    di naman siguro :). . nag start ako training last week ng june :P

    ang target goal na binigay kasi sa akin, ay matapos ng maaga para di maubusan ng tamang size for fin shirt lol . . yun ang instruction sa akin wahaha saya saya nito. . may 3rd 32k (wag sanang maudlot) =)

    Barely two months from now… so medyo matagal pa… I still join other run events before RU3 and I consider that as a training. Ikaw ba wala ng ibang run prior to RU3?

    Good job to beat your previous PR… tama ka nagkakaubusan daw ng finishers shirt… So far, tamang size pa naman naaabutan ko after the finish line. :)

  5. am a little bit worry, never been on a 32K run, but what worries me more is the 36th MILO marathon elimination, how i wish that RU3 would come 1st so that i’ll have a step-by-step level-up, but sad to say it’s not…. bahala na si Batman neto… GOOD LUCK; ALL THE BEST to all RUNNERS!

    • run after school and long runs on weekends :) okay na i think ung 2-4 times a week. basta wag tatamarin. student din and gabi na ang uwian. haha hope this helps :)

  11. Nakakatakot naman yung 32 km. Sana kayanin ko, hahaha… Mas mahal yata to sa 900. Sa natatandaan ko, 1200 yata… Ewan ko lang…

    • @khalbz, may FM sa Renderfarm Itogon Challenge this coming Sept. 9, bka gusto nyo magjoin dito. 80% ay uphill, very nice, new and challenging race route po ito..

  12. I am looking for a group that I can run with for 32k. It is my 1st time to join this category. I started joining running events since 2010 and be able to finish 9 half marathons. My PR’s 5K – 27:30, 10K – 54:49, and 21k – 1:53.

  13. @1st timer: bruder you run fast hindi ka pwedeng sumabay sa akin kasi PR ko 21k 2:56 to 3:00 sorry na lang. But one thing thou, you can join the Pacers they can run moderately and always visible sila para yung mga gustong sumabay para mag improve & mabanat yung mga slow leg pace nila. This is my 2nd time for 21-21-32 and looking forward na makapagtapos ng marathon. Kaya mo yan dudes with or without a group to run with, good luck and see you

  14. @angelo – disaster ang una kong FM last year sa milo 42mins yung last 3.8km ko lakad na talaga…ending to X:XX…baka mahatak pa kita sa kabagalan.. hindi mo na kelangan ng pacer eh base on your time normal mo ng kuhain ang 2hrs 50mins pataas sa 32k if you want… :-)

  15. Exciting event…last time nag 32k ako…mukhang i finished it in 4 hrs….lakad ako ng lakad…first timer ako that time….nagsimula ako maglakad in my 26k… Kaya hinde biro ito sa mga bagohan… Pero siguro ngayon kaya ko na sub 3 hours….dahil two times na ako nag 42k….goodluck

    good luck. ensayo lang ng ensayo, kaso hindi masasabi sa dami ng FM mo kung maka sub3 na. Pag-sub3 sa 32k, may potential na sa sub4 ng full marathon… at alam natin, maraming beterano na sa marathon ang hindi maka sub4.

    para maka sub 3, dapat maka average ka ng 5min 35sec / km sa buong 32km.

    Sa experience namin lang, nag try muna kaming kayanin yung pace na yan sa 21k bag mag attempt sa 32k. Sa 21k kailangan matapos ng 1h57m at dapat consistent (hindi lang PR, dapat regular at madaling ulit ulitin) kasi malaki pa rin ang jump ng 21k to 32k.

    baka maka tulong. Eto yung dapat na time para maka sub 3 sa 32k
    10k 55min 50sec
    21k 1h 57m 15s
    32k 2h 58m 40s
    42k 3h 55m 35s

    Sa akin lang, mas maganda kung dahan dahan mag progress. Sa awa ng dyos at sa pagpupursige sa ensayo, gumana ito sa amin.

    Marami pang panahon mag ensayo, kaya pa naman. Sabi mo na nahirapan ka simula 26k, try mong mag ensayo ng lagpas 26k at dapat hindi ka naglalakad. Once na naglakad ka kasi, mahihirapan nang habulin ang sub 3.

    maning-mani ang 2:4x sa inyo last year… traffic na nga nasagad nyo pa rin.

    huli ako ng 1 taon sa inyo, target ko ngayon 2:4x … at sana naayos na ni Rio ang route para hindi traffic… daming pasaway na runners, kung tumakbo naka balagbag sa daan (4 / 5 abreast kung tumakbo, tapos parang nag-gagala pa sa megamall) , meron pang addict sa pictures !!! Dapat talaga hiwalay ang route ng 10k / 5k dahil magpapang-abot talaga.

  19. guys tama naman na iconsider ko na ideal finish for an average runner sa 21K ang 2:30 di ba? yan ang target ko since yan ang cutoff ng milo hehe. sa 32K kaya, what do you think is the ideal time for an average runner?

    hmm will see you there para sayo na lang ako sabay. . may long distance race din kasi ako a week before nito kaya not sure kung anong pacing ang itatakbo ko :)

  21. @angelo: 3:45? @_@ haha! parang hindi ko naman kaya ang mag 1:15 din sa 22nd-32nd km. pero tama ka nga, logical na target time :). so while ung mga mamaw nagtatarget ng sub-3, ako sub-4 haha :)) pagchicheer ko na lang kaung mag-32K at pipicturan haha :D

    Ok lang yan. Eto stats sa RU3 32k last year

    total runners 2039
    sub 2 hours 5 – meron, foreigner lahat
    sub 3 hours 131 – just 6% of runners
    sub 4 hours 1028 – 50% of runners
    sub 5 hours 1875 – 91% of runners

    so kung mag sub 4 ka, nasa average ka.

    sa tingin ko mag doble ang dami ng tatakbo ng 32k ngayon, pero malamang pareho rin lang ang distribution ng time. Merong bibilis, pero marami ring first timers.

    Pero since na physically capable ka mag 2:30 sa half, ensayo lang para lumakas pa resistensya mo. Dagdagan ang long runs (lagpas 21k) na race pace / near race pace. Kung 21k race lang ang available prior sa unilab, mag 6 to 7km run muna bago mag start para masimulate yung 32k run. Pwedeng pag practisan ang Rexona (aug 12) at 711 (Aug 26). Sa akin lang, mas madaling mag-ensayo para sa endurance, kaysa mag-increase ng pace, kasi mahirap mag target ng time na hindi pa pala physically capable itakbo.

    Kung maka 2:30 ka sa milo, ensayo lang at kaya yang sub 4 sa unilab. Majority ng training mo para sa 32k na yan eh nagawa mo na para sa 21k ng milo. Ingat lang sa takbo at bawal ma-injure.

    hopefully makatakbo din ako dito… pa bday ko na sa sarili ko… but for now focus muna sa full marathon sa milo… finally and officially makakatakbo na rin… whoooo :-)

    thanks sa url. . . hmm kelangan pala tumakbo ng 00:04:41 para mag 2:30 lol . .
    ang mahirap lang dito pag walang garmin o device to monitor the pace, mahirap mag compute kapag stop watch lang gamit haha. . :)

  28. @angelo – tama ka dyan… tandaan mo na lang yung first 1k mo if kung nakuha mo yung target goal mo eh yun yung pacing na dapat mung imaintain… o duon ka na lang magbase sa KM marker… compute-compute hehe :-)

  30. gusto ko rin mag 32k dito kaso first hm ko this milo so feeling ko hindi enough na training ang 1 month para sa endurance for 32k baka madali na naman tuhod ko

    tanung ko lang sa mga beteranot well experienced na runner is :
    may ginagamit poko na knee support for both legs yung LP na brand na simpleng knee support parang compression something,,ginagamit ko siya sa lsd ko tuwing weekend,,okey lang ba yun?dapat ko din ba siya isuot sa takbo ko sa milo..maramig salamat po :)

    salamat, mark. na overwhelm naman ako sa post mo haha morale booster. i actually did 2:20 sa 21k dalawang beses. the thing is, sunod sunod ung runs ko leading to those events. pero di ko alam kung kaya ko sya sa milo, kasi last run ko was yung nuvali pa. hindi ako nakakatakbo longer than 5k pag training lang hehe. kaya ang goal ko tuloy is ma beat lang ung cutoff sa milo. may nakasched naman ako na 21k runs sa august, so mukhang good timing mag level up sa september.

    gusto ko itry ung suggestion mong mag plus 6-7 kms on a 21k run. probably in one of my runs in august. thanks, mark.

  32. Wow puro positive inputs – a morale booster for beginners. Hopefully, makatakbo ako for 32K. 4hrs ako nito last year so dapat makakuha 3-3:30 ako (wish!)

    Practice mode na ako ulit lagi :-)

    was it advised by your doctor? my personal opinion is that you don’t need it. it will only make your muscles weak because you rely on it. focus on body strengthening. that will help any muscle imbalance that you have

    training for the afroman distance is feasible especially when you safely increase your weekly mileage by 10-15%. but this will all depend on how fast your muscles can take the training and recover

    its always safe to take the 21k category. there are still many races in the future that you can sign up =)

  34. @barefootdaves – i will try lang na makuha yung QT of 3:50 for 35-39 age category, pag hindi kayanin eh maka sub4hrs lang eh masaya na… good luck din sa’yo alam ko tagal mo ng hinihintay ito… :-)

    dipo naadvice nang doctor and nitry ko lang po gamitin during my long run and so far okey naman po ang result sobrang takot lang po mayari ang tuhod a year ago po kasi nagka tendonitis poko and 6 months poko nagrest and ilove running po talaga so naisip ko gumamit nun,,though 2x week poko nagwoworkout sa gym circuit training leg work out and pag friday po nagswiswim po kami halos lahat nang advice na nababasa ko from experienced runners ginagawa ko hehehe,,, sir last question how about using compression socks?yung knee high po?is it good,,gumagamit ba kayo nun,,may mga nabasa ako na okey daw po siya even elite runners worldwide use it,,
