  1. disappointed with the run, its not even well organized, full of traffic, :( they said there will be water paint,? where is that? wow just simply words!

  2. Magulo tlaga!!! Tsktsktsk! What a waste… Masaya but shud have been a lot more fun if its done the right way. Wala tlaga ako masabi kundi thank you na lang…

  3. I agree with amateurmark and jonell. I was really disappointed with the run. Tapos di ba dapat may 5 glow sticks each runner? Paano nangyari yun? The traffic was so bad as well. I didn’t pay 850php just for the glow shades, shirt and medal. I came there to have fun but I didn’t. :|

  4. I agree with the other commenters. Very unorganized and the description of the run was innacurate in regards to bands playing along the route and water colors. So much traffic, may not be a good idea to hold these runs at 9PM on a weekend. I also felt the hosts were not very professional or knew much of what they were doing, considering she read off the paper and held it in front of her face

  5. Quite disappointed. I was actually looking for the “color” in the Colormanilaniterun. The only color there was the glowsticks, which most of us even bought ourselves because the ones with the glasses didn’t even glow. Honestly, I prefer the first one because it was funner in the sense that it was cheaper, more organized, more festive, way more color, and it was just funner. I’d also just like to know if most of the 850 was used for the fireworks, which a lot of the people didn’t really see…. Actually, many people were actually walking out of the ‘party’ just a while after the fireworks ended. And the large glowstick things that they gave was even very very very bitin in comparison to the whole crowd because every was just looking for some color. and lastly, what happened to all the hype about it having colored water and such? D:

  6. Di man lang ni re route ang mga koche, kaya you have to stop at some intersections to give way to motorists. Bakit nagkaganun? This is the most disorganized event na nasalihan ko.

  7. this is the 2012-13 lakers of all running events. all hype no substance.
    mahal 850
early registrants di nabigyan ng shades and glowsticks
    traffic control
    no lootbags

  10. This was my first nite run ever, I thought there will be more colors. I was not able to join the first Color Manila Run last Jan due to injury and was envy to those who did. :( I was waiting for more colors last night but unfortunately the liquid colors that was said to be used in the run didn’t happen. And just want to emphasize the hydration was all messed up! Fun party though!

  11. total disappointment…maraming madilim n route walang ilaw man lang..sana binigyan n lang ng maraming maraming glowstick para may ilaw nmn…and true nagsimula n ang fireworks and program just minutes after 1 hour n nag start ang 10k andami pang tumatakbo nun…magulo kasi andaming salubungan ng 3k 5k and 10k…wala yung water paint…well kasi hindi daw nakagawa ng EDIBLE n water ay baka may makainom…hmmmtoo expensive for 850, wala akong nakuhang give away :(

  12. No timing
    No Bib
    No Color Paint
    No lights along the route
    No loot bag
    No traffic management
    No Beneficiary

Where did my money go? 850 for a 3K? 5000 runners. That’s close to 5M.

    VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.

  13. not so much of a fun run. hindi nila sinarado ng maayos ung daanan. medyo swapang din ung mga kumukuha ng glow sticks.

  14. This event was the worst fun run I ever joined.
    1. the advertising was misleading. It was all lies and false advertising.
    2. there was no more drinks left for us at 10k hydration when we finished our 10k run. Naubusan daw.
    3. the printing on the shirt was bad.
    4. we weren’t provided with glow sticks dahil namimigay kahit kanino, kahit madami na ung iba binibigyan pa din kaya nawalan kami.
    5. upon claiming our bag, because they just put masking tape on it, it dropped somewhere and it gave us a hard time looking for our bag. Same with the girl who was also in line. She was also looking for her bag.
    6. Very unsafe for the runners. No electrolytes at the hydrating stations, tapos dami pa intersections. We wre running with cars beside us.
    7. very expensive. I did not get my money’s worth.

  15. dissapointed by this time… buti pa yung mga nag register on site may mga glow stick agad… kaming mga early registrant walang napala hehehe. i know it is just a glow stick… pero you should have do and plan the distribution better.. hindi yung parang mga nag aagawan ng relief goods kaming mga runners. and the route wow super… some of the runners muntik ng madapa or maaksidente dahil nakikipagkarera sa mga sasakyan. this is the first time that i run side by side with the vehicle. meron pang isang runner na muntik madapa because nabangga sya sa orange cone marker. hope the organizer could do better next time.. because they do it from better to worse… if talking about color manila run 1 and 2..

Kainis yung need huminto for the vehicles =| anyways mas maala pa din ung Enviro Run ahahaha

  18. Sabi may band and some surprises sa route…

you guys we’re expecting for the water paint?
kaya nga tinawag n “COLOR” nite run ehh.
isipin nyo nga! panu nyo mkkta at ma-aappreciate ung water paint sa gabi. wew!

  20. nice… P850 not worth it! ang gulo!!!! wala man lang energy drink sa hydration!!! talo pa ng mga provincial run!!!! wala akong glow stick…ampangit ng print ng shirt!!! di ako nagenjoy!!!!

Saan napunta yung 850? Hindi namin maintindihan… We thought it was gonna be fun and it’s worth it. Pero hindi pala. Mejo magulo rin ang organizers. Yung water stations ang lalayo ng agwat. I didn’t like the route pa kasi it was hard for me to breath lalo na doon sa part na maraming sasakyan.

  22. My thoughts:

Yung hydration for the 5K, mukhang ok naman.

Third, was the traffic.

With the previous comments, mukhang wala rin nangyari na ganon.

Bottomline: I did enjoy the run, but it was kind of disappointing kasi I was expecting something better than this.

  23. superganda nite run, first ever nangyari dito sa manila, sana may part 2, lahat na mga bad comment, or good comment proactive team the best pa rin para sa amin,

  24. @Kenneth Cortes: You could’ve said something better than “bobo”. That water paint was supposedly part of the event and it is called GLOW WATER. That would’ve been the highlight of the event together with the glow sticks/glow glasses/glow items. Have you seen the first Color Manila Run? We were expecting something like that.

  25. I’m a lil bit disappointed too due to lack of hydration, lack of glow stick. Yung mga signage for the km parang ang gulo din. di alam kung kkaliwa ba or turning ryt. mas maganda pa yung Color Manila Run last Jan. 2013. Ang mahal pa man din ng bayad.

  26. THE RUN uses the word “run for a cause ” ?
but u forgot also the needs of the runners! NAIsahan tayo ng organizer! Pulang marka ka na sa akin

Garapal

  28. Congrats to all of us guys!! Especially sa mga nakarami ng glowstick ( I registered so early last January, 3x kami pinabalik sa registration site to get our shirt) then on the night of the event I don’t have a glow shades and only got 3 glow sticks. I did enjoy the run, kasi malamig, hindi maalikabok. T’was nice pero disappointing nga talaga compared to the 1st color run. It supposed to top the 1st one pero hindi. Mas mahal pero walang wents.. Haaaist!

I was expecting something like this:

    https://www.neonsplashdash.com/tag/the-color-run/

    and this:

    https://colorfunfest.com/#page-1

it’s not worth the 850php.. especially kung commercial run lang.. may cause ba to?? Baka naman meron.. :)

  29. kaya di ako nagregister kc naexperience n nmin ung ganyang kagulong event nung color manila run. from baggage deposit hanggang sa baggage claiming. medyo ok lng nung time n un kc umaga at alam mo kung san ka pupunta after. unlik this event n gbe pa… anyway congrats na lang lahat sa inyo kc naka survive kayo sa event na to.

  30. So dissapointed..

  31. Kakalungkot kasi sa kabila ng mga not so good comments about sa shirt at glow sticks… Tsk tsk tsk

  32. I was looking forward to the “glow water” that was advertised and promised. My friends and I passed two water stations and still no color. We figured then that there probably wasn’t going to be any. Oh well, we thought. At least the glowsticks were pretty. And judging from the comments, I guess it was a good idea that my friends and I bought our own tube of glowsticks before the run. @-)
Also, there was SO MUCH HATE from the motorists, it was crazy! Thinking it was a night run in BGC, I had thought that the route would be similar to that of Outbreak Manila which went through the parts of BGC with little to no motorists. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I had fun, sure, but I preferred the first Color Manila Run. Hoping for a better organized run in the future, Proactive!

  33. I hope to see pics of the people running not PARTYING!!!! They only took the photos of the party. Should’ve organized a street party instead of a fun run!

  34. my friends and i had so much fun during the first color manila run kya when they announce na magkakaron ng color manila NITE run i automatically registred ASAP kahit na nga pinaka mahal na ung price sa mga run na sinalihan ko.. i even made kulit to my other friends and family to join which they agreed kasi nakita naman nila how fun it was last Jan.. only to be DISSAPOINTED on the nite run! ang daming false advertisements, tapos wlang markers ng KM kaya madaming natagalan, sobrang layo ng hydration points, naubusan pati ung tinimpla na lng na juice et al.. in short madaming hindi nasunod sa mga sinabi nyoPROACTIVE.. i was excited pa nmn only to be dismayed in the end.. ako pa tuloy ang nahiya sa mga nahatak ko sa run dahil na rin sa mga negative feedback nila… tsk.. now i’m hesistant if i should join the next color run again… nkaka walang gana tlga…

  35. puro negative comments nmn.. pero nag enjoy din nmn kayo.. so glow water at glowy things lang ba magpapa satisfy sa inyo? bakit di kayo nagdala ng sarili nyong hydration? maraming previous runs n ganto nangyari.. kung na experience nyo ung, bakit di pa kayo natuto.. isipin nyo n lang na tumakbo tyo for a cause like evry runs n cnasalihan natin.. tignan nyo mga sarili nyo pics.. eh mas mukhang enjoy pa kayo kesa sa ibang runners na di nagsasalita aginst the run..

  36. Pledge to Do Better

First of all we would like to thank everyone who joined Color Manila Nite Run last Feb 23, 2013.

To those who are not new in the running community and have joined previous Proactive Sports races, you know that we value each and every runner and we take pride in polishing the small details of our events. We try our very best to always add something new to make the event more interesting.

This year we started with Color Manila Run where we threw colored powder on runners along the route. We tested it and got the assurance that the ingredients used are food grade and with great confidence we proceeded in using the product. We had positive feedback and almost zero incidents.

For Color Manila Nite Run, once again we tried our very best to try to create another unique event. We aspired to mount a running event on a Saturday night and use glow stick and glow water. The glow water which was supposed to be distributed at the activity area would be used by our participants to throw in the air as the fireworks are set off. This was supposed to be one of the highlights of the Color Manila Nite Run.

It was a good plan, but the chemical used for the glow water can cause skin allergy; it is said to be safe, but with the thousands of participants involved I don’t have the luxury of taking risks. I made a last minute call to do away with the glow water and proceed with glow lights instead.

As an organizer sometimes we have to make some unpopular decisions and I just hope that someday you find it in your heart to forgive me. This is not the first time I’ve been put a tough situation, but my decision making is always based on “safety first.”

Having said that, as a runner, I personally have seen (yes, I join all my races) how 34th Street wasn’t properly managed and also acknowledge that there was a shortage of hydration at the start & finish area.

It is our primary responsibility to ensure the safety of all our participants and we have fallen short in those areas; same goes for registration and claiming.

I have spent the past few days reflecting on all the necessary adjustments we need to make for our upcoming events; rest assured we will be quick to improve.
For those who took the time to voice out your concerns on our Facebook page and PinoyFitness, we consider you our most adored runners, because that is how we learn; again I am humbled by everyone’s constructive criticism.

In the service of man, for the glory of God,

    -Jay Em
Color Manila Nite Run Race Director

  38. There you go… just what we needed. Thank you very much for that Mr. Jay Em. Next time pa-inform kami ahead of time kung ano man yung mga last minute changes para hindi kami nageexpect and sana may ibang freebies na lang kayo naibigay in exchange of that glow water.
