Any places you wish to run?
Mine are San Juanico Bridge, Great Wall of China, Golden Gate Bridge, Akashi Kaikyō Bridge, Si Du River Bridge (highest bridge),Sydney Harbour Bridge, China's Jiaozhou Bay Bridge -(the world's longest cross-sea bridge, no need for a loop for 42k! wow!)

Did you see already the opening of China's Jiaozhou Bay Bridge (26 miles)? That would be cool, for a future marathon event in China.

BOSTON MARATHON.
How to run a marathon:
Step 1: start running
Step 2: there is no step 2Posted 1 year ago # -
Mine? It's more of a dream. The Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, Jiaozhou Bay Bridge in China (I hope they'll organize a race), Sydney Harbor, San Juanico Bridge, the Great Wall of China (there's actually a race in that location), and participate in the big five marathon races: Boston, NYC, Chicago, Berlin, and London.
Realistically or more likely to happen: Golden Gate Bridge (there's the US Half Marathon and the San Francisco Half Marathon), and Rock n Roll Half Marathon in Philadelphia (almost the same route you saw on those Rocky movies).

Simple lang pangarap ko...in tradition of Skyway marathon, try naten sana ang NLEX or SCTEX marathon...
Then, for hill running addicts, Yung Sta.Rosa-Tagaytay route should be a killer!!! Amoy pinya pa yun, refreshing!
Dito sa Metro, I hope madagdagan choices other than BGC, MOA/Roxas. Like I said in the other thread, favorite ko so far ang Commonwealth (QCIM) dahil bago at mas feel mo ang freedom running on a 6-lane(tama ba?) wide road.
Na Try na naten EDSA run, pede din C5! you could just imagine the killer u-turns!uphill! haha!
..just thinking out loud, hehe ;)

Hey all! This is basically off-topic, but I wanted to share to you a race that I will most likely participate as my last race of the year. The link below is the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k in Washington, DC on December 3rd. There's also the Hot Chocolate race in Chicago a month earlier -- cuz it gets super cold in Chicago if they do it on December.
It has a very neat concept kasi after the race, runners will be treated with a variety of chocolate concoctions from Giradelli. A complete opposite of the race in Rockville, MD on July 16th as runner will be treated with free beers after the race.

wow interesting off-topic, Irangels! thanks for sharing the link!
you guys have very interesting races there in the US. haha! if not beers after
the run, youre goin to be served yummy chocolates! as in literally...and it sounds cute too! i bet lotsa people join in. is this your first time to
join the Chocolate Mary?Posted 1 year ago # -
ran 10k at QCIM2 last yr and it still holds my best 10k PR ;)
must be that feel of freedom and the cool weather too!be back for 21k... though last year dami feedback about incorrect distances. sana mafix nila...
anyway, back to topic... kapag namaster ko na ang hill running, gusto ko maexperience ang kennon road, lalo na yung stretch after the lion head? my estimate is that its a little over 45 degrees for about 300 meters then a sharp turn as the climb continues... i can feel my leg cramp while typing this, haha!

I remember we also had that beers treat during the Condura Skyway Marathon. They served Coors Beers. I didn't try it though kasi parang off sya. I was almost tempted kasi mukhang refreshing sya right after the race, hmmm, maybe i'll try it next time beers is served post race.

The first time I ran race with that type of after race pleasantries (the free beer) was last year. It's a fun atmosphere kasi I saw a a good of runners in that race na obvious na sumali sila para lng sa free booze. The race actually starts at 8:00 pm so after the race may mga bands, free goodies (like wings from 7-11), and of course the free beer. Basta rehydrate lng muna before chugging on the beer...
The hot chocolate 15k/5k run will be my very first run on a December morning, and could be my coldest race. Kasi race starts at 7:45 am, and it's usually 0C (32F) or freezing yung weather. I just learned about the race dun sa email that I got from RAM racing kahapon.

I agree with you when it comes to running in cool/cold weather. Nasanay na ako tumakbo pag malamig to the point na naging kryptonite ko na yung hot and humid weather. I was actually able to smash my PR on a 10-miler (16k) nung May kasi yung weather at race time is around 14C. For me, yun ang ideal running weather ko. Agree rin ako na ideal ang cold weather run pag dating sa mga unforgiving hills kasi ang bilis umakyat nung heart rate sa mga ganyan.

huwaw naman! so you're a returning runner na pla for the QCIM eh. im not sure if i can
level up to 21K here already or magbabad pa rin with 10K? hanep noh? but ill give it a
keen thought.aha, so you're interested in conquering the path after the Lion's Head along Kennon Rd.
then you better join me and @Suplado this December coz we're running in Baguio! and hows those cramps of yours earlier while typing this topic? hehe!Posted 1 year ago # -
Ako wish is to have the "Chicken Joy 10-miler." Yun lng... hahaha...
Going back to the topic of discussion, a friend told me about running in Colorado Springs, and it helped him a lot because of the high altitude. Medyo mahirap daw in the first week, pero once na naka-adopt na yung body mo, parang normal na lng daw. Tapos it's very motivating, at least for him, 'cuz they run by the US Olympic Training Center.
