that people who will read this will find time to correct their behaviors in the future races.

    1. when you spit, pls try to look first behind you if someone is there. as much as possible spit on the roadside and not on the center where other runners behind you would step on your mucus. same goes when flushing out the fluids from your nose. pls say “excuse me”

    2. at the start where the formation of the runners are still compact fresh from the starting pen, pls say “passing through” if you want to overtake others. dont just bump them and run away. pls dont do that because race veterans will know that that is an attitude of a newbie and that in the middle of the race, you’re definitely one of those guys limping and lining up for that medicated menthol spray.

    3. just like when you’re driving your car, you use the left & right hand signals when changing lanes. do the same in the race. just raise either your left or right hand if you want to change lanes. it’s very frustrating when people just swerve in front of you that makes you stop abruptly & crumbles your momentum. if this happens, kindly say sorry to the runner & not just look at him blankly.

    4. this one i hate the most. you are doing your normal pace on the 15th kilometer then somebody overtakes you and swerves in front of your lane. ok lang sana kung mabilis yung pace niya sayo eh kaso biglang babagal siya. i find this very rude among all behaviors of runners. at the 15th kilometer, the distance of the runners are quite dispersed compared to the first 10k. why in the hell would you squeeze yourself into my lane when the road is so wide. you can overtake that’s fine but stay on your imaginary lane.

    5. just like in the expressway, if you’re a slow driver, keep away from the inner lane (the lane next to the island). stay on the outer lane if you drive slow because the inner lane is meant for overtaking. there was one who mentioned earlier about 4-5 people walking side by side and taking selfies. that’s true coz i’ve seen a number of that. that’s really inconsiderate. if you think you cant run as fast as the others do, kindly stay away from the fast lane. thanks.

    6. after drinking from the hydration station, pls throw your spent drinking cups properly into the rubbish bins. i have joined an overseas running event and if you happen to experience it, ang masasabi mo is ang dungis ng mga pinoy. sa ibang bansa, after drinking, tinatapon nila ng husto sa basurahan ang mga cups at hindi sa daan.

    7. when the marshalls smile at you and say good morning, do the same to the them. reciprocate the gesture.

    8. after passing by a photographer who painstakingly took a picture of you to make your run memorable, pls say thank you.

    9. don’t just stop abruptly. make a hand sign that you’re stopping so that the runner at the back will be prompted in advance that you’re stopping. this will prevent crashes/injury among runners.

    10. when you finish the race, thank God that you’re still alive and kicking.

    hope we could all be good, nice, and considerate runners to everyone.

  7. toby’s moa registration update today…12:45nn me nakapila and at exactly 6:05pm ay at last registered na me for 21k…mas matagal pa ang registration kesa actual na pagtakbo….

  8. Just got registered… at toby’s moa.. sa iba na mga sumingit sa toby’s moa para makapag reg lng mahiya naman kayo sa mga pumila ng matagal… lalo na sa mga pumunta ng maaga at pipila ng 4 na oras. para makapag reg lng.. .

  10. I had been an active runner and forum participants since 2008 but nothing changed after 6 years. running wannabes mutate whereas forum prophets proliferate!

  11. WALKER pa rin ang topic? Anak ng…. Kahit saan ata ako magpunta puro yan ang nababasa ko.

    Pare-pareho lang kayo nagbayad ng registration fee. Kaya kung ano man gusto niyo/nila gawin sa race, buhay niyo/nila yun. Kung ayaw niyo tumakbo, edi maglakad kayo. Kung ayaw niyo naman masabihan ng “walker”, edi tumakbo kayo! Kahit ba may gumapang sa gitna ng kalsada, ano bang pakialam ko duon? Malalaki na kayo kaya kung ano man trip niyo sa buhay, bahala kayo sa buhay niyo.

    Sa mga tumatakbo, huwag niyo na pilitin tumakbo ang taong ayaw kasi katawan naman nila yun, kaya tigilan niyo na panglalait sa mga naglalakad. Gagaling din yang mga yan. Hindi niyo naman binayaran ang registration fee ng mga yan kaya manahimik na lang kayo. Dumaan tayong lahat diyan. Bago sila kaya sa running dapat tayo ang unang umuunawa sa kanila.

    Sa mga naglalakad, wag na kayo pumatol sa mga sinasabi ng iba. Baligtarin niyo man ang mundo, hindi niyo mababago ang katotohanan na mabagal kayo at mabilis sila. Challenge na lang yan sa inyo para patunayan na mali sila. Masakit masabihan ng “walker”, UNFAIR pakinggan pero TOTOO. Kung ayaw niyo na ganyan na lang ang kaya niyo, konting pursige pa.

    Sa admins, sana may mag moderate sa mga ganitong topic. Dapat mag intervene na kayo kapag puro ganito ang laman ng mga race updates niyo.

    No fighting please. And let’s not drag the issue of walkers any longer. We believe that everyone started somewhere, and everyone started slow, and races like Run United supports those runners who are “starting out”.

    For our community to grow, there should be races where newbie runners can thrive and continue to love the sport, we are all newbies once, and it was races like these that kept us training to run faster.

    What we want to point out is that, it’s really never an issue about walkers or runners, we think the real issue is about proper running etiquette, specially in large events such as this. There is a need to educate both, slow or fast runners on what to do during such races.

    Again, our stand here in Pinoy Fitness is to promote fitness and health, walking and running is all the same as long as you strive to better yourself. Rather then bashing one other, we suggest working on a common solution on how to create an environment where runners (fast or slow) can support each other.

    We hope to see some improvements on the discussions here. Thank you everyone for the continued support.

  14. It is clearly written above that the race kit will include three (3) pieces of Enervon Activ but the 42.195-kilometer race kit received recently contained only two (2) pieces of the multivitamin.

  15. Saan pa po ba makakabili ng 21K prepaid? Inabutan ng cut-off sa MoA last friday then 2 slots nalang available sa BGC…need sana 4 slots for me and my friends.

  19. Think this problem with the fast runners and casual runners, should be addressed by the organizers:
    for example: condura skyway marathon organizer is requiring runners to enter their target time to finish in the registration, i think this is to group runners with the same pace and release them in one wave. Medyo ma trabaho lang sa organizers, but if they make this happen, the fast runners will have the road all for themselves while casual runners can also enjoy their run, with matching selfie and hhww…

  20. Guys ask ko lng sa inyo..sa mga nag online reg po mula aug 4-14,nrecve nyo po ba mga race kit nyo?,..at isa pa po nung nag online reg kau may nkalagay po ba sa ragistration kung natapos na RU1 and Ru2?,..pls reply any one…tnx and God bless to all…

    • Mine not yet, registered last Aug 5… Still more than a month before the event and so far never had any problem sa race kit whether in store or delivery.
      Parang wala nakalagay sa registration, though sa RU2 lang ako…

  24. This will be my first 21k ever and as with my previous runs,i always give consideration to runners running at faster pace. I think that is all we need to do, just be sensitive to other runners. Remember that there are more than a hundred runners behind you..dapat lang alam mo kung saan ka dapat pumuwesto kung alam mong mabagal ka kesa sa kanila. Just use common sense..

    I just want to make it clear lang po.. 4 po kaming tatakbo dito sa RUPM, we have the same delivery adress.. Per runner po ba ang charging ng delivery fee?

    • Naku dude. Per runner ang charging nyan regardless kung same kayo ng delivery address. Sana nga baguhin ni Rio yung system na ganyan para naman makatipid tipid tayong mga Entrants. :)

  28. I have a question which is way off topic.. open na ba ang camp aguinaldo for civilian jogger/runners? cause for a while they didn’t allow any runners after that balikatan agreement went down.. Para makapag train doon for this runner.. :)

  29. naisip ko lang, sana kung hindi ganito ka gulo ang forum na ito, baka sakali ang mga magagaling nating mananakbo ay makisali pa dito at magbibigay pa ng tips dito sa forum nato kung paano mo ma-improve ang performance sa pagtakbo (a training plan and nutrition tips perhaps). may mapupulot pa tayong aral. mga kagaya ni eduardo buenavista, rene desuyo, irineo raquin, mary joy tabal, or margaret njuguna. they are COMPETITIVE atheletes who pound 150 kilometers a week for their practice alone. mind you, isang buwan ko na na takbo yun kung hindi maulan ang panahon. pero kung hindi naman tayo nakaka 150 kms/wk at wala naman tayong magandang sasabihin, sana tumahimik nalang tayo kasi kahit ano pa ang sabihin natin, we ALL still belong to the category of RECREATIONAL runners which makes makes us no different from the walkers or slow runners, only a bit better.

    paano kaya gawing kaaya-aya ang forum na ito? may pag-asa pa kaya para sumali sa discussion dito ang mga TUNAY talaga na mga magagaling?

    lahat sana tayo makikinabang sa experience nila.

    let’s all ponder on that.

  30. Agree po ako na dapat mag training ang mga lalahok sa full and half mary.

    Pero dapat din tayo mag training ng respeto sa kapwa lalo na sa mga newbies pa lang kc mukhang ang iba satin nakakalimot nang lumingon sa pinanggalingan.

    Kinakalwang na respeto natin mga tol, kaya praktis praktis din pag may time.
