In the world of High Intensity Training two brands currently dominate worldwide, namely CrossFit and Reebok, the two brands together has brought the community of “Fitness” into a whole new level of competition, however due to their global partnership there has been news that “other brands” are disallowed to be worn in the popular CrossFit Games and one of them is NIKE.

Well, NIKE didn’t like the idea, so they recently launched a new colorway of its popular “CrossFit” sneaker Metcon1 calling it the “Banned” sneaker together with a slogan: “Don’t Ban our shoe. Beat our shoe.”, which we think is a direct shot to Reebok and CrossFit.

The tentative release date of the black-and-red “Banned” sneaker is on July 16 on Nike.com with a price tag of $130, and those who actually purchase it will basically make a statement that everyone should be free to wear whatever shoes they want, regardless of who is sponsoring what event.

  1. Comparing the Metcon1 to Reebok’s Nano 5 feature for feature mas angat ang Nano 5. Too bad na monopolize ng Reebok ang CrossFit Games and even sa UFC with the fighter’s uniforms. But from an economical standpoint whichever goes on sale first at may budget yun ang bibilhin ko.
