  1. Overall it was a great run. Very challenging 2-loop route with lots of uphills and turns. It was a hard route to achieve a sub-2 for me. Next year I’ll be having my revenge!

  2. It was very fun. Joined the funwave since baguhan (third 21k, started last month) sana lang challenge wave sinalihan ko dahil umabot ako sa 2:30 cut off, maybe next year then sub 2 naman next next year. Nakakaadik pala tumakbo

  3. Ok sana but a lot of sub2 runners we’re not able to get their 2XU shirts. Sayang naman, enjoy na sana lahat. Boycott na ko next year…

  4. Nice run and the weather cooperated. Starting time just right for a cool run and enough light for the photographers at the finish to take our pix.

Ample hydration — water and pocari. But no Choc Nut unlike 10k challenge ;) Bananas would also be appreciated.

I was only stopped once by marshalls at one intersection due to crossing traffic (considering the numerous intersections that we had to traverse). But this did not substantially affect my time.

Revised course (2-loop) was challenging physically (uphills and inclines) and mentally (repeat for another loop!).

I hope you post official/accurate times. It was disappointing to see the timer at the start/finish line not working.

Queue for the finishers shirts etc was too long.. Can of powdered milk was a treat. Better drink it asap–expires in a couple of months.

Suggest also age groupings/category. There is barely any race around town that provides age groupings/category. Anyway, it seems that your system could handle the results immediately considering that you have the team categories. This is especially meaningful for us senior citizens.

  5. .,baka may gustong mkipgswap ng challenge run finisher shirt.,got small size mejo maliit pala s akin and i need medium po, sayang kc kung ndi masusuot ganda p nmn nung shirt.,thanks.,pm me 09168773871

  6. Pinoy Fitness Marathon Challenge 2015!

A time of under five hours should be good as it will be tougher than the cut-offs of other famous Filipino marathons that offer cut-offs of six hours and above.

  7. problema ko lang ay habang tumatakbo ako, di ko alam kung saan ako iihi.. hahhaa.. dun lang talaga sa venue merong portalet.. anyway, ganda ng fshirt, very comfortable.. next year, challenge wave naman ako haha.. stepping stone ko lang muna ang fun wave.. first time ko tumakbo sa BGC, and i enjoy it. Thanks PF.

    • New PR for me. Although di ako nakaabot sa cutoff, I’m still happy with the results! Madilim lang sa Kalayaan flyover. May isang runner na nadapa sa likod ko dahil may nakaharang na sack of sand doon. Sana din madagdagan ang portalets, especially along the race route but overall, it was great race! Next year I’ll be having my revenge! *evil laugh*

  8. after 15years of no running and and returning with 6months of training, I am so proud of my self on making the cut off for the SUB2 Challenge…. next year I will prepare early for the PINOY FITNESS 32k YES I CAN DO IT challenge.

  10. Overall okay yung run. Siguro for improvement, more portable CRs para hindi mahaba ang pila, and ibahin yung route para hindi paikot-ikot lang.

  11. This run is very memorable to me. First time I ran injured. My ankle was twisted when I fell, just at the beginning of the marathon LOL… But it didn’t stop me, still able to complete the 21K challenge run with a good pace and within the cut-off time :) My sprained ankle is still swollen but I have the most wonderful feeling for conquering the pain.. i guess this is really part of the game :)

  12. While I enjoyed the run and the course, what I didn’t enjoy was the long queue to get the T-shirt. I observed that too many people were arguing, discussing, negotiating, debating for a different T-shirt size. This ends up holding up the queue. Because of this, I didn’t bother getting the free T-shirt and the can of powdered milk. Besides I was there to run and beat the 2:30 cutoff so the freebies were just secondary.

  13. New PR for me! (2:05). Bukod sa walang ilaw sa Kalayaan Flyover during the first loop, ok naman. Just wished there were a few extra.hydration stations.

  14. onga po sir. walang portalets during the run. kahit po sana halfway para di masyado masakit sa pantog. hehe. anyway, enjoy po talaga ang takbo. keep running tayo! great event PF!

  15. my comment is the lights and portalet. Like what Sky Sagcal mentioned, walang ilaw sa flyover and some sections sa start of the race. Delikado baka may matapilok since di naman maganda daan natin sa pinas. Sana nag-rent yun organizers ng portable light stations or kausapin ang city govt to turn on the lights of the flyover.

Another complaint is the missing portalets. Sa Run United, you will see portalets along the way. Tuloy yun mga guys na naihi, sa mga tabi tabi na lang. Not a good thing to encourage.

  16. sa mga nag-track ng distance, ilan lumabas sa watch nyo? Sa akin kasi 21.70km but I had to stopover sa Shell station to piss kaya may extra but to those who didn’t make any unnecessary detour, how many km nag-register sa watch nyo?

    Thanks

  17. Thanks PF for organizing this event. Pero just like any other events meron konting palya di ba? 1. alang marshalls na nagscreen sa starting line kaya madaming taga challenge wave ang mas nauna pang tumakbo kaysa taga sub2. 2. nagkaubusan ng FS sa sub2 3. mahaba at magulo ang queue para kumuha ng FS 4. di gumagana yong clock. Ganoon pa man tatakbo pa din ako next year hehehe.

    • CHECK PINOY FITNESS NEW IDOL Mr. KILLY KUNIMOTO’S RACE RESULT, START OF RACE 4;26 am PANG SUB-2 INSTEAD OF 4;31am NA PANG CHALLENGE WAVE, COLOR OF RACE BIB (blue) NALITO LANG SIGURO YUNG JAPANESE GUY. NATUTUWA LANG AKO PINOY FITNESS PA KASI ANG NAGPOST AT NAGSABI NA “OUR NEW IDOL”…TAMA KA MAY KONTING PALYA NGA.

  18. Infairness sa Pinoy Fitness event na ilang beses na nasalihan ko na rin, natutuwa ako with the cost of registration, masasabi kong consistent sila compare sa ibang race event, when it comes to the good quality of singlet, finisher shirt and also the freebies, masasabi kong sulit na rin ang bayad ko…Keep it up Mr.Jeff Lo…yes,we paid for the Run but the good thing is…you never forget to include the word” SATISFACTION”GodBlessYouMore….

  19. This was my third 21.097Km+ run in Manila.
I must acknowledge it was good challenging course. But there were few points which organizers should look into to improve in next edition.

    1. Since it involved 2 loops and MyRunti.me was timing partner, I didn’t understand logic of not having RFID mats at U turn on Kalayaan Avenue, Lawton Avenue and Half way Mark. Organizers/ Volunteers were giving tokens at U-turn points with utmost chaos with color of token. Runners won’t be getting split timings as well :(

    2. There were hardly any milestone marks. I understand since run was having loops, putting up milestones would have been challenging and confusing to runners. But like at half way mark, there should have been milestones at Kalayaan Avenue and Lawton Avenue U-turn point.

    3. It was utmost dark on Kalayaan Avenue flyover during first loop which had good chances of twisting ankles in potholes. Should have kept couple of provisional Lamps in between.

There were lot of good things in organizing and many other runners have pointed out in their comments. So I don’t want to repeat them.

I am sure organizers will take this in sportive spirit to improve in next edition.

  20. I enjoyed the run and it was well organised. It must have been difficult to coordinate in regards to the traffic and road restrictions. Of course there are
    some suggestions for next time.

    1. Slow distribution of finishers kit. I know those people that assisted were working hard and doing their best but the lines should have been separated by shirt size like the runrio sofitel manila event. It would have been faster.
And who put the confusing sign up that suggested size conversion of the finishers shirt? It was not accurate.

2.Next time (for the benefit of people new to these events like myself) Please explain (before the race start) about the relevance of the coloured string. I had no idea why people were giving out coloured string at the first turn until I later realised it was proof of passing the turn around points. I missed the first one and thought that I would be disqualified for not having it. I got both strings on my second lap and then found out it didnt matter if you had any or not at the finish line.

Thats my only complaints for the organisers.. otherwise a huge thank you to all the organisers and volunteers who make it all possible for us to take part in these events. I appreciate your efforts and the time you put in behind the scenes.. before and after the event. Everything else was great!

Last thing for the runners.. dont be an inconsiderate jerk when crossing the intersections. If you run across in front of cars when the traffic officer asks you to stop then the cars slow down and cause bigger delays for all those runners that have stopped to wait for the car. I saw this happen a few times and it pissed me off. I know you all want to post your best time but you are running a street race so be prepared for stopping at intersections.. dont make it worse for other runners!

Other than that.. congrats to the winners.. the finishers.. and everyone who took part. Its a fantastic social and sports event.

    Ben

  21. Hi pinoyFitness.. hope to get my f-shirt so soon.. I was not able to get the medal kaya sana nmn m deliver agad shirt. Here is my bib number 10225. My other prob is the size baka hndi magkasya since walang fiting. Haist! Yet its stil fun to run with you guys. Still waiting for txt or call as instructed to us na nawalan ng f-shirt. Thanks and more power

  22. hello PF.. how about the time results of the others? fun wave po tinakbo ko. i’m trying to beat my personal record. sana po mai-post kagad yung result. thanks

  23. 21.7 naman sakin gps… sino yong mga ambisyoso na sumali sa sub2 na hindi nakahabol sa cutoff tulad ko. napalayo, walang medal…Bwahahahaha…

  24. Didn’t make the cutoff but it was still a nice change from my regular chill pace. Sharing my race blog. Congrats PF!

#PF21KChallenge is not only a race against time but it is also chance to push ourselves further to make the finish line faster. It’s definitely an adrenalin rush whether you are chasing a sub 2 or 2:30 finish or just want to have a decent finish in a challenging course. https://francramon.com/pinoy-fitness-21k-challenge/

  25. Sir,pwede pa correct yong sa Fun Wave category BIB Number 30254 Quintin J Apolinario III instead of Luis Lopez. Nag registered kami as 3+1 baka nagkapali palit kami. Thanks…..

  26. Okay na po yung overall result. May laman na. Kanina wala :D

Mas mabilis akonkapav solo, kesa sa may kasama. And last thing, umagwat ng halos 10mins. yung takbo ko dito sa pf21k challenge kumpara sa sofitel. Hahaha kulang sa training.

Kita kits sa dec.7. Milo Marathon

  27. Pakiramdam ko di lang 21k yung route pero masaya ako dahil natapos ko just in time, and napatunayan ko na kaya ko tumakbo kahit nag hello ang pulikat both quads and calf.. sana maulit ang ganitong challenge and i make sure mas gagalingan ko pa! More training hope and faith pa kailangan.. congratz sa lahat ng kasama ko tumakbo sa lahat ng category, win or lose, the victory is still ours dahil tinapos natin kahit mahirap.. para sa nakita ko nag short cut, hindi kami dinaya mo, sarili mo..

  28. Hi pinoyfitness! I got my 2xu finisher shirt but there’s a lofty problem about it. The shirt has factory defect, I think it is in the material that they used. It was always wrinkled even it is a drifit shirt and the shirt has 2 holes in it. Too bad I can’t post a picture here. I didn’t inspect it until I got home and tried to wear the shirt. Can I still get it replaced and how? I want to get the fruits of my hard labor and my money’s worth. Please reply pf

over all the race was great and fun! Lots of hydration and marshalls. The only problem for me is the categories. We thought the 2xu wave and challenge wave are 2 seperate categories. Most of the winners came from the challenge wave. Anyway, they’re fast but it would be better next time if they’re seperate.

  29. This is my first ever 21k run and i challenged myself with 2:30 cut-off.
Unfortunately, I am 7 minutes behind, but it’s fine, 21k was never easy. Its a big pain in legs especially sa knees..:)
Anyway, some points sana that organizers should consider are the ff:
    1. Some area are not properly lighted esp sa flyover.
    2. Portalets and more portalets, please..:))
    3. The clock was set to zero when I reached the finish line, or probably baka cut-off lang yung inorasan, pero sana may clock n tuloy-tuloy para malaman ng ibang runners kung gaano katagal yung tinakbo nila.
    4. The line for the finisher shirt could have been better kung ny size ang pila.
    5. I have read a comment about the RFID mats, sana may ganon sa ibang area since 2 loops yung tinatakbo. Plus sana naexplain yung importance ng string.

Other than these, it was really fun. I enjoyed my first 21k run. Kudos
Looking forward for next year’s challenge..

  30. It was a good run. Mas nag improve pa ako kasi mas maaga ko natapos ang challenge wave. Looking forward for another event next year. Congrats to all and to Pinoyfitness! :))

Sana may link kung saan namin makikita ang mga ibang pictures bukod sa sa inyong kuha.

  31. Being new to running, I think it was a good decision for me to have Pinoy Fitness 21k Challenge as my first 21k run. I was able to push myself harder and break limits. Overall, I still had fun, though I was short by 5 mins. I just hoped for more signages since I didn’t have a tracker and I’m still unfamiliar with the distance. I’ll definitely be looking forward to next challenge. :)

  32. nakuha ko na din FS ko pero ang laki pala ng small size. Sino po gusto makipagpalit ng xs? txt me po zero.nine.two.five.five.four.three.seven.seven.six.six
