  1. I really enjoyed the run. I love the obstacles especially the hurdles! :D I commend the race organizer because this is one of the most organized runs I have attended by far. I salute the race marshals for their dedication in helping most racers finish some obstacles, especially the monkey bars and the wall. :)
    Congrats on the success! :)

  2. guys, better than leg3 ba? i want to join this one but conflict of schedule . hope next year i will be able to join. how few are you?

  3. @peterson: tamang tama lang ang dami.halos parang gaya rin last year.mas ok na ang ganito. kung better than leg3? no offense meant kahit kanino, pero para sa akin mas ok ‘to. sabi ko nga sa mga kasama ko na nag UNILAB,kahit libre pa sa race na yun, dito pa rin ako sasali sa Urbanathlon.

  4. amen! sa totoo lang, sobrang enjoy! talagang matetest ka sa obstacles, kakayanin mo talaga kahit pano pa yan. yun ang angat sa mga races na every week natin sinasalihan. iba to eh. nagbibigayan sa obstacles, walang mainit ulo. im proud to have taken part on this awesome race. im a lean 5 ft tall lady pero nakipagsabayan ako sa mga lalaki. girl power!

  5. ito ang totoong challenge! hindi lang basta takbuhan lang.. i joined the Urbanathlon 2010 but i should say that this year’s Urbanathlon is very much different! nakakachallenge ang mga obstacles at napakasarap ng pakiramdam nang sabitan ka ng finisher’s medal sa finish line…akalain ba natin na tumakbo, gumapang, lumundag, gumulong, sumuot, lumambitin at umigpaw sa pader… dapat itatakbo ko ung 3rd leg ko sa isang event para maka-avail ako nung sinasabi nilang commemorative shirt na ibibigay nila pag nakatapos ng 3 legs, pero mas pinili ko ito…hindi crowded ang pagtakbo, well hydrated ang mga runners, at napakaraming magazines! hahaha. isa pa, ito ang event na puro good looking guys and girls ang makikita mo… i would choose this again next year, kahit may kasabay pang big event… PEKSMAN!

  6. Men’s Health Urbanathlon 2011 Rocks!!! I enjoyed this event so much, GOOD JOB to the organizers, hydration booths are all in the right places, the course was great and the obstacle course sure was fun to conquer. My only regret, i didn’t choose the longer course, bitin! See you guys next year! Keep it up MEN’S HEALTH!!!

  7. What a way to end my running itinerary for 2011. This one and Merrell are my top running events this year and I am so proud to be able to finish both. Thank you Men’s health for giving me the best adrenaline rush I have had in a long time. I am so proud of my bruises and I can’t wait to show them to my officemates tomorrow. You were like angels to us assisting us in every whichway you can. Thank you talaga! Thank you! Once again, Thank you! I will see you in 2012.

  8. Loved the run! Obstacles are spaced out ng tama lang kaya may time makarecover before the next one. Pwede pa kaya damihan din ng obstacles? :D

Have to salute the marshalls esp sa monkey bars and wall – they really helped the runners (including me!) get through it.

hindi ako nagsisisi na ini-skip ko ang Run United 3… proud to be an Urbanathlete….so worth it.

  10. panalo sobra. nagsisi ako nalate ako ng 1day sa reg last year. sabagay i was just starting last year. this will be added to my yearly run

  11. urbanathlon was great! super fun and challenging, i remember pag left before nung gatorade wall, lahat ng tao nagmumura.hahahah tapos sarap pag baba mo ikaw nalang mag isa. nghihinayang ako late ako reg last year ng 1 day, i was just starting that time so didnt know where to check out races. this will be added up to my yearly races. sana maging urbanathlon din sha like in the US na pure obstacles

  12. @johnonline
same here, hindi ako nagsisi na hindi ko itinakbo ang RU3…hindi rin ako nanghinayang sa commemorative shirt nila… Kudos Urbanathletes!

  13. great fun 15K run! sana next year may 21K naman and more obstacles hehehe ;)

congratulations to the organizers for a well prepared event. congratulations to all those who participated.

  14. kudos Im certified urbanathlon thanks men’s health sulit na sulit after you finished all the obstacles you will recieved finisher’s medal to all and yet recognition certificate plus massage, foods, pictures to Pinoy big loser and box office king Mr. D. Ramsey. also hydration is good. i will rate this 10 . 10 is the highest. coz 750 reg, fee with 3 months subs, and back issue is really worth it very organized and helpful marshall . hopefully all the commercial event like this is wag kau kuripot na magbigay ng madaming freebies sa runners coz kung wala mga runners to join on your event it will not success . I will definitely run next year!!! Kudos!!!

  15. next year i will definitely join this one regardless whether conflict with other runs or not. i wanna experience the hurdles, monkey bars etc etc.

  16. Did a great run for the 15km though lack of training even once but ended up 1:39 with leg cramps starting 12km to 15km. My only reservation with the race sana next time hindi na READY, GET SET, GO!! hehehe

  17. Bumabahang Gatorade at GE Water every Water Station.

Cool obstacles/hurdles. Thank God I’m not wearing dangkal shorts, my thighs didn’t get scratch. Toughy monkey bars where I almost died – laughing.

Marshalls also did good with all their mega phones saying “lahat po ng category dederecho pa sa market-market” or something like that.

Medal right after the finish line.

Festival with guests: Derek Ramsey, Rovilson Fernandez and The Biggest Loser Big 5 where I only took solo picture w/ Kuya Art.

Century Tuna breakfast and I Love the salad!

FREE photo booth by GE Water. Yes, ladies & gents… FREE.

2 FREE Men’s/Women’s Health Magazine, 1 back issue, 1 present.

For a total of…. SEE GUYS NEXT YEAR!

For those who didn’t make it or for those who chose other events, it’s okay. We had FUN & left BGC with a 36 shot smile on our faces.

  18. ang saya2x ng takbo i love it!!! khit medyo sumpong njury ok lang… tnx sa lahat ng nag organize, nd to all marshalls.. cu nxt year ulit… ang saya saya!!!

  19. natawa ako sa comments dito. dangkal shorts haha. the battle scars were all worth it! kahit na nagtatalunan sila sa hurdles, yang mga lalaki na yan at ako eh ewan kung pano ko nagawang hilahin sarili ko sa hurdles and survived it with a smile….super fun. the monkey bars lahat ng makaawa ko sa nagbabantay alalayan lang ako pero kinaya ko kasi nasa tabi sya and the wall, i love the wall! girl power, walang arte. basta yung crowd na sumali sa run na to ok. parang exclusive club tayo ng mga warriors dito! at tama, sana next time hwag na ready get set go hahaha

  20. May “ready, get set, go” ba? Hehe.

Re the obstacles: the monkey bars, sana mag add pa ng isa pang bar pataas. I had to tiptoe up and even then, I could barely reach the bars – hindi ako makakuha ng good grip. Tangkad ko kasi. Haha. And the wall, saya siya kahit kelangan ako halos buhatin nung marshall :P More obstacles sana!

Next year, I want to try the 10k naman, or if kakayanin, 15k. And kelangan na talaga ng proper training :) Kita kita uli next year!

  21. sobrang saya maging part ng urbanathlon even though na loner ako at that day haha but the course is awsome sobrang nakakachallenge ung fast pacing sa run then the obstacle thanks for the great assist by the marshalls so far this is the most organized running event for me although sana more variety pa ng obstacles para mas astig :))

  22. mahina kasi yung ready get set go hehe. nandun ako tabi nung announcer. buti ka pa karen matangkad nagtip toe sa monkey bars. ako sa liit ko grabe takot ko sa bars haha but i did good. i need to, para maging certified urbanathlete. intimidating wall, kahit akyat bahay gang medyo kakabahan. haha. sana next time mas mataas. kaloka.

  23. it is not harder than i thought but still exciting and fun..especially the last obstacles (wall) before the finish line..sana it get’s tougher next year and sana hindi sila dikit dikit..

  25. Men’s Health must be really proud of this wall if they see it…

No Bad Comments, ALL GOOD Feedback…

I could not have said it better than Hanna.

Sa mga nagpost na hirapan pa yung obstacles, i agree but that’s us, there are some na nahirapan na sa obstacles this year. Let’s hope Men’s Health can come up with a solution for this. How about introducing a difficulty level next year?

This event is fast becoming legend, Immortality, take it, it’s yours.
