How Energized are you for the Day?

Living an active lifestyle sometimes mean that you need to push your body to the limit, doing so allows your body to go beyond what you are currently capable of doing. Proper training and exercise together with rest and proper nutrition is essential to sustaining this lifestyle.

So we got the training part covered, but what about nutrition? Having proper nutrition makes sure that you have enough energy to help you complete and keep up with your training plans.

Did you know that 70% of Filipinos don’t get the right amount of vitamins and minerals they need for the day? What more for us active individuals? This is called nutrition gap, the bigger the gap, the harder it will be for our body to recover from a hard training day.

To lessen the nutrition gap, we need a wide variety of different foods to provide the right amount of nutrients for good health—ranging from green, leafy vegetables to milk, cereals, fruits, fats, proteins, beans, and so on. However, with today’s fast paced, fast food selection, it can be quite challenging to eat and find the so-called balanced diet.
