  1. congrats to the organizers! i liked event. i had a hard time running around the oval though because it was being prepared for asphalting but aside from that it was still a good run. got a good tour of diliman too. i’ll join again next year!

  2. I had fun running 15k, my thumbs up(UP) to the organizers, hydration areas are adequate, Marshall’s are helpful and attentive to show you which way you should go so wont get lost and especially the free hard boiled eggs the booster energy breakfast. God bless!

  3. gulo ng registration sa Riovana BGC. April 30 nagpunta kami, wala pa daw. Bumalik kami May 16, wala na daw.
Nung onsite registration, closed na daw.
So bandit runners na lang kami sa 3k.

  4. my first 15k run, as in never pako nagpractice for 15k. good result kasi sa 10k run ko nung saturday kaya nagdecide ako to join 15k.

masaya and satisfied with my time to think na this is my first. naikot ko din ang up diliman ang lawak pala.. at malamig kasi dami puno… congrats runners and organizers… c u next yr,

  5. So far ok naman.nabigla lang ako sa finishers medal.dinikitan nlng ng sticker instead of embossing it sa plate.hindi tuloy mgnda. :(
anyways, thankyou and congratulations to all of us! :)

  6. event was fun and organized had a time para mag stroll sa up campus. water supply is good but next time malamig sana yung water para nakakatangal uhaw. but just notice that parang walang mga photographer and medic station?

  7. It was a nice run although there were hitches. In my case, I got a bit confused in the science area because of the lack of marshals. I almost got lost following other runners who obviously already lost their way. Lesson here, study the map carefully. Although in some events, the map route isn’t exactly followed. Also, it would really help to put traffic cones or signage. They were lacking in the science area where the 1st lap of the 10k and 15k took place. However, in other places, marshals where alive, alert and with megaphones even.

Funny because examining the map, I immediately noticed the science departments. I run regularly at UP Diliman but seldom go in that area. “What you think, you become”. I kept on telling myself I will or might get lost there. And that’s what exactly happened to me!

The thing about run events in UP, loops cannot be avoided because UP may be big but it is compact. So chances are, runners will be passing by the same roads. The intersections became a bit tricky for marshals as well. They have to spot who goes where. Besides the science department, I almost lost my way again. In one of the intersections wherein the 10k runners converge and should separate from the 5k runners, I almost ran towards the path of the 5k runners. To the other 10K runner who spotted me and told me I’m running the wrong way, THANK YOU!

The event took place at a time when the road re-asphalting of UP academic oval isn’t complete yet. There were portions wherein the roads are rough, most especially infront of Palma Hall where the start/finish line is.

At the finish line, I had to ask the marshal my ranking because I wasn’t able to beat my PR. She was a bit embarrassed to tell me that I lost the race as there were a lot of really fast runners who already crossed the finish line. I laughed a bit and told her I wasn’t gunning on 1st place. I just wanted to know my ranking. When I found out my ranking, I was happy because it was within my expectations.

It’s my first time to receive half-dozen fresh eggs as contents of my loot bag. At least I have 1 item in my grocery list written off! hehehe I appreciate the hard-boiled eggs as well. (What’s with the poultry products!?)

Photo op courtesy of some celebrities there like Ramon Bautista (laugh trip indeed), Japoy Lizardo, and of course, Coach Rio.

Overall, the event was satisfactory. Kudos to the organizers.

  8. mali yung nbigay na singlet sakin..Medium ung kinuha ko XS ung binigay skin hahaha ang laki laki ko haha..anyway i had so much fun ang laki ng UP..naligaw nga lng aq papunta but still worth it nmn…Thanks to the organizers..

  9. First time to attend a run in UP and it was indeed fun! It was relatively a cool morning plus the route was mostly covered by acacia trees. I was impressed that there was a warm up before the run. Di tulad ng ibang run na tatakbo ka na lang. Wala na sila paki kung naka-warm up ka o hindi. There were enough hydration stations and runners were guided by the Marshals. May part lang talaga na nakakalito. There were also no signages as to how many kilometers you’ve already covered. Buti na lang familar ako sa area. Overall, it was a success! It was small event but it was very well participated. Congrats to Miggy Camacho and the organizers of Pace UP! I am joining again next year! Go UP fight!

wala lang.. 2nd time ko palang kc ngagamit eh.. good for two runs lang hydration belt ko.. 100/day kaya php200..hahaha

  11. I enjoy my run this event..more faster than previous run and training but this run is not 15K it took about 10.7 miles = 17KM.. on my Nike+ … but its cool nice trail…a little bit uphills…:)

  12. Congratulations to the organizers of PACE UP!

I hope to get my XL or 2XL sized singlet.

    Nice run for me.

  13. meron po bang extrang singlet? pede po ba magpareplace? XS kasi yung nakuha ko super liit pala… or kung hindi possible magpareplace baka pdeng bumili nalang ng extrang singlet na bigger ang size and mas mura syempre… thanks…

  14. I just had a little problem in my route, sa 5k ako kasali tapos nung malapit na kami sa finish line hinarang kami ng marshal dapat daw umikot pa kami sa magsaysay ave. pero ang naalala ko nakaikot na kmi dun nung first loop. So sayang yung oras namin na nageexplain instead of running towards the finish line. But in general, the race was ok, it was fun and kahit paano nakaikot ako sa U.P. Diliman. Next year baka sumali ang wife ko.

  15. enjoy the run.. di expected na matatapos ko ng maayos yung run. nilagnat ako ng nagtrain ng 24k at 7k walk a day before PACE UP… butina lang ok pa din yung result ng takbo ko.. kaya lang hanggang ngayong msama pa din ang pakiramdam ko hayssssssssssssssss……………..

    • ako rin medyo sumama pakiramdam after ng 15k run… first time kasi and walang praktis… ang pinapraaktis ko kasi 10k. pero yung biinti and likod lang naman sumakit ng konti. tuesday ok nako…

      rest well mga sirs..

  16. How come my bib number is not reflecting on the race results? Grabe, yung ibang naunahan ko their name reflects on the race results but mine is NOT!
