  1. My first 21k run and it was worth it..although magulo sa first kilometer nagkumpulan ung mga tao kasi di maayos ang route at kulang sa marshalls para magguide. Other than that sulit pa rin sa dami ng freebies at ayos magcheer ang mga marshalls.

  2. Kudos to the organizer, wala ako masabi madami marhsall mababait pa, kahit yng mga nahuhuli dumating inantay nila sinasabayan pa nila pang boost lalo yng isang guy kahit mataba sya nandyan pa rin motivation para umabot sa finish line salodo ako sayo bro natapos mo rin definitely i will join next year.

    • ganyan din ako 2 years ago. i got cramps midway. naglalakad na lang ako pabalik mckinley hills to bgc… nagulat ako bigla na lang may nagpapalakpakan na sa likod ko hehe ayun sinabayan nila ako til i crossed the finish line :)

  3. all set was done nice, except for the 1st k sa 21k route, walang ilaw, sobrang sikip ng daan nagkumpulan lahat mabuti na lang at sana walang nadisgrasya, the route was nice and great nabasag ata ang tuhod ko at sumingaw ang baga ko sa uphill hehehe..at sana hindi inallowed mga bandit runners sobrang dami..tapos mattigas pa mga mukha nagagawa pang makipag agawan ng tubig sa mga registered runners..

  4. 21k
    Pros:
    – there are portions that are new routes for me.. Been running for 2 years.
    – nice weather
    – enthusiastic and always “cheering on” marshals
    – started on time
    – sufficient hydration
    – nice finishers shirt

    Cons
    – lighting along 8th ave and kalayaan flyover are far in between. most of the time, bright and blinding lights are facing the runners.

overall a good run. its not easy to organize a running event. more power to takbo.ph. and to pinoy fitness too; a good sport in the name of running :-)

  5. enjoyed the event.
isa sa mga organized event na napuntahan ko.
magaling din ang mga marshalls. talagang ineencourage pa nila ang mga runners, di lang sila basta nakatayo doon.
    natuwa ako sa shower.
on time din ang patakbo nila.
as always magaling maghost si bearwin “runtarantan” meily.
madaming hydration, iyon nga lang naubusan agad ng pocari. dapat bilis bilisan ko pa ang takbo ko.
    kudos to the organizers

  6. it was a nice run for me coz its my first sub2 21k run. kobe is right yung mga ilaw nakaksilaw di mo makita tinatakbuhan! sana walang nadisgrasya dahil dun.

  7. Kudos to Jinoe and to the organizers. It was my post birthday and first 21km run. Di nga lang ako umabot sa sub2. Nahuli ng 1minute. Anyway, yes, the first km was very dark. Yung mga imiikot din na marshalls na nakamotor medyo masakit sa ilong yung usok. Pwede siguro bike na lang gamitin nila. But overall, a very organized one.

  8. Pros:
    On time
    Good cheering from the marshalls
Organized in giving lootbags and finisher shirt
    Shower
    Many banana

    Cons:
Very dark on 1st km (me nadapa pa sa harap k sa sobra dilim)
Crowded on 1st km (kulang sa marshall)
Naubusan ng tubig in last 5-3km i think
Insufficient supply of pocari(Un fren k d nakakuha ng pocari dahl naubusan)

  9. CONGRATULATIONS to the Organizers. Good job. I just wanna inform you that my name was not listed in the Race Results, although I know my FT. I was not expecting to finished my 1st 10K run this year for 1:04. Please, please organizer paki confirm naman ang result ko. THANKS

  10. ei guys cno gusto mkipagpalit ng finisher shirt.. mine is medium I need large finisher shirt .. pls txt 09328427368 for meetup..tnx

  11. It was my first 21K run that I won’t forget. Just had 2hrs sleep since I party on Sat night @ Sofitel for the Masquerade Ball. It was a not so bad finish @ 2hrs40mins.

  12. Observations:

    – Tough 21k esp the last flyover. Talagang uubusin ang lakas mo.
    – Ample hydration. Bloated ako sa Pocari sweat.
    – Well-oriented marshals. They encourage, guide, and greet.
    – Poor lighting esp 1st km. May ilang natalisod kasi may portions sa kalsada na rough.
    – Lighting setup was blinding. Bulag ka paglampas mo sa ilaw.
    – Kinda disappointed w/ the medal – maliit, ordinary ribbon, sana red ribbon for the 21k.
    – overall, good job by the organizer.

  13. Calling Leadpack and Takbo.Ph please answer me and Mr Albert Pasicolan, what happened to our results. I registered early and even have my personalized bib. So I have a name. I am sure no 87 ako san10K without a name. That is unthinkable. I started running in 2009 and this is the first time that my name was not included. Please give us feedback.

  14. @VANGEE A. PALILEO
    @Albert Pasicolan
    @justrunning

Results are just partial and unofficial as stated. Pls be patient.

  15. Good Morning Leadpack…

This is at par the best run i ever joined. Great organizers! Great marshals! Great Weather! Every thing worth it…

Just the last part… After my 5KM run, I timed at around 30+minutes… (i was limping as I was on my way to the finish line due to a pain in my left ankle), Finally the smiling marshals welcomed me at the finish line. They congtratulated me and gave me my medal.. and away I attended the event (went from booth to booth) pictures with my friends.. after 2 hours, raffle was drawn, we called it a day, event finished. happy with the run.1 of my friend noticed that the marshals didnt take my time chip in my bib.I asked should they? I hurried back to the marshals and politely they said sorry but promised to ensure my time is correct.. unfortunately… it didnt.. it showed 2 hours and 32 minutes… can it still be fixed? (nothing important just if puwede…) salamat! great run!!!

  16. Kudos to the organizers. It was a well-manned (and well-dressed, loved the officials’ orange shirt) and organized run. The route for the 21k was particularly tougher than usual due to the abundance of inclined portions and the 2 flyovers to boot, but the cheer of your race officials, organized water/pocari sweat stations (and the ever timely bananas too) made up for it in scores.

Perhaps the only thing that I didn’t like was the lighting during the start of the 21k race. There was a dude who tripped on one of the wires of the lights and everything went dark. (also, try to use 4300K lights next time and not the bluish-white ones, the incandescent-colored lights are better for your eyes over asphalt and especially when moving quickly, e.g. running).
I saw one or two people actually stumbling down on the road.
That and the huge amount of people who placed themselves at the front of the pack whilst maintaining a rather slow pace (isn’t it supposed to be an unwritten rule that you should stay on the back of the starting lines when YOU KNOW you ain’t gonna go at it hard?) contributed to a rather dismal pace for me for the first kilometer.
I lost around 3 minutes from my actual pace there. Ugh.

Freebies were good, medals and loot bag awesome, Bearwin was such a great host, photos and video (teaser) heartwarming, I wore my finisher’s shirt after the race ever so proudly so yeah, I think I can honestly say that I enjoyed the race.

    Keep up the good work!

  17. Great Race.. Nice finisher shirt, lots of hydration, very tough route (based on my nike+ It’s almost 25km, so many uphill and the 2 flyover was very challenging). will definitely join again next year to this event..

  18. the results are already out, just want to request if you could post the winners in each categories particulalrly the 5K for males, since i left early after the race,
