  1. Just my own comment

    Opening ceremony Great fireworks
hydration Medyo Kulang specially sa 18th u turn
    Banana ok
    Medal ok
    Finisher Shirt for 18k ok
before the finish line end hindi mo na alam kung asan na ung race road dahil wala makita puro sasakyan
eto pa badtrip ang loot bag nyo bakit before the race tsaka nyo pinamigay kakaiba, nagtanong pa nga ako sa nagrereceive sa baggage counter kung pwede ba kumuha ng loot bag after the race sabi nya Yes, pagbalik ko wala na daw….

    Timing chip mukhang accurate naman

    my overall rating is 6/10

  2. Hydration was sufficient although hindi malamig yung tubig. I ran 18k and i bumped into some 3k and 5k runners dahil medyo congested na yung street. But overall, it was a fun run.

  3. Indeed it was tricky weaving through the traffic of 3K and 5K runners, many of whom were actually just walking. :)

  4. only thing i can complain is the last run going to finish line. what happened? pinatakbo nyo kame sa gutter area. while ung kalsada napuno ng naka park na kotse. but overall, the race was good. the marshalls are attentive. hydration is plenty di nga lang malamig.

  5. CONGRATS to all the participants and organizers of PHILHEALTH run here in malolos, it was a superb and very well organized funrun. we do all enjoy the race. Next year ulit

  7. Anyone else who ran the 18km course have the course run long? Not sure if it was all the weaving around slower runners/walkers particularly after the 2nd U-turn, but my GPS watch had the total run distance at 19.2km. Ditto the complaints about the last part of the course. Also, the organizers could have set up water tables on both sides of the course. I literally barreled into and knocked over one runner who decided to run into oncoming traffic (me) at the last second to grab water without looking. Sorry about that dude, but you can’t do something like that without checking for oncoming runners.

  8. gun start – ok. on-time for long distance categories.

route – ok from KM. 0 to KM. 5 though katakot ung half lane na open from buendia kaso but heading back to finish line (from 5K u turn), FAIL, congested ng walkers at naging parking lot ang katigbak drive.

freebies – long line, kaya certificate na lang kinuha ko then alis

    overall – 7/10

Freebies, 2 thumbs up! Ang dami! though di ako nakakuha lahat.
Prizes – 2 thumbs up rin! though wala ako nakuha.
This is my first 5k run.

    7/10

  10. First time runner po. No idea about the loot bags, and hindi rin nakakuha nung cert. 5k run, pero my gps said 5.5km, which i guess is ok. Maybe the runners should have been divided into waves kasi ang dami talaga.

  11. its a nice fun run, nothing special but not much to complain.. thanks philhealth..

first time to run in roxas blvd., ganun b tlga ung usual course sa roxas blvd.? one bound lng tlga ung pinapatakbuhan? mciado kasi masikip pag ngkabalikan.. pano kaya sa OFW run cgurado mdami participant dun..

  12. bkt sa pampanga ala din finisher shirt at loot bags? buti na lang me medal. first tym k tumakbo sa clark field and ang gandang tumakbo dto. fresh air like sa nuvali.

  13. Ou nga bat s clark wla finisher shirt at lootbag medyo nagkulang pa s hydration, though mei jollibee food! I guess yun ang pampalit nila s finisher shirt awwww!

  14. First time to run in provincial area particularly in greenfield City, Sta.Rosa, Laguna.. It started earlier kaya late kami naka-start sa 18k category.. Maybe the time of the organizers was advanced???? Anyway, we were able to cope up with the other runners… So not much an issue… My concern is kulang sa lightings all-throughout the route of the 18k category… Super dilim while we were running since we started before 5am… Super usok din because of the vehicles passing on the other lane especially the big buses around… Grabe magbuga ng usok… Nahirapan tuloy huminga lalo ang mga runners… On our halfway route, medyo naging crowded na ang lane… Mix runners na (3k, 5k, 10k & 18k)… And on the finish line, medyo nalito kami where to end our run kasi walang nakalagay which lane is for the 18k category.. As to giveaways, overall ok..we never expected the finisher’s shirt kaya natuwa kami for that.. As to other lootbags like DLSUMC, mahaba ang pila because each runner has to log in sa FB acct and like the DLSUMC FB account before they give their lootbags..

    Overall rating : 6/10

  15. @Manilaraf I agree…. i ran the 3k as a sponsor and my GPS registered 3.5k at the finish line. Guessing all the distances were not accurate.

It was nuts having to run along the gutter and through the huge group doing morning aerobics. Almost rammed into a few women!

I also don’t understand the logic of giving the loot bags before the race. Isn’t that an incentive for those who actually finished the race?

Overall, I’m just happy my employees and I were able to participate in the race as support for Philhealth and their programs.

  16. it was suppose to be an average fun run for me but i didn’t get too see any portalets along the race track plus i have the trouble looking for the finish line. therefore, you guys failed.

  17. i salute to the organizer, may mga konting discrepancies pero nakalimutan ko when I saw Asst. Sec. Tayag running and dancing on the stage for a special number. I am 80% satisfied.

  18. bakit nagmukhang obstacle course ung last turn??? in all category… bakit nyo nilagay sa ruta na may mga batibot and vendor at nag e-aerobic??? ilan ung nakita kong muntik nang madapat

  20. MANILA LEG is okay!

GOOD JOB philhealth for giving us the chance to run simultaneously nationwide! more power.

  23. I ran in Greenfield City,Sta. Rosa. The firework is great upon the start of the race. Medyo advance nga sa actual time yung gun start ng 3 minutes on my watch tama yung nag comment parang advance yung watch ni race organizers but the fireworks and the place is really great. The intensity is great.

I give this Philhealth Run -Sta. Rosa run a 95%.

  24. It was announced that this marathon will be simultaneously started with other marathons in the country. 5am yung Assembly Time ng 10k sa Greenfield, Sta. Rosa tapos 5:30am yung Gun Start. Iba ata ang time zone nung ibang lalawigan sa pinas.

There were no lights to guide the path nor were there any signages. May naabutan pa nga akong nag-18k na naliligaw at nagmumura na. I finished the 10k race without incident and found out na nauna pa ako dun sa mga mas mabilis sakin. Wala ring harang. Walang sumita sa akin and I had no idea.

    I give 70% out of 100%

  26. PhilHealth Run Malolos…. Thanks sa organizers at bumuo nito everything turn out fine…from route, medics, volunteers, security, loot bags, medal, certificate, jollibee food pero teka my finisher shirt? bakit kami wala?

  27. @che che ou nga e. i never expect that philhealth will release finisher shirt. ang alam ko lng may finisher medal. pero thats ok. im fine with medal. :)

  29. I was one of the finisher for 18k-Laguna leg. Awesome water shower in the last km of 18km. Saya mabasa sa pump ng BUMBERO.I enjoyed the fireworks and yes the event host and usherretes are also beautiful..

I’m looking forward to run again in greenfield. I have a finisher too.PROUD TO BE 18km FINISHER.

  30. The Laguna Leg was a blast.

  33. I hope 2 days after ng event mapost na ang result just like the other running event system..hopefully accurate ang result..nakakahinayang lng kung pati ba naman sa result e sablay..

  34. batangas run dami sablay..gun time di nasunod..as early as 0448H nagpatakbo na kayo..dami naiwan..ayaw pa markahan bib ng gusto humabol..mga marshal natutulog sa pansitan..

No such thing as a “3k marathon”, “5k marathon”, “10k marathon” o “18k marathon.” =)

  36. much better run than ENVIRO RUN..Medics dont know what is LINIMENT im the one who suffer from leg pain so i go to the medics but.. when i ask the medic if they have a liniment their answer is a bigNO!

  37. Philhealth Run Manila 2013.. Nice fireworks, route, smiling marshalls, nice event. May finisher’s shirt, medal, and certificate.

Kasama ako sa last batch ng 18k finishers. After the last loop board sign wala nang marker para sa finish line. Nakatago pala yung finish line along the trucks malapit sa “parking lot”.

For early runners, eto privilege ng sumusunod sa ASSEMBLY TIME. Dami kasi FILIPINO TIME followers e.. Hehe

Pero its all about running for a cause kaya ayos lang.
    Rating 7/10

  38. prayers to one of the runner who died today..he was my co-worker..he’s last run was philhealth run..he died of heart failure because of over fatigued..both from work and training…God Bless us all runners!

  39. I only thing I got is the Medal for 18K fisnihers but when I asked the marshall where is the other giveaways she told me to go to the information which I was not able to see kasi ang gulo ng booth nila.

Anyway, sulit naman kasi its for cause and a donation daw on part of philhealth organization. Thank you davao for my first experience 18k run.

  42. Laguna Leg is a BLAST daming runners along the route.hehehe. agap namin sa venue kasi around 1am andun na kami.

I saw the preparation from 1 am until morning.tama yung comment sa taas parang runrio ang set-up.

Our will and determination to finish may be very strong but if your body can’t take it, it could prove fatal.

My RULES OF THUMB in Running:

    1. One rule of thumb I strictly follow is to never run a race if I haven’t run 80-85% of the distance in practice, 2-4 weeks before the actual race (e.g. run 18K in practice 2 weeks before running a 21K; 8K for a 10K race; 36K, 4 weeks before a 42K race).

    2. Another rule of thumb I follow is not to run all out or run at a much faster pace than my practice runs. My race pace is only 5 to 15 seconds faster than my LSD runs. So if my 18K pace in practice is 6:30 I will ran 21K at 6:15 to 6:25 (or even slower if there are several uphill sections along the race route.) Being a “slow but steady” (SBS) runner I usually finish races relatively fresh with some energy to spare because I never go all out (yet I still finish in the top 20-40%). I also recover quickly, without muscle soreness the day after a long race (despite being in my mid-40s and only a little over a year of running experience).

    3. A third rule I follow is to always listen to my body during a run (whether in practice or in a race) to avoid serious or fatal injuries. I slow down, walk or stop running if I feel something is not right.

To me it’s better to run smart than fast! I think, you should, too!

I saw different personalities like the Philhealth Executives nila before the fireworks. I salute also the people behind Philhealth Laguna Run. I had a chance to have picture with the host na girl also and take a shot at the back of the fireworks. Astig balik ako sa next race. 18km naman.

  45. Congratulations to Nationwide Philhealth Run 2013 sana meron ulit next year. I ran a number of times in Greenfield at as usual the rourte is good in my expectation.

Water & hydration is plenty. Bananas are plenty I ate banana 3 times yata.

Didn’t expect na sobrang saya sa ruta with my friends.Uultin ulit namin ang run sa greenfield next year. Thumbs up sa Laguna Run.

Love my picture na basang basa sa daan in the last 1.5 km.

  49. Condolence to the family of Mr. William.

To all runners! “ALAGAAN” at “INGATAN” natin ang atin kalusugan OK!
God Bless Us All Runners! Run/ Train SAFE and NO INJURY!

    P.S. LOVE YOU ALL RUNNERS!

Anayway.. I ran at Quirino Grandstand..

  51. Philhealth Run 2013 in Cebu? Not so organized. Only one booth to distribute food to a single queue of 3000 participants at hindi sinunod ang guntime printed sa mga race route handouts.

  52. kaya nga lootbag tawag don e, sabi meron pero nawala, (joke)! first-timer ang maraming angal… and come on guys, its a FUN RUN, what’s more important is that you contributed to the cause while having some fun

  55. It’s already thursday..where’s your RACE RESULTS?

  58. @kaiserjoey and manilaraf – Haha. My apologies for the wrong term. An honest mistake that I wrote “marathon” instead of “fun run” or just simply “run.” Anyway, with regards to that post, nag-announce pala sa FB page five days prior na ia-advance ng 15minutes yung start time. Too bad none of my friends saw it as well. LOL

  59. It’s been a week after the run last Sunday sa Greenfield pero hindi mawala sa isip ko ang enjoyment ng mga friends ko na tumakbo from Quezon going to Greenfield.Sulit ang aming 1st 10k running together although medyo naging matagal kami but first time ko makasali sa run na madaming pinamimigay na mga freebies. The same runs here in Quezon Province parang Quezon Run din yung Philhealth pero the good thing is mas malaki yung event last Sunday.
