  1. madilim on most parts nung umpisa. hindi well-lit yung area ng roxas, buendia, tsaka fort. other than that, i think it’s a great run.

  2. Thanks be to God for the great weather and the gift of running! I found the event to be well organized (more than ample hydration stations, a challenging race route with great signages and marshals, availability of medics, security…) something typical of a RunRio event. There will always be room for improvement and things to complain about like poorly lit areas, the muddy claiming area, and maybe some others that I did not catch, but it was a great “running fun” nonetheless. Kudos to coach Rio and his team for another job well done and to Unilab for being such a generous sponsor.

  5. There were a lot of dark areas in the 42k route, I almost tripped when I stepped on a stone near the 6k mark. There were 2 marshalls near the 7k mark who tried to light our path with penlights, thank you guys for the effort! Suggestion to the runrio team, maybe you could give larger flashlights to some of the marshalls manning the dark areas in your next runs.
I learned a lot from this run, this being my second marathon.
Never forget your sunprotective wear! I forgot my sunvisor, forgot to wear long sleeves, wore sunblock that lost effect in 45mins (haha), wore below knee jogging pants and short socks… upon finishing the run, I had striped tan (haha)
Train! Train! And train some more! Stretch! Stretch! Stretch! Stretch a lot!
I had iliotibial band syndrome bilaterally and it has been the longest last 4k for me!
    I enjoyed the run though!

  6. A postrun ice bath really works as well! It decreases all the pains of running long distance. :-)
Looking forward to my next run!
    Rexona RTYB!

  8. Great run. i finished my first ever 42k run. Saya saya! Kahit walang tulog. (my last run was the RU2 32k). But i did it anyway! Tiwala lang sa sarili!

Yung 3 medals ko nag LETS BOLT IN na!!! Very nice!!! (^_^)

Congrats to all finishers!

Congrats to all to finishers! :)

  10. Baka po may mga photos pa kayo.. hehehe.. just wanted to tag myself or grab some.. solo lang po kasi ako na nagpunta sa event.. thanks..

  11. Organized naman ang Run United as usual. My first ever full marathon and definitely not my last. I debuted my first 21km in Run United 1 2012 took me 3 years to do my first full mary and Run United event uli ako nagdebut. I cried when I crossed the finish line, ganun pala ung feeling ng magawa mo ang isang bagay na akala mong hindi mo kaya and that’s why I fell in love with running. It made me realize that I can do anything I fix my heart and mind to. I’m not a hundred percent in condition, I was diagnosed with a chronic pain disorder, Fibromyalgia and the doctor advised me not to run for more than 3-4 hours. I had to fight that. Finishing my first full marathon with nothing more than my tired and sored feet is a testiment that I can go beyond that. Running has become my therapy. Sa lahat ng mga runners na nag-iisip kung kelan at kung kaya nila mag full marathon, yes you can, it’s all in your head, and if you have the passion in this sport, kaya niyo matapos no matter how long it takes. Congratulations to all RUPM finishers! Let’s all run happy.

  12. Well organized, good weather and great run.

    Congrats to all!

  13. May napansin lang pala ako during claiming ng finisher’s kit and shirt. Siyempre hindi naman papayag yung mga tao kasi dapat 1:1 yung singlet and finsher’s shirt for the 21K and 42K. May inventory yung organizers.

  14. Zero sleep, blister, and cramps on both legs.

  15. sa 42K route, may metro aide na nagwawalis on the way papuntang u-turn sa paakyat ng fly-over galing gil puyat buendia.

  16. Sharing my race post, I also took some photos after my run and included the links in the post.Thanks.

Run United is a journey for most with the Citues (Faster), Altius (Longer) and Fortius (Stronger) theme that encouraged runners to take the next step in their running journey. SM Mall of Asia became a host to another series of feel good stories with several runners completing the trilogy and some finishing their first or nth Marathon. Congratulations to all finisher and most specially to the newly minted Marathoners.

Saka patay malisya kahit tignan mo pa eh. Haha winner.

  18. thank you for the great run! ano kayang group yung nagtatake ng photos dun sa 3rd hydration station at nung girl before mag u turn paakyat ng buendia fly over?

  19. Ang sarap ng pakiramdam when you cross the finish line… natapos ko my first FM within the cut-off time… sana next year makuhako under 5hrs… thanks na walang nakipag-swap or bumili ng race kit ko… napilitan tuloy akong tumakbo ng Full Mary. hehehe

  20. My 1st 21k!! And i enjoyed it!!! For me, well organized, madaming inumin at saging… only prob was the FS, sana same amount of singlet size = same amount of FS size…
Singlet ko xs tapos FS ko L… ndi ko tuloy masuot sobrang laki…

Anyone still willling to swap your FS, mine is L swap to XS or S… pls…

Here’s my # 09226816505. Tnx.

  22. Sana next time, gawing 1:1 yung ratio ng singlet and finisher’s shirt sa 21k (and sa 42k?).

    • I always give my singlet to my father, while I keep the finisher shirt. He wears large, I wear medium. That way, we wear the same race event shirts when we run together on a weekend, makes me proud when people see us together and helps encourage him to run just even short distances (as he can’t run longer than 10K anymore). So I prefer to have that option to have a different size for singlets and finisher’s shirts.

  23. how come the running events do not have a filter for pictures wherein you just type your bib number and the pictures of the runner will show up? It is difficult to look for a picture now because you have to go through thousand of pictures of different photographers. A few years ago, RunRio had this technology. did they stop doing this?

    • volunteer lang kasi yung mga photographers today and same reason lang din baket nawala yung previous filtering, cost-cutting..

most likely kasi kapag nilagay nila yung info na yun sa registration and after the race panget mga kuha nila or kakaunti, for sure madami pa rin mag cocomment.. so i think this is one of the main reason bakit inalis na nila.. hindi rin kasi magiging fair sa lahat, lalo na kapag dagsa na yung mga runners, for sure hindi naman nila mapipicturan lahat ng yun.. just my opinion sir, pero ok nga rin kung mafifilter..

Si Tara Trip Tayo filter nya yung timestamp so kung alam ng runner dumaan sya during that time pwede nya scan yung album..

Maybe we can suggest na rin sa ibang photographers para madali rin pag scan.. :)

    • ,,,as per Enervon Activ, please wait for the web link to be published, on that site, you can just type in your bib# or name, and you should be able to filter your own pix. As for the other photographers, please be mindful that those are just volunteers and their passion is to take momentus shots of runners in action, and they’re for FREE, unlike on previous years, they have a PF on the coverage of the event. You just really have to dig through all the folders, and hoping that you got a shot. Btw, always thank and applause them for doing their passion, whether its Free or Not.

  24. aren’t there pictures of the 10km runers? do we have to go through the thousand of pictures of each photographer? If I remember, before when RunRio just started there would be a site where you just put in your bib number and the pictures of the runner will come out. Something like this will also encourage more runners to register for a run instead of going on bandit.

  25. Congratulations to all finishers!

Anyone who’s willing to swap their size S/M 21k finisher’s shirt with my size L shirt? Ang laki kasi..di ko masuot :(

    Salamat!

  26. Wala pa po ba ung race results? Pati ung raffle winners wala pa din lol

2nd 21k ko ito. Nakakatatlong race na ako this year.

  27. Its my first RUPM run. Overall all, its a well organized run. I’m glad they closed the streets for safety and it wasnt raining. Congrats to Unilab and Rio. Yup, I also noticed the dim lights pero this is nothing new to me. I always use caplight & blinkers during the run. Kahit may poste sa daan, posible namang di umiilaw. . Problem lang, they werent fast, I guess di sila handa that time. Naghahanap pa ng flashlight, the medicine kit was still in the box, they were looking for it. i lost about 25 minutes for the treatment. Pero I finished the 21k sa oks lang. Still got my medal.

  29. More portalets po pls! Grabe kc dami kong inom nung tinatawag nako ni mother earth wla ko makitang portalet ..liliko n sana ko kay jollibee kaso nhhiya nmn ako..tpos sa gasoline station din sana ayoko din :l tpos may nakita akong portalet sa roxas blvd kaso nsa kabilang side pa.ayoko din tumawid bka sbhn nagsshortcut ako.so sige tiis tiis ikot muna sa coastal so aftr mga 1-2km may nakita akon portalet boom walang lock..helo girl ako.bka may magbukas nun.e sobrang twag nako ni mother earth..hinawakan ko nalang ung door grabe ang toxic!!! Da rest wla nmn akonb reklamo i enjoyed my first full mary with flying colors!hahaha

  31. Sa 2015 maybe magkasabay ang 7-11 run at Run United leg 1 kasi ung 7-11 run March 15, 2015 schedule ung Run United leg 1 maybe schedule din March 15, 2014

    Run United 2012 March 17, 2013
    Run United 2013 March 16, 2014

  32. ask ko lang po where to find the pics on finish line for 42k taken by the girl wearing pf shirt together with sir jeff? sila kc ung nagpipicture ng runners na nag cross na ng finish line.. big thanks :)
