  1. yung 5k runners ba may mud pits + tube crawls leading to the mud pits + waterfall jump din? sana meron din..hehe

  2. Ano pong jeeps at buses ang pwede sakyan papunta Timberland? Di ko kasi alam kung tatanggapin tayo ng shuttle sa ROX pag sumipot lang tayo doon at di nagbayad beforehand sa Merrell stores e.

  3. Sana po yung transpo para sa commuters e tulad last year ulet:
    1)Bus or jeep to Sandiganbayan
2)jeep from Sandiganbayan to Pure Gold San Mateo
3)free jeep from organizers. Pickup at PureGold San Mateo til Timberland.

  4. Recommended po ng mga runners last year na:

1)Wear running gloves. The route has a lot of thorned bushes and plant whiplash that cut a lot of people last year. Protection from that.

2)Have a hydration back-pack or belt as opposed to holding a bottle with one hand during the entire race. Its better to have both hands free to grab onto surfaces to pull ourselves up on uphill climbs or to grab onto surfaces on steep downward descents so we don’t slide or fall too fast.

3)Have running gaiters to protect your legs from being cut by thorned bushes and plant whiplash. Was an experience also by runners last year.

4)Trail shoes, trail shoes, trail shoes. People who wear road shoes often slip and slide much more frequently in trail runs than people who wear trail shoes with good grip.

Sadly, I only have the last one of all the items I mentioned above. Pinag-iipunan ko pa yung iba hayys :(

  14. let me congratulate Mr Thumbie. Once again you’ve outdone yourself. The route cannot be any harder than this one.The rains and Fog gave the atmosphere an eerie feeling from the start. The Mud pits where a matter of speaking the Pits. Slippery Muddy difficult but Fun! Kudos to you and all who helped out. Its truly an experience to cherish and to remember!

  15. kudos to merrell adventure run; bull crap to the shuttle service!!! late ang bus namin. pag dating almost gunstart na ng 10k. sa 21k ako btw. tapos yung bus muntik pang tumirik. dinaan na lang sa sundot sundot ng clutch para maka akyat lang… we didn’t even have time to warm up!

overall, i enjoyed the brutal trail. turns out they didn’t need the man made obstacles. mother nature designed her own. dito ko lang naranasan where i literally ate dirt; and tumbled more than i tumbled in my lifetime before.

  16. had a great experience in my first trail run… “playing” in the mud brought back childhood memories…

  17. When I joined this run, it wasn’t about the freebies or how organized it was or how many pocari sweat i get to have. It was all about the technical aspect of the race. It was all about the route. and man I was not disappointed. Thank you Merrell for an experience of a lifetime. So many memories to cherish on this run.

  18. Very challenging route! Lots of slips and slides and awesome mountain-top views of the city. Pwede nang pangwarm-up for RU2 hehe

  19. i conquered….. the rain, mud, uphills, downhills, river, mud pits and the wonderful nature itself….. its a challenge that i wont forget…..

Thank you Merrell’ and see you next year for another more exiting trail run…..

    ;-)
