About CAMP RUN:

The Camp Run Series is composed of several running events happening throughout the year at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. The series will feature a military or boot camp theme, a unique race format, and a novel route for the runners. It will also be tailored to encourage continuous participation rather than competitiveness, and will ultimately be developed to become a nationwide program or template.

The races will have 5 kilometers and 10 kilometers distances. Participants can expect race grounds that are not only secure, but smog and smoke-free as the events will be held inside Camp Aguinaldo which has less traffic movement than the regular thoroughfares and roads of usual running routes. Aside from needed facilities such as ample water stations and accurate kilometer and directional markings, the Camp Run events will also provide free training clinics and a designated family and finishers’ activity area.

In order to encourage participants to attend all events of the Camp Run Series, eXtribe also created the “VeteRan” system. This system will recognize runners who went to all of the races under the Camp Run series, and they will receive a special race bib, event shirt, and a commemorative dog tag and medal. Runners can also use the series as preparatory training for the Subic International Marathon, which will be held early 2012.

The various partner foundations that will benefit from the Camp Run Series are the following: the DepEd Adopt a School Program, ABSCBN’s Foundation E-media Project an ABSCBN Foundation Project, HERO Foundation Inc., and 57-75 Movement: Reverse the Education Crisis (a beneficiary of the iamninoy-iamcory runners of). In partnership with Discovery Suites, Businessworld, Total Fitness Magazine, Pinoy Fitness, OneSport, DOLE, Nova Multigrain Cookies, Aero Med, Nathan, ROX and Chris Sports. eXtribe’s campaign will not just be anchored on a single event, but will be sustained throughout the year with the lined up series of races. To know more about the event visit www.extribe.com.ph or call eXtribe office at (02) 438-9021 / (02) 439-3007.

  3. Sana medyo naiba naman yung tech shirt design to distinguish it from the earlier event. Teka, morning event na tapos medyo late na yata.

  4. astig na run to!
    joined the Camp Run 1.
bago ka makarating ng Finish line me parang obstacle, pero it’s your choice kung dadaan ka dun o diretso ka na sa finish line.
wala na sa Chris Sports sa MOA :(
    sana i-open ulit nila dun.
    Thanks po.

  5. The same tech shirt? We have already that.. Hope that they provide a different tech shirt.. Dog tags were already provided in camp run 1… Except from being a night run to a not so morning run (7or8am) …Will there be any difference between camp run 1 and camp run 2? Run happy!

Pero ito ang maiga-guarantee ng takbo na ito…you have the nicest venue and you’ll be treated as the most important citizen while inside the camp. Plus no parking fee, no worries of bukas-kotse gang, and you’ll test your running mettle against the soldiers…something that could never happen in outside runs.

  7. @Rotech

  8. tingin ko kaya hindi na sila nagbago ng shirt from Camp Run 1 dahil konti sumali, malamang marame natira from last time.
    Sana gabe ulit.

    @Rotech
    i agree with you sir!

  9. Thanks, Sir & Mam. I’m trying to promote the camp because I work inside in a private lending company. I think the camp administration is trying to invite the public to visit the camp for fitness, recreation and even educational visits (because on the other side of the grandstand is the AFP theater housing the AFP museum.
I don’t know if they will open the museum to the runners but if the people from Extribe would request it from the administration, perhaps it could be an added package to the runners.
So for those who have the second thought of joining at the moment, believe the testimony of those who experienced joining the previous one. You’ll get the whole value for your money for this run.

  11. Unlike some other runners who posted on this thread… I am not keen on collecting 3 similar tech shirts for this running event… Though I share similar impression like the rest of the guys here that its all worth joining the camp run series 1… I enjoyed it (being a night run and the multitude of freebies they have provided).. But still contemplating on joining camp run 2 …. Run happy!

  12. unang run ko sa kampo nung rounds run for health.. and i must say this venue is really for training grounds.. uphill, downhill grabe.. daming puno… at may free breakfast kami nun.. dito kaya meron?! heheheh

  13. Different color of the shirt for the 2nd camp run — this time it’s green =) the first one was orange. All 5K & 10K finishers will have their Military Dog Tag as their finisher medal.

  14. joined the 1st Camp Run…. though d maganda ang weather succesful pa rin…. ung 1st hapon na ginawa kaya medyo madilim n nung natapos, this time umaga n cya. I love the freebies ( may extra jersey, dog tag, umbrella, bag , banana, and 2 sachet ng nova cookies) may free picture taking pa with matching Army Tank and mga baril….. love this one pero sana palitan nila kulay or design ng shirt kasi para maiba naman dun sa una. Maganda ung shirt nila napakasimple at sarap isuot d cya makati…..pls sana maiba naman ung design or color man lang

  15. pwede pa-suggest sa organizers?
pa-recognize naman ng winners, female and male, 5k and 10k categories?

nakoww…for all we know, mababaw lng kaligayahan ng podium finishers.

    thanks madami…

  16. yes,ill run again mganda d2 2makbo wlang pollution s loob ng campo at mlinis, nakatakbo n ako nung una,so good luck again runner’s see u on finish line…

  17. Puede ba ba sumali pag may kasamang 9 years old kid ? kahit kami na pinaka huli sa run, we just want to have fun and be inside the camp..

  18. @rhaika sorry for the confusion, the color of the shirt for this incoming Camp Run is green.

@jm Yes, he may run :) All you need is for the parent to sign the waiver for the kid.

  19. pls post the final gun time for all category. the envelope says 5:45am for 5k but the leaflet says 7am. ano ba talaga? nakakaloka ha. sana lang walang malito.

  20. @pinoyfitness
u mean you’re not sure? wow! that was very helpful, you “think”? well i guess thanks. that’s better than no answer:)
