  1. Bat ganun? Dapat Sub 1 11km ang title ng event na to! Grabe yung flyover jan. Kakadala! Di pa masyadong maganda ang stage presentation. So boring

    • malamang running app gamit mo using a smartphone. Minsan mabilis metro nang running app depende sa smartphone na gamit mo i.e. iphone 3gs. Me nakita nga ako kanina sa sub1 10k event, nakaarmband ung smartphone tapos 3.20k ang nakadisplay eh 3.05k pa lang sa Garmin ko.

      Incidentaly, Sa Garmin 205 ko eh 10.15 kilometers ung run. Siyempre isama mo na ung swerving mo left and right para umiwas sa tao, so konti lang talaga ung dagdag.

      The flyover was a challenge, and yes it sapped around 1 minute from my time. But it’s part of the game.

    • Sir sino ba gusto mong host? Kasi kung nabobore ka sa Host, dapat pumunta ka Laffline o Klownz. Dapat hindi kana tumakbo.

  2. Mali ung binigay nila samin na RaceBib Sub-1 Reebok ang avail namin pero ang bingay pang ENERVON HP, nung pnpalitan namin, binigay samin ENERVON ACTIV sabi Alabang Branch daw ang may mali, Sana hindi na maulit toh PF Group.

    • we got the same experience, we didn’t get what we registered for.. had it concerned several times to mr. joey of pepsquad and he told it’s reebook trinoma’s staff fault.. after convo with the store staff, it turn out pepsquad didn’t do their job accordingly, referring to joey. that part there was the most unlikely experience on the whole event. nagtuturuan ng blame, wala naman naging solution and still the inconvenience is on our part.. anyways, we still enjoyed the run. we just hope not to encounter same claiming experience in the future.

  3. Salamat pinoyfitness…very well organized event..first time ko sumali sa fun run..ginawa ninyo pang memorable..more events to come..sa mga di nakakuha ng medal bawi na lang po kayo..wag puro reklamo..peace..

  4. Woooh! Thank you pinoyfitness for this wonderful event! This is one of my most important medal. Anyways great event kudos to the organizers and most especially Sir Jeff.
    And I’d like to dedicate this medal to the Run United walking bashers, well now I’m officially calling them The Walking Dead. To you people, You can have all the Run United Medals that your money can buy but I assure you, you will never eeever have this precious medal just by walking.
    and as always, Believe in The Shield.

    • anong time mo?baka sabit ka lng ung malapit na mag 1hr..ang yabang mo boy..walding dead kaw no tawag mo sa sarili mo.,kaw walking mammal

    • oo naman…hitting the sub 1 on the 10k category is no sweat for me..:) i don’t even need to train hard just to get it..:) short cuts? naaahhh… i can finish it early…:)

    • and me nakatapos na ba ng 10k in less than an hour by just walking? magisip ka nga..haha galing tlga magpatawa..:))

    • Shield gano kb kabilis kanina..baka sumabit ka lng sa 1hr..59min n 59 sec..at makapag salita kng walking deads parang napakabilis mo..tara laban tayo at malaman natin kng cno magging dead..

      • Haaaayyyy…. Mga Walking Dead talaga. Nagtawag pa back up. Eto style nyo. Magpapalit palit ng name para masabi merong mga kasama. I accept your challenge. Sama mo pa Tatay mo.

      ou sama ko pa tlga tatay ko…baka nga kumain ka ng alikabok sa nanay ko? training k pa parey..:)

  5. It was fun,naka ilang “lord help me”ako habang tumatakbo. This is my second sub1 medal. Im really happy that i am a sub1 certified. I also beat my previous sub1 record last sept 2013. Yun nagsasabi na 11K baka naman ibang route mo?

  9. Mukhang ito ang pinaka prestigious event sa march 30, may mga kenyan runners siguro. Kumusta yung top finisher prizes at raffle prize?

  10. I was excited for this challenge that I registered on the first day of registration. My PR is 1:05 and I wanted to finally go SUB1. Unfortunately I got sick for almost 3 weeks this month of March that I did not get the chance to train and condition myself. I still ran yesterday, although I walked most of the time because my back hurt and I got tired easily. It sucks, I know. I wasn’t even able to sustain my PR. Ugh.

    Well, I hope there would be another race like this sometime this year. I would like to have a chance of redeeming myself and finally get that medal. It was a good race and that flyover was a hell of a challenge. Haha! The sunrise beyond the Manila skyline was awesome too watch while running too. My Nike+ App registered 11km. I’m not sure why,

  12. salamat sa PF.. after wall to shotgun… isang mabilisan takbo naman ang sub 1… nahigitan yung last year sub 1 but not my PR.. unting training pa at pahinga din pag may time… next year ulit at sana ang PF din ang mag pa SUB 2 sa 21K…PF gawa kayo ng GRAPH ng mga tumakbo sa SUB 1 tulad ng ginawa nyo sa RU1. tnx

  13. VEry Nice Run.! Challenging tlga ung sa Flyover kahit ung Car na nakataob na challenge. Sana ok ung Driver n passengers.

    Anyway.. good choice na dito ako tumakbo kesa sa FM ang balita ko daw congested and route sa FM dahil sa dami ng runners. 16k nila ay 3 waves.

    Good Job sa mga SUB1 Finishers. Another Medal for us to be proud of.

  14. My only comment is about traffic control. Nakakawala ng momentum and this is a time trial race. Every second counts.

  15. .. sa mga may complain sa distance, sukatin nyo gamit ung googlemap makikita nyo kung tama ung sukat(at sa tingin ko tama naman)
    .. no need para mag-away away pa. kaya wla ngyayari sa bansa natin khit dito may naghihilahan pa-pababa. maging matuwa na lng tayo sa resulta ng mga tumakbo.

  16. Pocari sa kalayaan flyover naubusan, mabuti nalang marami water sa station binalikan ko kasi si wify sa route halos panghuli na siya pero may tubig parin halos, thanks sa staff binigyan kami nang ice….. congrats every one…..

  18. Thx PF for this challenging event, i just hope next time mas maaga pa ng konte ang gun start.. and yup nagkaubusan ng hydration sa may flyover, which sana mas marami doon ang tubig dahil yung ang mas challenging route :)

  23. Finished my first sub1 in 58 minutes. Maraming salamat sa medal. Very challenging for me. Thank God i made it!

  24. Sa mga nagsasuggest ng sub2 21k? Lol you guys. Seriously? I-podium finish nyo na lang yan sa ibang race, fame and prizes pa. Malakas pala eh :))

    About sa distance, my timex global trainer says 9.96km, so, spot on pa rin ang distance. :)

    • Sir, maganda po kung magpapa SUB 2 sa 21k, dagdag training na naman yun para maprove natin sa sarili natin na kaya natin ang bawat challenge. Pero kung pagbabasihan ang RU1 at MILO mukhang unti lang ang makakatapos ng 21k na sub 2 at malamang unti din lang ang mag aacept ng challenge na ito.Sana ang PF a din ang magpasub 2, pwede before RU3 o MILO Finals.. tnx

      • Eh di tulad nang Sub1 10k me Fun wave. Ako pipigain ko yung training ko para umabot dito. Malamang dapat 10k is around 50 to 55 minutes to have a real shot at sub 2 21k

      • kaya lang base talaga sa stat daming di kakayanin ang sub 2.. pero isang malaking pagsubok ito sa mga runners at sa race organizer.. Sana ngayon taon na magkaroon ng sub 2 sa 21k.. tnx

    • A sub-2 21K is not a even a remote guarantee that you will even top 10 a 3K.
      Using common race time predictors, a sub-2 21K time will guarantee you roughly a 15min 3K. That is slooooow compared to the elites, or even your above-average runner.
      That won’t even get you in the top 10 consistently.
      It is far FAR easier to sub-2 a 21K than podium finish in 3K’s, 5K’s, and 10k’s.

      I know this by experience. I can sub-1:50 a 21K no problem but can barely do a sub-12min 3K.
      And the elites would consistently pull an 8min or 9min 3K.
      FML moment I tell you. :))

    • hmmm, solution ata dito ay yung threads na pinapamigay. meron sa 5k mark and dun sa malapit na sa finish line.

      • Agree, dapat tinitingnan muna eto ng mga staff bago sila magbigay ng medal…..

  26. Uhmm. Congrats pinoy fitness for this very successful event. I really had fun, and i think that’s the important part that everybody had fun. Sana lang meron pang ibang mag upload ng pictures kasi hindi ko pa nakikita sarili ko sa mga picture eh. Hahahahahahahaha… Para. Lang naman may remembrance. Thanks pinoy fitness.

    • Next time bago ka umuwi or bago mag simula ang race mag papicture ka na kagad sa mga volunteer na photographers.. :)

      then kapag actual race na, pwesto ka kagad sa tabi left or right kung nasaan yung photographer tapos pose ka ng kakaiba para picturan ka.. :)

    Thanks for the this great event. My first time on Sub 1 10K Challenge and I finished
    1:00:13. Didn’t get the medal though, was 13 seconds late hehehehhe. Its a personal best anyway :) Congrats and count me in already on next years event and will definitely bring a medal next time around…..

  28. ,,,very nice run indeed, especiaLLy if you’ve been reaLLy serious on your sub-1 training. whether you got it or not, if you’ve pLaced your heart on it, I wouLd congratuLate you either way. for me, I saw this run event as a cuLmination or graduation of my training to attain such goaL, and on this event, I’ve GRADUATED!

  29. sir Jeff, thank you for this challenging race. Getting a sub-1 in 10k is not a walk in the park, this entails training, heart and determination (plus, proper nutrition and enough sleep).
    Next time, I hope there would be a 21k sub-2 challenge, this is really not automatic, and conquering this feat would really be satisfying.
    As for the shield, I have nothing against you, I really do hope you’d change your alias though, because whenever I see the word “shield” incorporated with running, I always think of Patrick Conception, the Running Shield. Anyway, to everyone who bashes the shield, and to shield as well, let’s stop all this hate, because at the end of the day, it is ourselves that we are fighting, and it is the 7 inches between our 2 ears that we need to conquer, and we should not care about anything that others may say about us.
    To Pinoy Fitness, more power!

    • you’re correct @brownmamba, lets have unity. hehehe, btw , its a great honor to join the PF sub-1 10k challenge coz our team traveled 8Hours just to participate in the race. we don’t have any race like this in Bicol. -Bigg’s Diner Team

  31. Maraming salamat sa PF sa pagorganize ng ganitong concept nang race. Dahil dito nagkaroon ng mas matinding motivation ang mga runners at sense of accomplishment.

    Hydration – Wala ako sa posisyon para mag comment dito kasi isang beses lang akong uminom ng pocari at km5 pero napakasarap nung libreng pocari sa finish line lasang matamis na niyog sa panlasa ko. :)
    Distance – Tama po yung distance sa tignin ko. Gamit kong garmin registered at 9.96, soleus nang dalawang kasama ko 9.95 at 9.98. Nasa running app nyo po yan, makakaapekto din on how you run the tangents.

    sa tingin ko base sa statistics mas realistic and sub 30 na 5k category pero okay din ang sub 2 for 21k. O dikaya kung kaya ng budget two separate unique medals for sub1 and sub 50 10k finishers. Anything that will put some twist on the current challenge will be good.

  32. Awesome! Akalain mo yun nakatapos ako ng 1:02:05 galing ko talaga haha. First time ever nag 10K at sumali dito sobrang proud ako sa sarili ko. Nagkasakit ako ng 1week kaya hindi nakapag train at nagka stiff neck 2days before the race.. Napaiyak ako sa tuwa. Panay dasal habang tumatakbo dahil pangarap ko makatakbo sa PF Sub-110Challenge.

    Umabot sana ako sa finish line before an hour kaso yung traffic naka 3x napahinto dahil sa traffic na yun, geez! Eh di sana nakasungkit ako ng medalya tsk tsk. Di bale basta alam ko sa sarili kaya ko na kaya ko makipag sabayan kaya sobrang proud talaga ako sa sarili ko.. Well better luck next time! Hehe Thank you PF! More power!

  35. well, so much ado about distance (can’t help it), sa google map it’s around 10.2 km, starting point should have been at 9th ave corner Lane R instead of Lane S
    nice run, nice shirt, novelty idea about sub1, – well organised sana may energy drink along the race route, and also there should also be another timing platform at the middle of the race.

  37. Congrats to PF for this successful event for the second time! Beat my last year’s PR by 6 minutes!

    Although personally mas na enjoy ko last year na sub1 kasi maulan at mahangin. For me mas challenging kasi basa ang route at medyo madulas kaya medyo tough tumakbo lalo kapag alam mong basang basa ulo mo hanggang sapatos! LOL! I like more the medal this year with the finisher shirt!!!

    Next year ulit! Kita kits!
