three years na akong nagwowork-out and one year na ring tumatakbo pero di pa rin ako sure kung ano ba dapat. Some peeps said that cold is best specially if you had an intense work-out, to cool down. but some also said that warm shower is best to sooth down sore muscles...which is which???
What is best after running/working out? Warm or cold shower?

I also heard about having cold shower after workout, however, on my point of view di kaya masama ito to our health in our old age? Just to play safe, what I always did is after any workout I'll rest first my body minimum of 1 hour then have a semi hot shower, then pag patapos na ginagawa ko alternating cold and hot shower, what I read it is good daw, and sa skin naman, pag hot water it opens up the pores, and cold water closes the pores. :) Just my opinion.

I always take my shower after every run or any type of workout at room temperature. If I get a chance, I would rather submerge myself in an iced bath after running at least a half-marathon.

Here's something I've read in a men's magazine (the wholesome one more focused on health practices, hehe) and have been doing this for half a year now...
We all know that after running/workout, there are lactic acid buildup in our body.
The article says that immersing yourself in hot plain hot bath afterwards will just encourage more lactic acid production, parang "lumuluha" na daw ng lactics ang body mo, pinaiyak mo pa lalo ;)So the suggestion is this:
Start with a hot shower (or buhos...) enough to cover whole body.
Gradually decrease temp until cold (sa buhos method, 2 timba eto, isang mainit, isang malamig)
Repeat hot water routine, then cold again. repeat as desired ;)Ang goal is to stimulate blood circulation. I really don't know how it does that, but I feel faster recovery after doing this. I recommended this method to my Dad who is sometimes my jogging partner and agrees with the faster recovery bit.
Hope this helps.

im also scared of "pasma" ...better be safe than sorry...
when i was an active Gym goer at Fitness First a few yrs ago, and after a 2hr workout,
what i do is also have hot to gradually warm water ...for several mins...and then
pag naka adjust na ung body temp ko, slow increase to lukewarm water...leading to cold
water...i dont know if this is practiced by some or a very few, but turo sa kin ng mom ko,
coz ginawin type me, before a shower, wet first the armpits, and navel, so the body
temp can slowly adjust to the temp of cold water...sounds weird but works fine with me!always run safe,
