my very first fun run was held at the Quirino Grandstand via the HYUNDAI FREE RUN. that became my instant fave!
it was also dream to run along Roxas Blvd esp when i was younger seeing lots of joggers and runners alike esp during weekends. many yrs later, i am now living that dream and proudly running the same historic route by the bay!

lately, BGC has also become a like for me too (despite the distance from home since im a QC resident) coz i feel kinda sosyal when i do my fun runs there with my PF running buddies and knowing its a very elite business and residential hub turned sought after race venue by a lot of Organizers. ^__^

what about you peeps?

BGC for me. Simply because it's very energizing.

as of now, mas gusto ko dun sa serenity place sa alabang (run4life). may part kc dun na madami puno its like im running in the jungle hehe and the place is awesome! yun nga lang its kinda far. =)

1. BGC - it's like a city for runners! (:
2. Roxas Blvd - MOA(Pasay) - this is were i spend most of my trainings and long runs if not on a race, since I live a few meters away from CCP.

McKinley Hill!! I'm always at my best whenever I race at McKinley.. I respect the course and gave it a special training whenever. Its where I clocked my best 5k run even though the course was really challenging!

Yup! grabe ang course dito! Just last last week, i had a small event here 3k and tasted my first podium finish. hehe, the course is really good for training uphills & downhills. McKinley Hills will always be remembered! HAHAHA

i just ran 16k nuvali yerterday. new favorite! the aroma of grasses and herbs, the songs of the local birds, the relaxing sound and feel of the river...

others in descending order:
mc kinley - love the aches after the run; nearest site to my place
bgc - 2nd nearest

awesome! congrats on your most recent 16K event over at Nuvali. ive been there 2x since our call center has a sister site there. and true, the place is very green and yes, birds there are a plenty!

i wanna try trail runs too! its more demanding and requires greater endurance due to its uphill and downhill topography. and after conquering the route, i guess there is a different kind of greater feeling once i cross the finish line...

UP DILIMAN is still the best place to run.. no pollution and maganda ang view.. my 2nd is the frontera drive, PBA RUN wherein grabe ang uphill at downhill kaya challenging talaga..

When it comes to plain patag roads, i prefer BGC and Aseana. For trail and much challeging run, i prefer in Makiling site.

currently, my training grounds is from km0, CCP, MOA, then back... thats abt 14km accdg to google maps hehe :)

but i liked the feeling running along commonwealth ave. last QCIM! just the feeling that the notorious wide roads, known for roadkills and accidents is all yours to cover... feels special ;)

though i like to live inBGC... fits my dream lifestyle ;)
but still won't fit for my savings though :( maybe in the near future :)

it is one of their privilege to run after work hours.

ill do 10K for this one...finally im gonna see myself running along the vast lanes
of Commonwealth and wave hello to my employer's building beside St. Peter's Church!
hahaha!

My favorite is the Blue Cross Broadstreet 10-miler (16k) in Philadelphia, PA. It's a fast and straight course that starts in North Broad street all the way to the Navy yard in South Broad street. A very scenic route, and a very festive atmosphere from start to finish with rock bands playing in miles 4, 5 and 6. At mile-8, a DJ playing the theme from the movie Rocky looped over and over (that's so Philly). It is also the best crowd support. A lot of people coming out to cheer for runners they don't even know carrying signs of encouragement and some funny ones like "you got great stamina, call me." No wonder Philadelphia is called "the city of brotherly love."

BGC, i was just invited by a friend for my first run last year on robinson fit and fun and after reaching finish line, i felt so fulfilled. It was my turning point that i realized i had passion in running. In less than a year, i was able to finished several half mary and completed my first marathon on condura. Everytime i join events, my first gunstart at BGC will always flashback.

I think it's great to take advantage of the Adidas KOTR since it has gone international. That should be the best starting point.

I agree with KOTR's fee. The funny part about that is the price is the same regardless if it's a 5k, 10k, and 21k.

A friend of mine said it's best: "if you're going to join races out of town or out of country, run at least a 16k or 21k." Make sense di ba? You're gonna travel that far, why not choose to run a longer distance race.

exactly! run a longer distance if its still available since a runner has already spent extra cash for travelling farther just to attend a race. makes all the spending much much worth it, so to speak!

in fact a family friend of mine who's British husband loves to attend marathon's was asking for future runs and i recommended KOTR since its still in October, and he is like a regular traveller but has already expressed willingness to join and run 21K. come October or a week before race day, our Brit friend Liam is either gonna fly from Germany, or Switzerland or China just to attend Manila's KOTR.

I ran during the Subic Int'l Marathon last January. Ang ganda ng race course, parang nasa trail run ka na concrete yung daan. Sigurado ka pang fresh air malalanghap mo.

Here's my top 5 Race Course:

1. Subic
2. Camsur
3. Sta. Rosa - Greenfield Run
4. Skyway - weird pero helps you realize na mabuti pang takbuhin or lakarin kesa magbayad ng toll fees, hehe
5. BGC

Looking forward to running in other locations...

I do night runs at BGC and join events there. Hoping to run races in different courses. also planning to save money to run in provinces. trip lang para makapasyal din =)
