Lately I’m starting to really enjoy exploring the outdoors, either through trail running or hiking. So when Dindi of Saucony Philippines called me up for a sponsored Trail Run and a chance to test run the new Saucony Nomad TR Trail Shoes, it’s a definite YES!
What we joined it the 3rd and Final Leg of the Conquer Trail Adventure Series in Tanay featuring a 50K, 25K and 11K Trail Race, together with Dindi, my friend Charmagne, and other Saucony ambassadors, we are set to Conquer the 11K Trail Distance.
The event will double as a test run for the new Saucony Nomad TR, it’s the newest Trail Shoe being introduced by Saucony to outdoor lovers, it’s lightweight at 9.2 oz with a 4mm drop and designed for neutral runners. It does quite remind of of the Kinvara, in trail design.
To cut the long story short, watch our short video above! The Trails of Tanay was exceptionally fun and challenging! I guess we are also fortunate that morning that the weather was just perfect for an outdoor adventure.
The Nomad TR performed pretty well overall, as a newbie trail runner, what I can say is that it’s very responsive on the trail, good traction and provides exceptional cushioning, it feels like you’re running with normal shoes built for rugged conditions, I think you can practically run anywhere with the Nomad TR.
The only thing I complained about the Nomad TR was that since it comes with traditional laces, when they got wet, they easily untied themselves, so you will have to either secure them by double-lacing or upgrade them to lock-laces.
My now Not-So-New Saucony Nomad TR. All in all, I’m happy with the Nomad TR, can’t wait to go on more adventures with them.
