  1. 3:30pm…
Also, about sa finishers shirt? I hope organizers will anticipate correct sizes of singlets to the finishers shirt that will be given. What is the fabric of the finishers shirt? I hope drifit same as the singlet.

    Run safe!

  2. Sasali ako kahit mainit pa, ang mahalaga naman eh may cause at makatulong ako. SALAMAT Don Henrico’s sa Eat-All-You-Can at sa RUN na ito. :))

Sana i-move nila kahit one hour gun time.

  4. @rotech by dec po malamig na ang 3:30pm and also we considering your suggestions we can adjust it, if its needed.

@boybuhok- lahat po may after shirt at upon registration kasama nyo na makukuha available in xs, s,m,L,xl, at xxl.sa lahat ng Don Hericos’ Pizza outlets in Manila and Baguio.
@caviterunner- thank you for considering Don Henricos Run and Help Save A Life Today your last run for the year. Marami tyong Matulungan na pasynte saPGH ICU at Medical Ward.

    Salamat po sa mga comments

  5. Please kung pwede gawin nyo 4:30 start time, kahit december its not healthy running at 3:30pm, if youre running in the shade pwede pa pero under the sun madaling magoverheat ang katawan lalo na for those runners aiming for a target time.

  6. Run for a cause na,pwedeng mag family bonding pa.NICE…i’m from subic & bataan pro tatakbo ako dito…christmas gift ko sa sarili ko.sana po ma post un race map dito para ma familiarize nmin mga runners outside manila..tnx & you can count on me on that date.

  8. maganda and cause nyo at maganda and design ng singlet at shirt, hindi lang maganda and start time nyo – 3:30pm! I hope the organizers would pray na sana cloudy on that day or better yet umulan.

  9. Just registered today at West Ave., finisher’s shirt included.=) Nice singlet, nice shirt, good cause. I just hope this will be a really good run.

  10. Disclaimer:
This is a humble observation when I went to a certain store to inquire regarding the above mentioned run:

    1. Singlet fabric is very comfy. Near AXN Run fabric and/or Energizer Run.

    2. Singlet sizing is big. So If you are a small guy(like me), assured that you size XS.

    3. The finishers shirt’s fabric if cotton.

    4. For those runners who are so conscious regarding your time, THIS RUN IS NOT FOR YOU. Why? Here it goes, The race kit is compose of Singlet, Finisher’s kit and the bib. When I query regarding the timing device, the crew went to the office and ask for assistance. Because I noticed that there is no D-Tag, B-tag or any RFID Card included in the kit. But I noticed that there is a bar code printed at the lower right of the bib. When the guy approached me he also emphasized the bar code and said that it is the timing device. He said that the organizer said that it is the cheapest device they can provide since it is a run-for-a-cause. But how is it? When a runner enter the starting line he must be gunned by a bar code scanner? More worst at the finish line. When runner came in huge number and with all the exhaustion that they have, they must fall in line to be scanned for them to have their time. Accuracy is hindered.

Again, this is just a humble observation.

    Run safe!

  11. This is a humble reply to Mr.pdelcarmen.

1.singlet- the manufacturer of the singlet is also the one who did the menshealth run.
2.Size are based on their previous run shirts.
3.yes the finishers shirt is cotton fabric. hopefully for those who will join our fun run for the indigent patients of PGH Medicine department Ward 1 and 3, they could remember running with us and our hope to save lives.
    4. For those runners who are so conscious regarding your time, “THIS RUN IS NOT FOR YOU” that was according to you sir. But We believe otherwise; because this run is for the “CONSCIOUS RUNNERS” conscious runners that as they run with us, many can share their blessing this holiday season.
Imagine running with us, we can show our sick brothers at PGH that someone and so many were reaching out for them.Imagine them having more days with a smile on their faces.Imagine that the time you are so conscious about can be a time that could extend their life to be with their families.Imagine the DTAG or rfid you are so conscious about can be the cheapest device that could save their lives and bring them back to the society.Imagine when runners came in huge number and with all the exhaustion that they have, they must fall in line to be scanned for them to have their time.Imagine this small sacrifice is their everyday life at PGH just to seek medical help and another time of their life. Our accuracy is hindered;the worst finish line that we can provide can be a start of a second life.

  12. Conscious runners, I urge you to run with us lets make a little sacrifice.Lets take away our pride for a while; for a hope that we could all share; Let us run together dtag or no dtags. Lets us run with SAGIP BUHAY AND HELP SAVE LIVE. Register now at all Don Henricos outlets and soon we will place a registration booth at PGH and Sagip Buhay Foundation office.at PGH Taft ave Manila

    ________________________________________

Consider this your Christmas present to society – local Italian restaurant Don Henrico’s is going outside of its usual venture this December with a newfound purpose of saving lives, courtesy of a charity marathon event.

Named the Don Henrico’s Run: Help Save a Life Today, this urban race aims to aid the Sagip Buhay Foundation, a local organization that provides medications to our less fortunate brothers and sisters admitted at the Medicine Wards and ICUs of the Philippine General Hospital in Manila.

The run will take place at the CCP Complex, Pasay City on December 17, 2011 at exactly 3:30pm – just in time to catch a glimpse of the scenic view of the sunset bay, according to the organizers.

Interested participants can register at 3K, 5K, and 10K races at all Don Henrico’s outlets in Metro Manila from October 25 to December 15, 2011. And for a registration fee of P600, runners will be entitled to a race kit that includes a singlet, a bib number, and an exclusive post event shirt.

And to make things even better, the top three placers for each category will also receive cash prizes – P5,000 for the winner of the 10K run, P4,000 for the winner of the 5K run, and P3,000 for the winner of the 3K run.

The entire proceeds for this event will help provide assistance to healthcare professionals at the said hospital, which inevitably leads to more financially dependable patients getting treatment and more lives saved.

“One of the brand’s mission statements is to share and help improve the quality of life in the community that we serve,” s Don Henrico’s Pizza Foods Corporation. “And what a better way to celebrate the Christmas season than to do something you love at the income of those in need.”

  15. About Don Henrico’s

Don Hen, as it’s more popularly known, traces its beginnings from the kitchen of its founder in Baguio almost two decades ago. He has the talent and passion for coming up with new flavors by mixing sauces, so it was a natural decision for him to open up an Italian restaurant that showcases his talents.

He opened up his first branch along Session Road in Baguio in 1993, hoping to create something that would click with the university students in the city. And click it did. However, it became an instant hot not only among students, but also among families in Baguio and even among tourists visiting the city.

Word soon spread about this up and coming Italian restaurants that serves great food. And it wasn’t long before Don Henrico’s opened up first branch in Metro Manila. Today, it has 10 branches spread across Luzon and the Visayas, including the original branch along Session Road, SM Baguio, Malate, Tomas Morato, at the Brickroad in Sta. Lucia Mall in Cainta, Greenhills, West Avenue, Alabang, SM Mall of Asia, and at the Ayala Center Cebu.

  18. Perhaps, the moderators would also like to reflect on the manner by which they have replied to Pdelcarmen’s comment. These ‘conscious’ runners are indeed concerned about getting their run times logged right because they are the type who devote time to train to be better. Time and money perhaps for a personal trainer and maybe commuting/driving to a running venue too. Now, it is inevitable that races that lack the accurate timing technology will be frowned upon by such runners. That is normal. What is tasteless though, is that the moderator equates the ‘conscious’ runner with one that will run simply because it’s for a cause and brushes aside the plight of the ‘conscious’ runner altogether. My suggestion is to be level-headed and tackle the issue for what it poses. The moderator fails to answer the commenter’s posed issue by launching a plethora of emotionally-charged statements and ignoring the concern raised. It would better serve the participants if the moderator simply stated that though the race uses barcodes for timing, the organizers will do their best to serve the runner’s needs. Something like that should suffice.

There is no question that ‘conscious’ runners such as we are would join events like these because they stand to benefit a cause. However, we don’t need pandering to or being condescended upon just because we tried to state a legitimate concern.

    Thanks.

    • Hi Guys! Yes it’s true that the it’s a barcode code timing device and it’s also true that this run is for a good cause, I hope we don’t quarrel about this. Fact is, the details about the race is duly stated to let the runners know what the inclusions are and what the run is for. my opinion here is that the organizers are very transparent on this race and we should appreciate that, as for the runners, i believe each and every individual is looking for something on each race, may it be the timing, singlet, medal, or perhaps a combination of such and we must also each respect.

As a rule of thumb, let’s voice out our concerns but let us not quarrel, discourage or blame. We are each given the freedom to choose.

  19. @pdelcarmen

using the bar code, your finish time will be the gun time (no chip time). so if you are aiming for a podium finish, it is advised to go upfront the starting line and not be hampered by other runners

the time registration is only off by a few seconds. usually it is only +/- 5 seconds. and the race results comes out pretty quick as well. based from my experience, no longer than a week

and before i forgot, by the time you reach the finish line. they will only tear off the bar code on your bib. so it doesn’t take too much time. though a queue can be expected for a huge number of runners

if an electronic timing chip is essential on your end, i suggest to check out other races that is happening on the same day. hope i was able to answer your inquiry =)

  20. @hsdelrosario uo nga nice singlet and shirt… already registered last night sa don henricos pedro gil in front of robinsons manila see u all sa run :)

  29. i registered at chris sport market2, ganda ng singlet & shirt. the problem is the sizes, my usual singlet size is medium but the size which fit for me is small, so i get the small singlet; then i try the small shirt, this shirt is really a small size. i complain to the store incharge, she called the organizer say if i can change the size of shirt to meduim which the organizer says it cannot be change, because it has been packaged that way. My question is why is it that we cannot choose our singlet/shirt size which in turn those sizes does not fit. to make it simple, singlet ay maluwag sa akin, ang shirt ay para akong suman. so, ang pinili ko ay ang shirt na kasya sa akin, di na bali ang singlet kahit na maluwag pwede namang ipatahi ang side. don henrico’s baka naman pwede mapalitan ng tamang size singlet.
also, did anybody notice the item in the reg form which pertain to hydration station. “it says that hydration is at the finish line”, “at every 2.5km after the 5km”, don henrico’s please clarify this hydration station. cause if somebody will run for 3/5km, the only hydration station they will see is at the finish line, kawawa naman ang mga kasama ko na tatakbo ng 3/5km.
is don henrico’s knows about this or it only the organizer that knows???

    CALLING DON HENRICO’S……

  30. @ ronnie
pls check the route maps @ barefootdaves.com

  37. Organizer,

Don’t neglect on water station that is the important request. Don’t do what Animo did to us. No finisher, time, loot bag or freebies is acceptable. Hope we can help to the foundation in a little way. thanks to DH.

    more Power!

  38. DH organizer,

a couple of suggestion, you can ask help from chinese Voluteers for medic and amabulanace. You can ask help also for the marshalls, all you need to do is set-up orientation for the marshall weeks before the event so as to make a clear coordination on the flow of the run.

You dont need to spend so much money. you can save here for additional for the foundation.

  39. I agree with philip, i hope there is enough water station for the runners. Will support this run for a cause.

God bless and looking forward for a good year-end run.

  40. i think it’s my last run this year. hope maganda ito. nakaka frustrate kasi yung sanang last run ko (animo run). at sana di ako ma frustrate dito. hehehe gudluck don henrico’s!!

  43. ang dami nyong reklamo about hydration! magdala kayo ng tubig niyo.its about helping the children in the hospital, hindi yung puro reklamo na lang about the event.singlet lang naman gusto niyo dito db? let’s not be hypocrite.gusto niyo pa medal? yabang niyo lang yan..

  44. Don Henricos Run is for the benefit of Sagip Buhay Foundation (PGH) Medical and ICU Wards patients.

  46. yes!!!! lapit na… takbuhan again.. first run ko in the afternoon..
