12K at Php800. As much as I wanted to join its too expensive for me. If you could lower it to 500 or 600 Im sure maraming sasali even without a finishers shirt. Look at Discovery Channels vertical run. They over priced themselves at P1,000 for a 10k run now they are selling it as a register one free one. Sayang ang cause St. Lukes. You have to remember there are a lot of good hearted runners out there but P800 may just be too much for them

If you charge 800, people will expect medals and shirts from you guys. Since this is an advocacy run, you’re gonna say no. tubong lugaw naman ata yun pag 800 tapos walang makukuha, even for “charity” halos lahat naman ng runs may cause.

Seriously P800 for a 12K run??? Tapos singlet lang?

Run United 1’s 21K race costs P900 yet madaming runners nagreklamo for the price increase of P100 vs. 2011. Its one of the much awaited run of the year yet some are thinking whether to join or not because of the steep fees.

Btw, for Run United’s 900 registration fee, 21k runners will get a medal, a finishers shirt and a finishers bag and since its a Unilab and Run Rio event, expect lots of goodies in the loot bag.

Mahal naman P800 ang 12K singlet lang ang inclusion. Pass ako dito hanap ng mas mura and mas sulit na run.

Lahat naman tayo eh hindi pinipilit na tumakbo sa mga race events na mahal. Ang point lang dito, di na makatakbo yung mga low budgeted na runners. Nagco- compare din naman tayo syempre. Kung for a cause, eh di mas maganda. Pero sana makapag donate din sa charity yung mahihirap na runners… =)

From what I heard, this event is organized by the doctors and the fund will go directly to their social development group (yun ba tawag dun?).

Hi to everyone here. I must admit kami rin namahalan sa reg fees but it was necessary kasi ang hirap kumuha ngayon ng sponsor who’s willing to give out cash. But we hear you so we’ve decided to lower the reg fees for 6k to P600 and 12k to P700(3k remains the same).

the well organized fund-raising event last year for the “Run for Japan” (earthquake victims) was reasonably priced at Php 350.00 with singlet. And this event was well attended by runners and non-runners to support the cause. I believed that St Luke’s can do the same so more runners can join and generate more funds by doing so.

At this point, we just need to let everyone choose na lang kung anong event ang sasalihan ng mga tao – lalo na pag may usaping registration fee. Running for charity is out of the question kasi halos lahat naman ng events may kadikit na cause or bene.

In any case, may PF Monthly LSD din naman na libre – walang singlets, bring yer own tubig. Fun din naman yun. FOr sure meron ulit lulutuing LSD ang PF sa March – abang abang na lang.

perhaps it is to trim down cost to the organizers. i suspect they will use a manual approach which is fairly acceptable. accuracy is usually within 30 seconds (+/-)

agree po ako sa iyo brow… sana nga lang din yung ibang organizer is pinapakinggan yung hiling ng karamihan… hindi katulad ng iba porke’t alam nilang maraming sumasali sa event nila kahit napakamahal ay pinipilit pa rin…

I just hope that race organization the doctors hired will execute the race well. Sana sufficient ang hydration stations at may mga marshalls along the route. Hirap kasi baka mamaya masisi ang doctors, kahit nagcave-in na sila sa demand ng mga runners, dahil may pumalpak sa race nila. Personally, I don’t want this to happen kasi my gf tells me how hard the doctors are working to make this event work.

My wife and I are looking forward to this run. It’s for charity so we really don’t mind the registration fee. We do hope though that there will be ample water/hydration stations, lots of marshals to keep the route safe for runners and a clearly marked out route with traffic cones to prevent cars from straying into the race route.

I register 2 racekit 12K to runnr trinoma last feb.27 pero wala silang inabot na GC 600 sa akin.. pwede pa kaya akong makakuha nun?
