    Sir/Madam

I registered in the We Run Manila 10K in Nike MOA

i filled up all the necessary blank spaces

then paid my registration fee of P1,200.00

the attendant gave me a sheet of hard paper

and told me to present it in claiming Race Pack

My race entry code is $#@%&**(*

On November 7, 2012 I received a text message from Runrio, which reads

” Please be advised that the Nike We Run Manila Race Pack Collection has been moved to Nove 27-30, 10 am-10 pm at BHS activity area. Thanks!”

I went to Nike BHS to claim my race pack

but unfortunately i was almost not allowed to gain entry

    without confirmation receipt from Nike

I present to the marshalls the hard sheet of paper given to me by the Nike MOA personnel

but they insist that i will not be allowed to enter

I request if i could see the head of their office to state my case and

I was referred to the customer service booth

i queue and tried waiting my turn but the slow snail pace force me to lose my patience

i tried to request the personnel releasing the race pack if they can consider my request

but i got a non affirmative reply

Can you help me on how to avail/claim my race pack?

This is my first time to paticipate in NIke Run and was so excited to wear the tshirt

    Thank you

  6. Claimed my race kit this morning, took me 10 to 15 min only……Hindi pa ganun ka dami ang tao pero mukang ang gulo gulo na. Good luck sa mga mag claclaim lalo na this coming holiday

  7. ara hindi masayang ang training or para mapalabas ang running potential, it’s best na tumakbo sa pace na kaya natin. Surest was to beat the cut of is to run at an even pace. If you go faster the firsl half, tendency super bonked out ka na sa second half. Its best na kahit na seeming mabagal ng kaonti sa first half and maintain mo yung pace na yun till the finish line, surely you’ll beat the dreaded cut off time and get you metal blings and goodies.
We can help you realize your finish line dreams by aiding you in sticking to your pace which is easily monitored kasi ididikit mo lang sya sa arm mo, and ayun, alam mo na kung ilang yung nasayang mong oras dahil pumila ka pa sa portalet sa route, or kung may 45 seconds ka para ipahinga yung legs mong malapit na magcramps.

  8. Got my race pack this a.m as well! It took me only 10 mins to claim 2 race kits. Line was organized and madaming crew to assist you. The ladies race shirt is same as the one they’re selling at nike stores at 1,795 pesos, Plus a water bottle worth 395. Since nike fan ako, sulit talaga! Heheh Also registered runners are entitled to 15% discount upon purchse of any Nike running and training apparel or shoes, promo is good until 2Dec. See u on Sunday, Nike runners!

  9. The race pack contents are great. What is not so great is the treatment I got from the customer service staff/supervisor last night. I did not have aprint out of my confirmation slip and I was asking for some consideration since I got our of my way just to go to BHS (which I believe others did that too), To make the long story short she just said that it is “our policy”. Can you not set up a simple printer or even verify my info in the computer? She just keeps dropping the bomb that “it’s our policy” and treats thie customer as crap. The booth should had been labelled customer disservice.

My experience so far has not been so great. I was trying before to register at Nike Glorietta, but for 2 times, I went there, the person in charge of the registration had always been on one hour break and no one is left to man the registration booth. That’s why I ended up registering online. Then, The final unforgettable experience was the royal treatment that I got at the claiming of the race pack last night. The gist of the pretty girl was I should had taken the extra effort to look into the guidelines in claiming , Can it not had gone the other way and they should had sent text messages and emails reminding us to bring the confirmation slip?

  11. Good day, everyone. Before anything else, I would wish to wish all the participants in this Nike run the best of luck. I do Hope you enjoy your run from start to finish with none of the hassles mentioned by participants in last year’s event.

I actually went to Nike Park at Boni High Street to register for this over a month ago. I am so glad I went there and did not register online. Upon checking out the race and finishers’ shirts, I had no difficulty in deciding NOT to join this event. Why? Upon checking out the two shirts, I was really disappointed with the quality of both. I think Nike took everyone for a ride with the expensive registration fee and promise of two cool shirts.

Sorry to offend anyone who likes them, but in my opinion, they are both pretty crappy. I think people should go beyond the labels and look at quality rather than just go by brands. Yes, the two shirts for this definitely have the Nike label on them, but definitely not the quality of the regular ones they sell at premium prices. I knew this right away after seeing them. The material of the shirt they claim to be and marked as dri-fit seems to be made of the same type of polyester used by the manufacturers of the knock-off or imitation shirts.

FYI, please do not get me wrong, I have nothing against knock-off singlets and shirts. In fact, I myself happen to own a few. But I think that Nike Philippines, in a not-so-indeliberate way, may have deceived many into thinking that they were getting premium-quality shirts of theirs. The dri-fit shirt is nowhere near as nice as the regular Nike shirts. To make things worse, the finishers’ shirt, which they also claim to be dri-fit, in my opinion, is made of ordinary cotton and mind you, very thin, as well. Once again, I make no claims to be an expert whatsoever on fabrics, but my guess is that the thin finishers’ shirt will look quite old after five washings.

Therefore, I find the registration fees that Nike Philippines charged for this race are too high. As I said earlier, I wish l the participants the best. Enjoy your run! I sincerely Hope you do not experience the frustrations of participants last year.

i would normally say, “Break a leg!”, but that would be highly innappropriate for an event like this. Good luck!

  12. i got my race pack this morning, i thought the large size i chose is big for me, but when i got home, tried it, fits right. excited on my first 10k, hope to do well…

  13. got my kit today. finisher’s shirt is a first come first serve basis, meaning? sa shirt size ba yan or sa stocks? kainis namang isipin na under 2.5hrs ka tapos wla kang makukuha sa end ng race. :(

    -running_dorky

  14. @dan v, inggit ka lang ata… hahaha. anyway, medyo malaki ng onti size nila ngaun compared sa last nike we run… sobrang ok ang quality ng shirt…

  15. received my singlet today… i was wondering what’s the purpose of that that small loop at the back of the shirt? is it the port for the earphone cord which was specified in the shirt tag?

  16. ^^^^Obviously, you have no idea of scenario building and creating an environment of giving your customers a “wow” experience. The events organizer should had anticipated all the possible scenarios and planned out accordingly. Reading from the comments in the FB page, the complaints are just mounting up.

I did bring my ID and confirmation email in my phone. It is not stated specifically that you have to bring your print out of your confirmation email. We are living in an electronic age if you have forgotten. If this would be the policy with the airports that I would not be allowed to check in without a print out of my ticket, I would not not have gained access and boarded the plane every time I flew.

  17. Finally got my race kit! Claiming of the kit was really easy although I wasn’t able to get that badge thing-y.
Based on the shirt and bottle alone, very sulit the reg fee! :)

  18. Btw, I know I am dumb. I do hope that the Nike CSR would be willing to help out a dumb person like me. Instead of dropping the “it’s our policy” bomb.

  19. Good morning.
Got my race kit and 7 more yesterday. Konti lang naman ang mga claimant. according sa mga personnel dun, 13,000 plus ang nagregister and 5,000 na ang kumuha nung 1st day. expect the unexpected bulk of the claimant tom (friday)

I was assisted naman. i do understand their side naman. they are tired and stressed out. I was assisted and was able to go home happy and contented sa process. Of course, read their instructions carefully knowing i dont want any stress on my part because of not following. it is as simple as that. All they need is the 1) confirmation letter kasi itatago nila yun (unless gusto mo ibigay ung ipod mo), 2) authorization letter downloaded from the werunmanila10k.com site. 3) photocopy of the id for the authorization letter.

Having 8 kits with me, didnt have problem with claiming my kit and 7 for my friends. except dun sa shirt which was resolved immediately.

advice din sa akin, yung “tag strip” you have to bring it you, ilagay sa shoe laces, dont loose it during the event, then yun ang basehan nila for claiming the finisher’s shirt. kung ano nakalagay na size dun sa tag, yun daw ang makukuhang size ng finisher’s shirt….

good luck sa kukuha tom…and see you all sa Dec 2, for sure..it would be Nikewewalk sa dami ng mga registrant.

    Thank u.

  20. got my race kit yesterday..no hassle at all. :)

at kahit may mga hindi magagandang feedback about the race shirt…for me, ok na ok naman yun! ang lakas kaya maka-sexy!
    lol

  22. @woot, I respect your personal opinion. I decided not to join after seeing the shirtsa and being disappointed in them. I also weighed in the many horror stories participants in last year’s race posted, as well as the ones posted by this year’s participants. All valid points, what they mentioned. And if Nike does not address them this time around, then all the things people complained about last time will happen again come December 2. It is a single-distance race and I assume that it being a Nike-sponsored event, it will have a very large number of participants and if they are not released in clusters, it will be chaos, at least for those who do not want a long walking start.

Therefore, it really has nothing to do with inggit. My decision not to join this race was, in fact, a very objective one. I took everything into consideration: registration fee, date, location, participants’ (old and new) feedback, shirts, etc.

Going back to the two shirts, I found the singlets from other runs like those organized by Hypersports, (Get Fit Run and Tetrapak- with reflective materials pa for those of us who like to run late nights!), Men’s Health (nice singlet and shirt!), United Laboratories, and New Balance, to name a few, to ALL be of better quality than what Nike issued in this run.

I have no desire to argue about the shirts, but for the non-believers, I suggest, that after your run, do take your two shirts (hopefully washed already ha ha) to any Nike store. Compare the two shirts to what Nike is selling in their normal price range from P1200 to P2900 (or any price for their dri-fit and cotton shirts). See if you can find any shirts with the same material as your race shirts. I suggest you go early, long before closing time as it will probably be a long search. And you most likely will not find any.

Both shirts issued by Nike Philippines for this run are very thin. Like I said, the finisher’s shirt seemed to me like ordinary cotton, manipis pa. Would be interesting to see it after five to ten washings. And it has the words dri-fit printed on it. Tama ba yan?! I have my serious doubts on that. Even the shirt for the run is very thin and has that ordinary nylon/polyester feel to it rather than Nike’s dri-fit fabric. True, dri-fit is basically made of polyester, iba ang weave or blend nito. Just compare the two shirts with the ones in the Nike store.

Please do not get me wrong. Hindi ako namimintas. In fact, I am sure that many are perfectly happy with the shirts. Good for them. But I personally go for both QUALITY and DURABILITY. I am writing this for the sake of all consumers, in this case, runners, myself included. I just wish that, for the sake of all, Nike Philipines would issue more authentic shirts, similar to the ones they sell in their store. They should not be closer in resemblance to the imitations that Nike International has been spending millions of dollars to eradicate. I would say the run shirt is not as bad as the finisher’s shirt; however, I suspect it would be hot to run in because of it’s non-perforated material. As for the finisher’s shirt, I think Nike Philippines should not print the words dri-fit on a shirt that is made of ordinary cotton. That is totally misleading the public. I may be wrong about the finisher’s shirt. BUT, if I am RIGHT, then I feel all participants have every right to go to the Nike store and DEMAND a real dri-fit shirt. Honestly speaking, the finisher’s shirt was the last straw for me when I decided not to join this run. I won’t be taken for a ride..

Good luck, all participants! Hope you enjoy your run and register good finishing times.

pasensya na admin i just can’t resist to react hehehe, peace sa lahat sorry sa tinamaan, kunting……… common sense lang

admin pabura nalang or disapproved kung out of topic salamat

    HAPPY RUNNING everyone

  24. Got my race kit and it was nice naman but only for the shirt na mas malaki ang size. I got medium but it seems big for me.

Tamang paglalaba at pag-aalaga kumbaga.

Parang kulay lang yan, you may like the color green but not the color orange.

  27. kung ayaw nyo sa tshirt nyo, i can buy it along with the fin shirt, basta large size (filipino sizing). leave ur #’s hir, il txt u asap

    Good Luck!

all set for WE RUN MNL! lets own the run!

  30. I personally believe that the price is reasonable considering that you will get two Nike Dri – Fit shirts and a Nike Water Bottle which are, not to mention, very expensive when you buy them at their regular prices. Ang ayoko lang ay yung size ng shirts, masyadong malaki since they used American sizing.

  31. Guys!sino po willing makipag exchange ng singlet?mine is medium and I need small for me:)I can just give it on the race day.contact me:09164653794.thank you po!

  32. guys did you notice the difference between nike men and women drifit shirt? mas manipis ang shirt ng pangbabae compare s panlalaki..

  33. @rusell 361 mas makapal daw mukha ng mga lalake kaya mas makapal ang shirt for the men. hehehe. joke lang. nakikigulo lang po. run safe!

  34. Almost 30 ang tents for finisher’s shirt tomorrow sa nike run. Separated ang tents ng guys and gals and ung mga sizes.. Soooo dapat hindi ako maubusan bukas :))) nice to see that coach rio’s there as early as 8:30pm.. Nag sesetup na sila dun :-)
