Takbo Para sa Karagatan 2012 which is happening during the Dagupan Bangus Festival this year aims to raise funds to support the PNP Region 1 Maritime Unit's purchase of speed motorboats with faster engines. Scheduled on April 21, 2012.

The Bangus Festival 2011 and DZRD 981 Radio Dagupan, a Sonshine Radio Network Station, will be conducting a fun run "Takbuhan Para sa Kalikasan, Kalinisan at Kalusugan" on April 30, 2011.
