Salomon – the world’s #1 brand in trail running, will be having the SALOMON X-TRAIL RUN on March 31, 2012 in Tagaytay Midlands.

The race, having a global ‘X-Trail’ branding, will be a trail running race with mixture of different terrain surfaces including dirt, rocks & concrete paths.

which is which? Mt Ugo or this? still pondering pa kung saan talaga… ganda naman ito naka excite.

@vintoto; as per experience of last year’s 21K merrell adventure run at timberland heights, this trail running is quite different from road races for the simple reason that one person can pass at a certain trail at a time. mahirap mag-overtake kaya medyo babagal ka kunti. tsaka mrami din ang uphill at downhill kaya medyo interesting.

@Runnox thanks highly appreciate your comment. kasi i’m getting an idea from last year’s Nathan Ridge Run parang kaya naman. But a friend tells na almost twice raw ng ordinary road run yong hirap based on his experience in Nuvali.

Maybe you forgot something.I hope you could also provide WHISTLE on this part of the trail run for emergency purposes.(BOY SCOUT /GIRL SCOUT) Otherwise , we have to bring our own..”You never know what’s in trail run”,)Hence if you have marshal monitoring this events.We will be feeling so so good.

Same kaya to ng assembly area nung Nathan Run Ridge? Di na ba aabot sa ‘Peak’ tulad nung sa Nathan kasi Midlands daw e kaya baka iba na nga to. Sana pwede rin magsama ng mga friends kahit di sila magrun.

What are the characteristic of trail? It will be muddy, sandy, sloping, concrete or what? It is important for the runner to know exactly the types of trail before going to the race, to anticipate and to practice well.

@dabo-d, I ran my first trail in Nuvali last year without knowing anything about the terrain, the whole 57K of it. I expected it to be ten folds harder than road-running, and yeah, the trail didnt disappoint me! Prepare energy bars and gels, a hydration pack and most of all have first aid kit! :)

Make your next run green! Bring a water bottle. Check out the Nathan Quickdraw option when you reg. Salomon organizers will provide hydration (Gatorade and water) refilling stations.

As of afternoon of March 13, there are no more 24k slots. We confirm that L is the smallest size available.

@Bill mahirap sabihin kung maluwag ang large or pwede na because it is a matter of preference. One of our staff prefers more loose apparel, while another wants to “show off” ;)

Claimed our racekits earlier. Not much traffic yet, but they seem to be hoarding the smaller sizes. Well, Im pretty sure you guys would opt for one size larger than your usual shirt/singlet size. Tech shirt somehow feels uhh off. Sayang, it looks kickass pa naman. Although it’s obviously just a mock-up of the authentic Salomon shirt with honeycomb print.

Just got my race kit delivered here at home today! Weeee! :) Shirt was quite “snug”.. I only have to lose a few more pounds around the tummy area to get that “macho” look with the shirt on. Hehe! :)

about transpo. Sabi sa poster e:
Add 350 for roundtrip bus transfers (ROX to race venue and back)

Pero malabo po kung anong oras… do people have to go to ROX at 2am or 3am and hope that the bus will be there? Please po need more details on the transpo… at may slots pa ba 12k? Next year sana mas damihan pa ang slots

@JP sabi sa registration form, may nilagay na note 2am, and 2:30am yong departure. malamang assembly yong 2am

No more slots. Baka mabugbog ang trail at baka hindi na mapayagan ulit kung magdagdag pa ng slots.
