I’ll file my vacation leave and i will bring my wife for this event. excited na ko.

I recommend that you guys join this event, i ran in the 21k category and it was so challenging and exciting. Its the vertical running that will tire your legs out, flat roads are gonna serve as your rest moments. You’ll be doing patintero along the curvy steep roads and but no one encountered an accident naman. I remember having to stop and peek at the sharp curvy portions of the hi-way for incoming vehicles tapos i had face to face a wall and stand still dahil sa mga fast vehicles. If you really want a different challenge i recommend that you sign up for this one.

@dbron: mas extreme pa rin ung uphills ng nathan. pero challenging din ung s burnham. (although di ko pa natry tumakbo dun) and mas lalo magiging challenging ung run because of the weather. di gaano malamig ung weather nung nathan s tagaytay eh but i’m pretty sure the weather in baguio will give you a different kind of running experience. :)

based on actual experience this race is highly recommended! i was supposed to join again but reconsidered. race date is easter sunday! yikes! heavy human/vehicular traffic!

this year’s edition was fun and i’d expect a whole lot more for 2012. gotta buy some gloves since its gonna be chilly

worry lang talaga dito e ung crowd.. since it’s Easter Sunday, peak season sa pagtravel ng bus at pagbook ng accommodation..

this is an exciting event. however, the organizer must reconsider if it can reset the date possibly, a week later. april 8 is easter sunday, and baguio would be teeming with tourists and vacationers. full of traffic and lodgings are congested. not to mention, more expensive. runners coming from other parts of the country would find it more difficult to cope.

Hmmm…this happened in-race? You had to patintero then peek..The words..stop.peak.sharp.highway.fast…in one sentence & it describes a race is NOT necessarily encouraging & gives praise to the race organization!? Tama ba po?

i joined in this event last year and I love it! slight problem lang is yung mga sasakyan kasi alam naman po natin siguro na narrow ung mga road sa baguio…other than that maayos yung overall event. May unlimited pandesal pa after the race! =) if i recall it right, last year yung registration site po dito sa Manila was at The Secondwind running stores.

We were just approaching loakan airport when we met Vertek Buenavista (full speed uphill) together with a kenyan on their way back to finish line, already made their u-turn somewhere at Kias. I think Vertek won this race. Just one of the many great moments of Baguio21k 2011.

Baguio21k 2012 already on my list.

Hi cecillevibar! I think Lance A question is valid and not arguable. As a fellow runner, of course the 1st thing that comes to my mind is safety during the road run..If you have to stop, peek, and face the wall so as not to be sideswiped by fast moving vehicles..Then I recommend the organizers should do something ’bout it. I’d like to join this event though.

@pacer: Hi. Road rehabilitation along the course of the route is done and wont affect the 2012 race route. However, there are added hills…. so we call it this time “JUST RUN THE HILLS!” More challenging. Tell your friends about Baguio 21K

i just registered and was able to talk to philip – the race organizer. according to him, start/finish line is at burnham. finisher’s medal for all 21k will be given. personalized bib will be until feb 15 registration only :)

Downhill then uphill pabalik sarap! padagdag lang ng hydration station sa last 5kms. Saka smaller cups na din gamitin para hindi sayang.

i should’ve aimed for an early booking knowing that the event coincided with holy week where most people heed to baguio
