  1. @everestrunner, hindi ako masyadong familiar sa ayala alabang area, sa cavite side ako nanggagaling about 4km from sm molino, then from molino road deretcho ako ng daanghari, after southvale(seaside) then back sa molino road. balak kong isama sa route ko ung portifino south area sa may petron , alam ko yon ang daang reyna. mga ilang km kaya yon lahat? ty sa reply.

  2. @olan: wow, puspusan na ang ensayo mo for 32k ah…takbo ako ng 21k for this, at pilit kong isasama ang asawa ko para may magbuhat sa akin pagmagco-collapse na ako..hahaha :D

  3. @sportyspice,mag buo ka ng support group mo lead by ur hubby,si yaya (taga dala ng cheque),pt at nurse, segurado ako mag survive ka…hahaha…ako practice lng pag hnd kaya 32k,di mag 42 sa oct.

  4. @sportyspice, kailangan mo ng regular practice, mahirap din kung weekend warrior k lang (practice tuwing weekend), so train hard, alam ko kaya mo yan (milo slogan),first 21k ko ung milo last dec. way off ang tym ko sa cut off, kaya sabi ko sarili ko mag practice ako ng maiigi para makuha ko ang medal, den comes milo again last month, nakuha ko na medal, alam mo kung ano official tym ko 2:29:32, but ang chips tym ko is 2:20:18 dahil late start ako kakahanap ng parking space sa moa.

    @ sportyspice – anu kelan tayo reg ng 21k? go go go, kaya natin yan, nasa isip lang yun na hindi, kaya, matagal pa naman kaya may time pa mag train, and since wala akong takbo dis august dahil namove ung 711. txt mo ko pag magreg kana…

  8. @angelo – bakit naman naging legally bandit ka? may ganun pala? haha diba sabi mo may magssponsor sa’yo dito? sarap sumali dito… pero at this moment wala pang takbo/jogging after milo marathon… :-)

    sabi kasi pag di ka nagregister tapos tumakbo ka sa ruta ng isang event, bandit ka :), eh di naman ako mag reg. .may substitute runner lang ako. . kaya bandit lang ako pero legal since my bib :P

    Di ko alam yung Seaside Rock.

    Pero pag natakbo ako from Salawag/Avida Settings-Molino papuntang Daang Hari hanggang Ayala Southvale, 10.5km na yun. So pagbalik ko, nakatakbo na ako ng half-mary. Hindi ko pa na-try sa Daang Reyna.

  11. @angel.d.saint…thank you sa reply,na trace ko sa mapmyrun yung route:
    from molino road papuntang daang hari hanggang southvalle then back sa petron(daang hari)then pasok sa daang reyna balik ng petron then back to molino road is 20.54km, 3km from molino road ako nanggagaling masyadong maraming sasakyan kaya iniiwasan ko, kya ang gusto ko sa daang hari lang at sinama ko ang daang reyna para humaba, subukan mo ang daang reyna maganda ang daan isang loop balik sa petron is 5km. pag kaya ko na ung route, mag adjust nalang ako papuntang madrigal sa alabang. magkita nalang tayo sa daan every weekeng (kung kaya ko hehe) again ty sa tulong at gudlak sa mga future run mo.

    Sige susubukan ko ang Daang Reyna. Usually long run ako sa weekends (Sat or Sun).

    Yan din ang balak ko: habaan ang takbo papuntang Madrigal Business Park. Diyan madalas ang fun run pag Filinvest ang location. Yung iba dun na rin nagba-biking.

    Kung sakali, makikilala mo ko na palagi naka-white Zoot headcap at all-Nike gear with supports on both (damaged) knees. =)

  14. ang start ay sa bgc tapos finish line sa moa . paano nga pala ang may mga sasakyan ? katulad pa rin ba eto ng ru1 and ru2 na etatransport tayo by bus papunta ng bgc ?

    every weekend din ang long run ko, mga 5am nasa daang hari area ako from molino side, how i wish i could invite you to join me, kaso baka mahila lang kita, kc wellness runner lang ako, im not afte pr, alam mo na, iba na ang tumatanda. haha… see you when i see you sabi mo nga,. hindi imposible kc taga cavite tayo.

    Hope we cross each other’s path – kahit pauwi ka na, papunta pa lang ako. I used to run early, pero ngayon medyo late na. =)

    Wellness runner din ako, albeit a bit of a competitive one. Di ako sasali kung alam kong mabagal o makukulelat ako sa particular na event that I joined for. So I started at 10K and went up the ladder through proper diet and training.

    I just started running this year after I reached the “life begins anew” phase last year. So probably hindi tayo nagkakalayo sa edad! ;p

    Basta may white cap at dalawang black knee support or patella brace – AKO na yun! ;D

  21. Suicide? Hindi naman. Pero mas okay pa din yung gradual. I started running this May ang and 21k agad. No past experience in running, no training, i dont even do joggings. Napasabak lang talaga sa 21k to test my self. Sinubukan ko lang kung kaya ko. Ready naman akong mag stop kapag di na talaga kaya ng katawan ko. But I finished that run at 3:05. After nun, sobrang sakit ng katawan ko i cant even step into sidewalks. It took 3 days para mawala yung sakit. I dont even know about yung P.R.I.C.E. method. Hahaha. I was a fool back then. Pero now, i am regularly do joggings at least 2 times a week. Last June ran again 21k and finished in 2:48. Last Milo, I ran 21k again and finished in 2:42 so walang medal. Hahaha. If you think you can do it. Do it. Do your best. You wont know naman kung kaya mo or hindi without trying. Basta listen to your body. Stop when you know na hindi na talaga kaya :D

  23. @sportyspice, naisahan mo nmn ako, mabilis kang mag punch line hehehe, hindi mo ba iconsider ung lsd ng pf this aug 19, magandang practice yon for 16k at 20k, mamimili kapa ng pace na gusto mo at mameet mo more more friends para sa binubuo mong support group. hehehe

    Mag-train run ka ng 21k or more. Malalaman mo kaagad kung kaya mo. =)

    Yan ang ginawa ko when training for the Regent Run 16K (just my 2nd after Springboard Run). I tried my first half-mary run. I knew I could beat the 2:30 time I set for myself. I was set on pace to do just that – at 32min/5km – until at KM14 the dreaded bloody red nip started to hurt, and at KM15 cramps started to creep in on my left calf. Not wanting to get any serious injuries, I decided to stop and settled into walking the last 6KM on my way home. I finished at about 2:46; 2:12 – 2:15 had I suffered no pain and continued running.

    Isipin mo na lang na hindi suicide mission, kundi brave ka lang to face the challenge. Basta may proper training at food/hydration lang ha. =)

  25. @olan: actually pinagiisipan ko nga yun… pero baka sa labas ng bahay nalang muna ako tumakbo this weekend at marami ding family obligations na kelangang gampanan. :)

  29. for the first timers, it’s good to have practice runs to avoid injuries. kahit indoor practices sa gym for 1:30 to 2:30 hours 3x/wk para sa 32K lalo na tag-ulan ngayon.

  30. @ sportyspice – kayang kaya yan, dala ka madameng saging ah, hahaha, may gu gel naman atang binibigay before the gunstart. first time ko rin mag 21k, and first time tumakbo sa event ng RU. Hope all will be well. Magregister ako by Friday. :)

    Tanong ko na lang din sa mga nagreg onsite, nakuha nyo na ba agad ung sunvisor na sinasabeng kasama ng race kit? Thanks.

    tama po sabi nya. . wag ka rin mag rely sa patay kung patay na stilo :P

    may namamatay po talaga sa running. . .may time pa para mag mind set at magtraining. .

    good luck sa mga first timer :) kita kits sa starting line AT sa finish line. .

  34. @angelo – pamosong pamoso ngayon ang katagang “buwis buhay” at “patay kung patay” mairaos lang ang haba ng distansya… kaya tamang-tama yung payo mo… maghinay-hinay po tayo baka magkatutuo po yang mga katagang iyan…imbes ng nakakaganda sa katawan ang pagtakbo eh makasama sa iba.. darating din ang tamang pagkakataon at wag subukan ang hindi talagang nararapat pa… regards sa lahat :)

  39. Agree with @angelo@comment261: may sapat pang panahon para mag training ng maigi upang maihanda ang katawan sa pag takbo sa nalalapit na ru3. remember milo elimination 2011 at ang just concluded cobra tri sa cebu.

  40. guys ung gustong mag training for ru3, iconsider nyo yung LSD ng pf sa aug 19, maganda at masaya cgurado, makakapamili kapa kung anong pace ang gusto mong takbo, kaya join kyo!!!

  46. tamad ako mag practice run kahit 5k. i get bored easily… natry ko once, may nakasabay akong pretty girl. tried to keep the same pace as her’s, even took the same walk breaks. alam ko na alam nya na i’m tailing her. good thing she was friendly enough to open up a conversation. ayun! naka-abot siguro ako ng 12k. sadly for me, may baby na sya… haha! wala lang, sana may makasabay ulit ako =P i’m preparing for 32k sub 3… recreational runner lang po ako so pls pardon my pace…

  48. @lonrunner: good day to you! from Tunasan po ako … Madalas din kami sa Daang Hari every weekend. Magandang route yung sa may PureGold San Pedro-Alaska paakyat ng Victoria then all the way down to Daang Reyna then Daang Hari. Medyo marami nga lang uphill sa Victoria. Na try mo na bang tumakbo sa lugar na yun?

  51. @everestrunner, @A: naka full marathon na ba kayo? ako im just training for half mary or 32k, kaya, stick lang ako sa plan route ko w/c is molino, daanghari, daangreyna at mag adjust nalang pa alabang or molino blvd for more distance.

  53. @A: Hey, thanks for the response… Di pa po ako tumakbo sa Daang Hari… never tried, kaya po ako naghahanap ng kasama. Mukhang masarap kasi tumakbo dun for training. Most of my training is within our village. Gusto ko new ground for training kaya po ako naghahanap ng kasabay.

    @EverestRunner: Hey, good to hear u got regular training. Anyway, might try na lang tumakbo this weekend dun. Might see you on the road… Concern ko lang kasi I am alone (as my name goes) kaya medyo takot ako run ng mag isa sa area. Which 5am medyo madilim pa…

  54. looking for people running in Marikina… training for RU3…. recreational runner din ako.. wala rin akong praktis… weekend runner kasi walang oras to train… saturday at sunday lang ako tumatakbo

  55. @lonerunner: hindi ko pa rin na mmeet in person si angel.d.saint pero sa tingin ko sa molino side sya nanggagaling, magandang tumakbo sa daang hari at daang reyna, wala kang dapat ipag-alala maski 4am, mga 6am madami ng tao ka nang masasalubong, ang buong stretch ng daang reyna ang talagang maraming runner at biker may portalet pa sa area.

  56. @lonerunner: salubong nalang tayo sa daan, mag start ako ng 5am sa molino, nasa left side ako ng road and im wearing reflective (light green) singlet. see you on saturday…

  58. @Olan: it was indeed a great experienced… Basta maintain ko lang un pace ko kahit medyo madami lumalampas sa akin… my goal is to finish the race injury free… my official time is 4:45 (ranked 485). Alam ko kaya mo din ang FM, with determination and dedication that you have during training, anything is possible. PUSO+PAWIS lang yan pre… GOD bless and run safe!
