The New Balance Father’s Day Trail Run on June 20, 2010 at Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna awakened my love for running and for which I will forever be indebted to my dear friend for inviting me to the world of running. This was the 5k pair category where I got my first experience on trails. I could never have imagined running offroad would be fulfilling and enjoyable had New Balance not come up with this wonderful event. Incidentally, I would never have thought that a night shift worker like me could ever have the energy and passion for this sport. It definitely was a history in the making, and New Balance was the ‘pen’ with which I began writing that history.

My best NB Power Run is without any doubt the “Unilab Run United 1 2011”- In this run, I was first set for 5k since this was my first run, I was aiming to just finish and enjoy the run. However, come registration the 5k was already closed so my friend opted to register me in the 10k category without me knowing. All along I was preparing for the 5k distance, not until days before the actual run when I was informed that I was up for 10k. I was worried that I won’t be able to make it since I was not conditioned enough for a longer run.

Come race day, all I did was to set my mind to finish the run. I felt fully geared up of course while wearing my NB shoes(rainbow colors)! The race was tough, I was pushing myself to the limit as I felt my legs started cramping but with the determination that I have to be at my best, I was able to finish my 1st 10k race in 1:40. I know that I would not have made it without my comfortable NB running shoes.

To this day, I have participated in 7 running events and I’ve found a significant improvement on my PR (1:05). That is why in this coming race, I plan to continuously improve my PR by finishing in 60 mins.

My best New Balance Power Run experience was in Run United 2. All is well in my third 10k. Great weather, nice route, overflowing hydration, lots of freebies, met some first time runners, free breakfast courtesy of my friend, free ride going home and last but not the least, a new PR for me. I improved my PR by 8 min and 14sec with the mighty help of my running best friend Neuven (my NB 770). I’m very thankful that with NB, I got a right shoes for my feet. It didn’t fail me along the road. :)

My New Balance Power Run would be my first 5k fun run this year. I was late because of heavy rains on the way to the venue that made me start at the farthest back end of the pack. But because of my MR770s good traction and excellent cushioning I managed to run with power through wet and steep road. Overtook a lot of the runners and had a good personal time of 24 minutes! I’d love to race at Chevrolet New Balance Power Run for free and make more milestones!

An erratic work schedule and uprooting to a new hometown had me sidelined from running for more than a year now. But I still recall my New Balance Trail Adventure Father’s Day Run in Nuvali, Laguna last June 2010 as one of my best races.

Coming off from my first marathon weeks earlier, it was to be my recovery run. And run 15k I did. With the aid of my New Balance Trail shoes, I was able to traverse and navigate the rugged terrain and finished in 1:21, a new PR for me.

Now that I’ve already settled in my new home and work schedule permits me to run again, it would be nice to run the Chevrolet NB Power Run 2011 as my comeback race!

My best New Balance Power Run is when i joined FM of 35th national milo marathon (july of this year.) Fortunately, i finished strong even though it rain so hard from start to finish, i still manage to run in a slow pace. I first stopped when i was in 30th kilometer mark. From last year 34th national milo marathon, it was a totally disaster run for me because i used a trail shoes, even the size are half inch in allowance, so i experience blisters on my toes. thanks for new balance shoes that im using now, it prevent me form any kind of injury and i feel im bouncing.

For having ultra lightweight New Balance 890, I beat my PR on the 21K run at AXN Challenge Run. It was praised for its ability to cradle the foot through each strike. The shoe was commended for its cushioning and flexibility, and wear testers commented on its light weight and comfort.

My First NB Power Run was at Nuvali 10K Trail Run. All hope was high for me because i though was an ordinary road run until i reach the grassy route, down hill, river, uphill. My bicep, hamstring, quad was utilize in order to balance the all terrian environment. The NB shoes was able to dry quickly from the river run and boost my speed to the max

I never got into sports during my childhood but i still can’t believe that i was able to achieve alot of personal achievements with running. Running got me into a healthy lifestyle i lost 10 lbs in 2 months, i feel better and alot of girls that i know says that i look better too. Running also helps me keep more focused on enjoying my life in a healthy way than being stressed at work or at my personal life. i’m glad that i’ve started to run and i’m happy that i’m running with an endless goal of reaching my personal dreams.

My New Balance Power Run would be my first ever 21k run at Condura last year, 2 months before my first full marathon. It was an exciting and challenging run but when I was in the 15k mark, I struggled because of toe cramps. The ambulance van even approached me twice but I was persistent to cross the finish line. It may be a slow finish but for me it was one of the best as I crossed the finish line with a smile in my heart! I’d love to race at Chevrolet New Balance Power Run to make another smiling-running milestone!

my best power run was my first 5km run,. i was expecting that i’m gonna be
in the 100+ finishers but when i checked the results i was in the 26th mix
boys and girls,. so for me it was very awesome knowing that was my first 5km
run without practice, it felt amazing.

My Best New Balance Run Experience was the TRAIL ADVENTURE Father’s Day Run
2010 at Nuvali since i love trail running and the trail route was so
challenging due to heavy downpour hours before the start. It was a double
challenge for me since i came from a 10K run the night before and i was
running here the 15K distance.

My best New Balance Power Run experience was Raising Hope. There’s nothing
more empowering than running together for a noble cause. :)

My best New Balance Trail Run was New Balance Father’s Day Run 2010 because
it was my first fun run. The route and distance (10K) was challenging for a
newbie like me on that time and the route was muddy and slippery because of
the rain. It will always be memory to me because it started my love in
joining fun run/races.
