What is LSD?

Long slow distance is running at a moderate pace in which you can carry on a conversation and in which you aren’t panting for breath and don’t get side stitches (cramps) or a raw throat. Running LSD means that you’re running aerobically, that is, your body is getting sufficient oxygen. Running LSD means that you’re using moderation in your training and not pushing your body to extreme stress levels. Most of your training should be LSD if you want to run injury free. It’s during your LSD runs that your body develops endurance. – Running Injury Free

  1. dami mamaw sa group namin hindi na 7 mins/Kl…wari ko 6 or lower pa, kaya ayun sunog ang pacer namin. Anyway, thanks PINOY FITNESS!!! had a wonderful injury free run. sa uulitin!!! TWO THUMBS UP!!!

  2. @notsooldrunner … i was also there during the LSD run but im not sure if we were together in the same group, i also noticed that the pace was not consistent and it went even below 6min/km …i think the pacer lost control of the situation … he should pace the group on the agreed speed, because the mamaws (as what you have called them) will just follow him. The pacer should have stayed on the group regardless of how many mamaws were present during the run at pinabayaan niya na lang silang mauna…… Anyway, im very happy with the results… and I hope there will be another LSD soon … Happy Running everyone!

  3. @jsncruz hahahaha sunog legs ay di SL hindi SD…. pero malakas naman talaga tumakbo ang pacer namin… hes name is Edgar…. mabuhay ka Edgar!
