One of the most organized run of the year.Kahit dinumog ng runners, enjoy pa din. Finisher’s shirts are good material and everyone gets the size they want. Umaapaw din sa water and gatorode, may banana pa after the run.

Congrats Nike organizers, maayos ang baggage claiming and Finishers tee claiming, pero perennial problem lack of discipline pa rin in terms of basura like cups and banana peel , nagkalat na nga grabage and even staff na me hawak na garbage bags…

Thanks Nike! It was worth the registration fee (great run, water bottle, dri fit shirt and a good quality finisher’s shirt). Satisfied participant here. Although late nagstart by 15mins, it was very organized considering 12k joined.

Was among the last pack of the crowd.. Saw bandit runners getting water and a powerade – whole bottle pa sa may macapagal near the gas station. Since medyo nsa huli kami, my guy friend didn’t get his assigned finisher shirt size which was S.. So we ended with L . Mas maganda nga quality ng sa mens vs womens! Direcho lang ang tako, walang pasikot sikot vs bgc

Grabe, isa ‘to sa pinakamagandang race na nasalihan ko so far. Maganda ang hydration, maganda ang race route. Tas after run, meron pang photo booth, free massage, free food at concert. Good Job! Nasa’n na yung mga nagsasabing ‘di magiging worth it ang run na ito? :D

At first I was nervous upon reading some comments na magulo daw…but with my experience today-IT WAS AWESOMEa and FUN!with the big number of runners it was indeed organized event:)

perfect na sana kung ung sizing ng technical shirt is same dun sa finishers shirt… saktong sakto sakin ung small na finisher shirt where as ung tech shirt is maluwag… anyway. good run…buti n lang less than an hour lang ako, wala pang masyadong hassle sa village… nakapag pa photobooth pa. ayos.

The only downside is, family members aren’t allowed to enter the activity area, unlike the other previous runs, and maybe next time, they could increase the number of photobooths to avoid long queues, since the registration fee is kinda pricey. more power! :)

I beg to disagree. Sulit dahil sa race kit and finishers shirt. Pero organize??? From the start palang dapat ginawa nilang isang street ang starting line. 2nd nun simula hindi naririnig yun emcee sa malayo. Tas 1st 100 lang may medal pano yun 5-10min na walakthon bago nakapag start nang run hindi ba unfair yun?.. Yun sa photobooth ang ganda nang pila biglang pinalipat nag singitan tuloy mga tao. During the run may kotse pasalubong sa runner. And by the time pabalik ka na ang sikip sobra dahil may mga kasalubong kang runner.. Anyway sulit lang talaga dahil sa shirt but organize hindi talaga..

Agree with everyone else. Well organized run. Coach Rio was very hands on in terms of ensuring that everything is in the right place both on the actual route and during the finisher shirt claiming. Was at first hesitant to join because of all the negative comments about last year’s event but I’M GLAD I decided to join this run…

There’s always a 2nd chance and the organizers (Nike and RunRio) did one hell of a great job! SUPER SULIT!

My say regarding the Nike Race Village is that since there were obviously lack of photo booth, they should have at least set up several tarps with the event logo just like the RU series for photo ops.

Other than that, KUDOS and Congratulations to the event organizers and all the RUNNERS! =)

I agree sa suggestion na sana by wave ang start. Parang patintero tuloy at ang daming naglalakad at sumikip lalo ang route lalo na ng pabalik na. At sana dinamihan ang mga photo booths. Ang daming sumisingit,

Naintindihan naman ng wife ko bakit di siya nakapasok sa loob ng race village unlike sa ibang events. Thumbs up at walang hassle sa pag claim ng finisher’s shirt. Overall sulit ang registration fee naman but thinking twice in running this event again next year at hirap maka PR.

Sobrang sulit sa over, first Nike We Run MNL event ko and i got a place to be in the top 100 at syempre may medal ako woot woot :-)

first time to join NIKE Run .. and my first time to run 10K.. what an experience!!.. very organized .. yun nga lang dami nagkalat na mga plastic cups sa mga water stations… but everything is really worth the reg fee… ganda ng tumbler, race shirt and finishers shirt… cant wait for the next NIKE RUN!! It’s really more FUN RUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!!! :-)

medyo wala ako sa kondisyon pero na enjoy ko tong takbong to! just by seeing fellow runners conquering the whole road gave me the creeps and the runners high! sa halagang 800 pesos, what more could i ask for? i got 2 nike shirts, plastic bottle, and an unforgettable experience! sure yan, WE OWNED THE ROAD! good job everyone!

It was indeed an organized event. Good Job again RUNRIO! a bottle of viva and powerade are just enough to replace our lost water and electrolytes. The running shirt and finisher shirt are AWESOME! plus the water bottle from NIKE. I’ll definitely run again next year. and hope it will be the same price. :D see you all again next year. Hope RUN RIO will organize the same event next year :)

Nice run and well organized , nga lang lack of photographer to catch our smile during the run , bad for me wearing new shoe’s that I got from my next race, it’s just feel uncomfortable . . .

Maraming Bandits, they were even staging near the starting line. 3 photobooths only. But overall Nice run. I Let my son wear the F-shirt so that he may enter the runner site just to buy some shawarma,gutom na siya. Suggest Wave 1 Wave 2 , to avoid traffic, more different K runs. My son also wears Nike products why no run for him and other kids for them to enjoy.
On the lighter side, has anybody seen MY WAY, no not Frank Sinatra, a Korean movie about a Marathoner, it’s Amazing, Fantastic, Recommended. That is if you like reading subtitle, First part so-so, but the mid to the last just beautiful. Get It, pirated, download or original.. Get it! GET IT!!!

Maraming sumali dito na halata namang walang kahit anong training, tipong sumali lang para sa shirts. Wala namang problema kung mabagal pero kung lakad lang nang lakad at nakahilera pa kung humarang e sana sa ibang event na lang sila. Andami nang tao rito tapos pasikip pa yung iba. We Run Manila nga e, hindi We Walk and Block Others or Take Pictures of Ourselves Manila. At sila rin siguro yung pumuno sa mga kainan sa malapit. Pahirapan sa paghahanap ng makakainan.

Comparing the adidas kotr, new balance run and nike run.
Adidas was the most organized of the 3 except for the finishers kit redemption. Nice medal too..
Nike edge was the runners kit but the route was a mess they should made it by wave. There was no booth in the venue except for the 3photobooth for 13k+ runner.
New balance was great in every department. Great raffle prizes and nice singlet and nice 25k route..

I think most of the runner was saying this was a great run just because of the kit.

Hindi man ako nakasali sa event na ‘to, masasabi kong you owned the road… and the restaurants/fast food chains nearby! LOL

my observations:

mejo late nag open yung parking space near the start/finish line, or maaga lang akong dumating sa venue. mejo naging chaotic ang paglakad papuntang starting line dahil sa dame tao. slightly late ang gunstart.

hhmmmm. yung mga mag sweethearts running hand in hand (pwede bang run side by side nalang?! sa sobrang dameng participants, mejo nakakasagabal din kasi sa ibang runners eh..tapos ayun.trash. trash. trash. palagi nalang ganun, hindi man lang mai-shoot sa napakalaking trash bin.

akala ko sa mga first NNN runners ang finisher’s shirt. surprisingly, lahat naman (i think)meron. and in fairness, very organized ang distribution. may saging pa!

overall, i really enjoyed this run.. kahit malayo ang MOA sa amin, sulit na rin. Sulit ang pagod and i think nabigyan naman ng justice kahit papano ang pricey (and age-biased) na registration fee nila.

Good run! kaso parang nilangaw yung post-race event. layo kasi ng stage dun sa finish line…

I still rate this run above KOTR. And not because of the finisher’s shirt, tech shirt and bottle water.

The route was new for a 10K (as far as I remember). The DJ’s stationed at some part of the route was an excellent idea. Nakakaengangyo sa mga runners at the 5km point. I also don’t think the route was a mess, there was just so many people who joined but I never felt na siksikan or nagkakabanggaan ang mga runners.

Also, big big plus ang finisher’s kit claiming which KOTR failed so bad. Very organized and no cue at all, and the banana was a nice surprise. As for the booths…..I never give much attention to these booths anyway. Glad if they are there, don’t mind if there’s none. Sa totoo lang pare-pareho lang naman ang mga booths every run and you get the same stuff anyway.:)

B4 nag dalawang isip alo tumakbo d2 kasi nabasa ako mga comments last year pero i still chose nike run rather than the others, tama ang desisyon ko! Sulit na sulit, im not on my 100% buti nalang ang hydration was well placed, so d ako nahirapan although not good pr for me,

daming posers sa event na ‘to. siyempre merong elites, meron ding recreational runners na dedicated din, at ‘yun, merong posers. ayaw man lang tumabi para sa ibang runners. naka-linya pa. yung iba titigil bigla para magpa-picture. i’m not just speaking for myself but for the others also. hindi ako elite. just a regular guy running for fun. pero kahit ganun kino-consider ko rin ang ibang kasabay ko sa event.

I like the run but personally, here’s my opinion on several areas for improvement in comparison to adidas kotr run.

MINUSES:
1.) at the starting line, yung DJ’s, di mo makita maybe stage set up could be improved.

2.) timer ang liit at iisa pa, di mo makita before you run and kapag malapit kana sa finish line

3.) hydration station doesn’t have bananas kahit sana sa 5km naglagay.

4.) finishers medal to all categories sa kotr not just first 100 and walang cut off time (good point for newbies)

5.) kulang sa sponsors and gimmick booths

6.) raffles, cash prizes and others mas madami sa adidas (kaya madaming yanke dun lols)

PLUSES:
1.) tech shirt and finishers shirt are awesome! (hands down)

2.) claiming areas are well organized, coach Rio is very hands on compared to Adidas na messed up ang pila.

3.) loved the music along the way.

4.) marshals are strict to non participants especially to those non shirt runners and mga sumasabay lang :)

Overall it was a good run kasi lahat naman ng runs may +/- so its up to the runners decision if she/he will join any race. :)

well organized na ba yun? the race started late. akala ko 5:30am ang gun start. almost 6:00 am na nag-start. i thought bawal mag-suot ng unofficial singlet? ang sabi wearing of unofficial singlet will be disqualified and will not be allowed to run the race. eh bakit meron pa din? sheeeeesh. and nakaka-disappoint ung mga runners na basta basta itinatapon ung paper cups sa ground.

Okay nman so far.Got my new PR, kahit may mga humaharang sa pgtakbo mo. haha .pero sana nga next time by wave na sya. or may category na.sakit sa ulo ng sobrang daming tao. although cute tignan kasi most of them naka tech shirt talaga :) see you next year!

No need to do it by waves. We Run MNL 2011 hindi congested kahit walang waves. The problem with last Sunday’s run, dami mga kabataan na sobrang naging cheesy kaya puro holding hands, sinasakop na buong kalsada lalo na yung mga group of lovers na kasabay namin sa may coastal mall.

Better yet, lagyan natin ng WALKING LANE!

sana sa mga gustong tumakbo you should read magazines first, kung may oras ka sa mga social networking sites na kinababaliwan nyo sana maadik din kayo sa kakagoogle kung ano ang do’s and don’ts, sa mga nag comment na tumatakbo sa harapan mo sabay titigil super harang talaga pag nabangga mo titignan ka pa ng masama nagsorry ka na sasabihan ka pa ng “ano ba yan basa” what would you expect pawisan eh sorry ah lol sa mga mag jowa pwedeng tumakbo na sabayan mo lang at hindi mo naman kelangan mag holding hands pacensya na pero nakakasagabal talaga

so far maayos naman ang race :) kaya lang nakakasawa na ang MOA to Coastal Mall route :) sana next time baguhin na ang nakasanayan na route, hydration station (basta runrio sagana sa hydration) kaya inde mo pwedeng sabihin na dehydrated ka sa event

the manual says slow runners go “on your left”… apparently this wasn’t followed just like last year.. the difference was the wider Macapagal Highway vs. BGC roads… apparently the faster runners went to the sides of the pack.. the DJs on the course could’ve reminded the runners to stay on their left side not just yappin’, scratchin’ and rappin’.. just my two cents…

It was a good run altogether but they could have segregated the runners in terms of the category of the awards so that it would not have been much crowded at the start. I crossed the starting line 5mins after gun time. Others more than 10 minutes. But all the rest was well organized. Will surely join every Nike Run.
