  1. wow! with timing chip c/o MyLaps even if this is a smalll group fun run! wohooo! sayang sumabay sa mga biggies like Brooks and Greentenial.

but im sure a lot of peeps who prefer a nearer venue will join this within a village run event! have fun peeps!

  4. wow ang saya, it’s just in our place! i’ve wondered nga bakit walang San Juan/Greenhills race sa dami na ng runs! I hope I can entice my whole family (including my parents!) to join! yihee excited :)

  5. this turned out to be a good run! it was a small and simple affair but it was well organized. there were ample water stations, with one station at about a kilometer or so. they had a lot of signs along the routes so no one would get lost. the signs weren’t big but they clearly stated which runners should go where. on top of that, there were a lot of marshalls and security/traffic guards along the route to usher you to the correct direction and to keep cars at bay. it made the routes, particularly the parts that were outside the villages, all the more safe. ambulances were also trailing the runners instead of just being parked in one area as with most runs.

the best part i think is the camaraderie and support that amongst the participants. people don’t really know each other but everyone would cheer when someone is near and crosses the finish line.

kudos also to the emcee who i believe was part of the village association. he was about 60 years old (or more?) but seriously, he was funnier and more entertaining than most run emcees.

on the downside, there weren’t a lot of freebies and the post-run area is small but i doubt the participants minded much. also, the singlets sizes were huge(!) the small was equal to about a large runrio singlet so i wasn’t able to wear mine. they also didn’t provide any warm-up or anything. it was up to each runner to prepare for the run.

overall, it was still a good run for price.
