Hi everyone! It's been a long while since I posted something here. Probably, my first for the year 2012.
This is really an excellent topic considering since a lot of runners ended up as triathletes or pursue a multi-sport discipline. This is because of cross-training.
Lance Armstrong for example was a triathlete before focusing on cycling. Now, he went back to triathlon, and placed second on his very first 70.3 (Half Ironman) in Panama.
Triathlon has never been in my mind until last year because I decided to include swimming as part of my cross-training regimen. Back then, I only cycle, indoors (using spinners) or outdoors, as my cross-training about twice a week then I run for about three times a week. I only incorporated swimming to prepare for an indoor triathlon until all three disciplines are now part of my training including the bike-run brick training.
Most of the people I know, just like the some here, have swim issues. Some because they don't know how to swim while some had a traumatic experience.
I will be happy to share of my methods and experience as we go along with this thread.
Thanks @Lems's , btw,for starting this thread.
