  1. Mahal ang race na to! haha

tapos bring ur own gadgets pa.. panu nlng ung mga walang hydration equipment.. too bad..

I do understand kung bakit no cups will be provided. Within their advocacy naman yung rule na yun. Di naman kailangan ng as in mamahaling hydration equipment. Hehehe.

  3. @Brad
Sir, Research before you react.. Sa babayaran, Alamin kaya muna natin magkano mapupunta sa kapus palad compare sa mapupunta sa organizer.. :)

    LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  4. iba pala ‘to sa LITER OF LIGHT.. mas mahal kasi solar lamp ang ipro-provide sa mga underprivileged.

I agree with TrueLove, mahal nga ang race na ‘to at di lahat may hydration equipment! Haha! :))

  5. 10k and bring your own water? no problem. dapat naman talaga na di bini-baby mga runners sa mga hydration nila. pag nagpra-pratice/training ba kayo, nagse-set up kayo ng hydration niyo? hahaha… sasali ako dito.

  6. 10k and bring your own water? no problem. sasali ako dito. dapat naman talaga na di bini-baby mga runners sa mga hydration nila. pag nagpra-pratice/training ba kayo, nagse-set up kayo ng hydration stations niyo? tips naman kung paano niyo ginagawa. hahaha…

  7. Yup.. I do agree with TrueLove.. The registration is TOO MUCH compare to other race with water hydrations..

TSSK!

  8. solar energy foundation is a holistic organization as documented by the motorcycle diaries shown at gmanews tv channel 11. but given the above average registration fees and hydration issues it is doubtful that this race will muster the needed number of registrants. let us hope that the organizers will tweak the race details to convince most runners to join.

  9. Hi. I think they’re just pushing for a green run and not merely for the organizers to have an excuse. A responsible runners know what he is ought to do. :)

  10. Since this is a “green race”, please bring your own hydration equipment. No cups will be provided during the race, but there will be water stations where you can fill up your hydration equipment.

“this is a big mistake from the organizer pag ginawa nila ito… pwede namang hindi gumamit ng plastic cup sa ibang pagkakataon pero hindi sa long distance running… ilalagay nila sa alanganin ang buhay ng mga tatakbo dito… nawa’y magbago pa sila ng pag-iisip kung gusto nilang tangkilikin adbokasiya nila …

  11. @rod: you have a point because a seasoned runner can finish a 10K distance without hydration. how? load up a 500-ml sports drink before running and you can last the 10K distance. this is what i had been doing during weekends under the condition that the run is for fun and not for PR.

And you’re wondering why they made an issue out of the litter in NatGeo Earth Day run?

Yes to bringing (green) light to the dark corners of the country.

  13. just imagine the cost from the organizers if they provide a cup. this can be use instead as an additional money that can be given to our needy kababayans.

    takbo lang ng takbo

  14. dami talaga maarteng runner ngaun.. d na kelangan sa cups pa nakalagay.. tama dala kayo bottled water.. tsaka di naman talaga ganon kamahal ang hydration equipment pede pag ipunan. nakakabili nga kayo ng sapatos, shorts at nakakapagregister eh.

  15. @onin

  16. @barefootdaves…d ba pag nagpractice run ka..ala naman water station?…may dala ka lang bottled water..parang ganun lang…he he he

Sila din ung Bike for Light at sila rin ung Climb for Light. Walang pilitan to… =)

  18. ok lang if bring your own hydration gear…simpleng bottle lang will already do..its a good cause naman eh..ill be supporting this.

  19. mga kaibigan, 10Km lang naman yan. for me as an amateur runner, I can finish this without hydrating my self. a runner in GREAT CONDITION can finish this without hydrating him/her self unless you finish 10Km in 2 hours! LOL

  20. Comment No. 4

Sir, Research before you react.. Sa babayaran, Alamin kaya muna natin magkano mapupunta sa kapus palad compare sa mapupunta sa organizer.. :)

    ———————————————

“Research before you react”? May nakapagsabi na ba sayo na “Respect others’ opinions? Ikaw na matalino. Hahaha.

  21. @Brad

i do respect your opinion.. and no question about that.

there is no wrong thing on what i said? yes it is.. research before you react.. what i just want to imply is that we must know how much would be given to the advocacy..

in milo run alone, if you are running for 10k or higher the registration is 500pesos for the advocacy of giving shoes to public school children. as for me, no problem with the advocacy..
but do you know that in that registration fee/ amount, only ten pesos goes to the advocacy, yes it is..Php10 from that of Php500.. now differentiate and balance which is have the edge- the advocacy as the frontline of the run or the business.

    Just think, analyze and learn!

as you clearly implied “we are entitled to our own opinion”

truly I do respect your opinion and i expect you respect mine.. thanks.. have a safe running..

    LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  23. @true love

what are the inclusion of my P600 if i run for 10k, considering we will bring our own hydration?

    thank you.

  25. \ Meron po bang on-site registration?
    \
\Kuya Kim and Gilbert Remulla are putting their faces in this event which means their reputations are at stake here. If this goes badly, sila din ang badshot sa public. Erwan Heusaff is to draw the screaming teenage girl fans haha. I’m hoping for an appearance on Matanglawin hehe

But seriously that charity angle of every peso raised in registration meaning 1 day of clean solar power for a poor/remote family is interesting. Sana totoo ito.

  26. @bitoy

I participated in their event na Bike for Light. Free shirt, water and lunch po kami dun! :)) Sila po yung nag-iinstall ng lights out of PET bottles.

  27. Bukas na yung run na to. Sana successful kahit di sumasagot mga race organizers dito.

Good luck sa mga tatakbo bukas and have fun! =)

  28. Since this is a “green race” – sana mag provide kyo ng bike racks for participants who want to bike to/from venue.
